Kyra’s POV
The scent of Kieran's intoxicating blend of cedar and musk scent- filled the small space before I even saw him move behind me in the mirror.
I sniffed and tried to calm myself. I looked down and wiped my wet cheeks, avoiding eye contact with him through the mirror.
"Don't let him see you weak," Sylvia growled in my mind, but her usual bravado faltered when Kieran's large hands settled on my waist, turning me to face him with that terrifying Alpha strength.
“You don’t have to hide anything from me, Kyra.”He murmured, his calloused thumbs wiping away tears I hadn't realized were still falling. His touch burned hotter than any human's.
“He doesn’t deserve you.” He growled, the vibration rumbling through my chest. "An Alpha who abandons his pregnant mate deserves neither pack nor pity."
Sylvia whined in agreement, her loyalty torn between our broken bond and the wolf holding me.
