My body still felt weak from the crash, but I refused to stay in bed. As Alpha of the Nightfall Pack, I needed to see my Luna—no, my former Luna—Kyra. I had to know if she was okay after the accident. More than that, I needed to tell her about my family’s decision regarding our bond. Even if we were no longer officially mated, she was still part of my life, my pack, and I owed her the truth.
When I reached Kyra’s hospital room, I took a deep breath, letting my wolf, Alaric, settle in my mind.
Just as I raised my hand to knock, the door slid open—and I froze.
Standing before me was the last person I expected to see: Kieran Carver, Alpha of the Raven Shadow Pack and Kyra’s stepbrother. His icy presence alone made my wolf snarl.
Kyra doesn’t like him. She doesn't even wanna talk about him. I just discovered that she has a stepbrother on our very mating ceremony day. He showed up on that day with Kyra’s father and from the very first time I saw him, I already hated him.
