Jae climbed onto the bed with slow, deliberate movements, his gaze never leaving Elise's. She was still breathless from their earlier teasing, her cheeks flushed, her lips slightly parted, and her blouse loosened enough to hint at everything underneath.
She looked up at him with a mixture of challenge and vulnerability, a look that stirred something deep inside him.
He leaned over her, his arms bracing on either side of her body, and then kissed her.
It wasn't playful this time. It was deep and lingering, a kiss that sent shivers racing up her spine.
Her hands slid up his chest, curling behind his neck as their mouths moved together in perfect rhythm.
She tasted sweet—warm and familiar. His heart beat faster as her fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him down into her like she never wanted to let go.
When he pulled back, she was panting softly, her eyes slightly unfocused.
"You okay?" he asked gently
Elise nodded, lips curling into a breathless smile. "More than okay."
