"He evaded us, Sir." An Agent says to Mr Nobody who chuckles softly.
"I thought he would, Agent K. Agent T also informs me he installed a device in his vehicle to disable bugs, so don't bother trying to track him that way." Mr Nobody says back into the phone and hangs up, to see Tess glaring at him angrily.
'I'm not prepared for this conversation.' Mr Nobody sighs in his head.
"Is he my brother?" Tess asks Mr Nobody.
"Tessa." Mr Nobody says reluctantly.
"So you abandoned both of us!" Tess practically snarls at the man, and Mr Nobody looks down at his borrowed desk.
"I had been on assignment for a year or two after you were born…in Barstow investigating some missing munitions from the Marine Corps Logistics base. When I met his mother, a sweet woman working at a diner."
"I don't fucking care that you fucked someone, I care that you abandoned another fucking kid!" Tess shouts, breaking her composure. Mr Nobody doesn't look at her like a father but as her boss, that makes Tess turn frigid towards him in return.
Tess storms out of his office as much as a spy who wants to keep things private, storms out of anywhere. Making Mr Nobody sigh.
In truth he's not sure Brian is his or Tessa for that matter he's never had their DNA tested but he considers them both his children.
The chances of Brian not being his though are pretty close to none, but Tessa is another story he didn't trust his first wife before he began working for the company two years into his top secret mission in an undisclosed location (Barstow) she filled for divorce.

Stashing the phone that Tess gave me in the small faraday cage inside of the center console, just to make sure that I'm not being tracked.
Arriving home to Supra, Mia, Letty and Suki on a leash pacing by the door. 'At least she's standing on two feet…damn she looks good in that slave Leia outfit…granted most women do unless they're fat slobs or completely flat…with no ass.'
Getting out of Sky leaving the key in the ignition switch, all three pairs of eyes on one pair of optics.
Suki's leash jingles when she shifts her weight, arms folded under her chest, one hip cocked in a "Well, when are you gonna walk me, Master?" kind of way.
Mia's trying to keep her face calm, but I can see the tight worry lines around her eyes.
Letty, though… she's just glaring, like she knows I've gotten myself into something dangerous.
"Alright," I mutter, rubbing the back of my neck. "Cards on the table. I got picked up last night by the cops after the race." I say and that doesn't have the effect that I thought it would.
"You mean after you pulled some Superman shit, and saved two guys from being killed by a crashing helicopter." Letty says sassily and the facts drop like a frag grenade with the pin pulled.
"What?" Mia breathes out, her eyes going comically wide.
"How'd you guys hear about that?" I ask them curiously and Supra turns her head looking away from me.
"Supra, used one of those stealth drones to keep an eye on you…"
"Huh…neat…" I mutter before sighing and leaning against the wall like I'm bracing for impact. "After that the Feds grabbed me, and hauled me in, they tried to scare me into working with them…I didn't give in until they told me that they had some shit…on you and Letty, Mia." I say and reach up to scratch my right temple awkwardly.
Letty clenches her jaw, before taking a deep breath and asking. "The hell does that mean, O'Connor?"
"It means," I say, meeting her glare, "I've got a job…that will wipe your guy's names clean, Mia's, Roman's…and your name as well Letty. Which means no more looking over your shoulders, no more trying to remember not to carry your alias's papers on you or remembering your new name…Roman no longer has to be chained down my his anklet or his PO meetings, I do this… you all walk free…and get to go home."
Mia steps closer, her voice sharp with panic. "Brian, what did you agree to?"
I let out a soft humorless laugh. "Just what we talked about already. I know you guys aren't really cool with me getting involved but it's the only way."
Letty crosses her arms, hard, like she's about to swing on me. "You sold yourself to the suits…again...and this time without even talking to us about it first."
"Brian, I'm really starting to wonder if you actually love us or just think you do." Letty says and it hurts.
'Maybe I don't know how to love...and confuse it for sexual desire...' I idly think.
"Look I'm not going to apologize they claim to have evidence that shows you guys jacking that truck before Race Wars...and this operation that's going down isn't like with just the FBI and LAPD back in L.A. this is multiple federal agencies working together with a Black ops, off-the-books kind of shit, on the side...what if they decided you guys are just icing on the cake?"
The room is unusually silent even Suki looks genuinely serious even in her outfit.
Mia whispers, a soft question I can tell that she's struggling to keep it together at my lack of reassurance that I love them, after Letty's comment. "And who are you going to be doing this with?"
I smirk, though my stomach feels heavy as stone. "Oh just a few of the most reliable people I know..."
Letty picks up on what I'm saying before Mia does and mutters, "You're outta your damn mind."
"Yeah," I admit… "But this is our best option." I finish saying much to Letty's chargrin.
