Ficool

Chapter 87 - Junior, are you just going to leave like that?

"Zephyr, although Impel's sixth prison is not as big as the first five, it still holds at least a hundred prisoners."

"The bounty for each prisoner is in the billions."

"Are you trying to tell me that Rosen single-handedly wiped out the entire Infinite Hell while facing an entire floor of Level 6 prisoners?"

After hearing this news from Zephyr, Sengoku felt his scalp tingle.

Even the news that Doflamingo had robbed the Heavenly Tribute was far less shocking to him,

Not even one percent as much.

"Except for Demon's Heir and Aloof Red,"

Zephyr added in explanation.

"He did it all by himself?"

Sengoku ignored the qualifier and asked again.

"He did it all by himself,"

Zephyr confirmed again.

"Was he hurt?"

Sengoku remembered something.

"Unharmed."

Zephyr's voice disappeared for a few seconds, and then he uttered those four words.

"How long has Rosen been in Impel Down?"

"A little more than three months—less than four!"

Sengoku and Kuzan looked at each other and read the same thought in each other's eyes—That was unbelievable.

Before entering Impel Down, Rosen was a freshman who had only attended two days of classes at the Naval Academy.

Now, a little over three months after entering, he had actually wiped out an entire level of Infinite Hell by himself.

Moreover, he wasn't just fighting one opponent—he faced all the Level 6 prisoners alone.

And, especially, he was unharmed.

This was the key point.

How could Sengoku and Kuzan not find this incredible?

Apart from the Admirals, who else in headquarters could dare to say they could do something like this?

"How did Rosen do it?"

After a long silence, Sengoku finally broke it again, asking the question that both he and Kuzan wanted to know.

Upon hearing this, Zephyr did not speak immediately, as if organizing his words.

After a while, he slowly opened his mouth, bringing Sengoku and Kuzan to Impel Down as it had been a few hours earlier.

…

Impel Down — Fourth Floor

In the Scorching Hell office.

"Ms. Domino."

"Thank you for your hospitality during this time."

"But starting tomorrow, you don't have to prepare meals for us anymore."

Rosen looked at Domino, who was clearing the dishes, and spoke.

"Why, Mr. Rosen?"

"Is there something wrong with the food I prepared?"

"You tell me, I'll change it right away."

Domino happened to be clearing the tableware in front of Rosen.

As she bent down to pick up the plates and chopsticks, she looked up at him closely—

Not caring at all that her movement caused her collar to drop, exposing her dazzling beauty to Rosen.

These days, although she did not enter and exit Infinite Hell with Rosen like Shiryu, they had many interactions.

Occasionally, from the conversations between Borsalino and Zephyr, Domino also clearly realized Rosen's terrifying power.

Impel Down's Level 6—Infinite Hell, the place countless prison guards dared not set foot in easily—

Had been nearly flattened by this man.

Being able to witness the birth of such a legend, even if she only played the role of preparing his meals, still made her feel as if she were participating in history.

"No, you did great."

"I can tell you to carefully prepare every meal. It's no exaggeration to say this is the best food I've ever eaten in this world."

"It's just that I've been in Impel Down for a while now… and it's time for me to leave."

Rosen met Domino's gaze and shook his head slightly.

"Leave?"

"Mr. Rosen, do you mean to leave Impel Down?"

Domino finally processed what he meant.

The man in front of her was not an Impel Down prison guard, but a Naval Headquarters cadet.

It was just that Rosen's strength was so overwhelming she often forgot he was still a student.

"Yes!"

"It's time to leave."

"Speaking of which, I'm truly grateful for your care. If I hadn't been able to eat the delicious food you prepare every day, I probably wouldn't have been able to last several months here."

Rosen nodded.

There was nothing left in Impel Down to keep him.

Neither the prisoners nor the Sea King meals prepared by Domino had any effect on his growth anymore.

After all, Impel Down was a massive underwater prison.

No matter how good the food or conditions for inmates, it was still a prison—Not a place with birds singing and flowers blooming.

Since he could no longer make progress, Rosen naturally didn't want to stay.

"Is that so?"

"In fact, I have always known that Impel Down is just a small transit station in your life."

"This place is not your home. The Grand Line is."

Domino murmured, then put down the bowls and chopsticks, stood up, and looked at Rosen.

She was a little dazed—she had seen this face for over three months, but it still felt unfamiliar.

From the first day he stepped into Impel Down until now, she realized Rosen had been changing every day.

At first, his brows carried the clarity and innocence of a Naval Academy student.

Later, he gradually developed the dignity and bearing of a king.

Now, every gesture was full of the aura of looking down on the world.

Even with a smile on his face, even if his tone was as gentle as possible, he still radiated an arrogance that looked down on royalty.

"I'm just a small deputy warden here."

"All I can do is help you with the food issue."

"So, Mr. Rosen, I can only wish you continued prosperity in your military career after leaving Impel Down—and in your future days on the Grand Line."

Domino looked at Rosen deeply, then bent down and bowed, her voice carrying her blessing.

"Thanks."

Rosen was slightly moved when he heard this.

He nodded to express his gratitude, then reached out to help Domino up, gently patting her shoulder.

Then he stood and walked out of the room he had lived in for over three months, flanked by Borsalino and Zephyr.

"Junior, are you just going to leave like that?"

"Actually, it's fine to leave some contact information or something."

"This department doesn't prohibit any relationship beyond friendship between the Navy and prison staff."

Borsalino teased Rosen as they walked.

As a veteran in his forties, how could he not see Domino's good impression of Rosen?

"You're single anyway."

Perhaps because they were about to leave Impel Down, the usually strict Zephyr not only didn't oppose Borsalino this time, but even agreed.

"I don't have such an idea for the time being."

Rosen was well aware of Domino's crush.

He was no eunuch and had no interest in being one, but he had more important things to do now.

Even if he wanted luxury ships and beautiful women, he'd have to stand at the top of the ocean first.

What's more, Domino wasn't nearly as fun as polishing his Zanpakutō.
