Chapter 99 - SS 99: Upgraded Sacred Cloth, Athena’s Blessing

"What's special about this metal?"

Kaiser sensed that this Metal VII was likely the material blessed by Angels, used to imprison god-level captives.

"Metal VII is a material circulated only among the gods."

"It has excellent energy conductivity and hardness."

"And it can only conduct the power of one individual."

"Once it accepts someone's power, it becomes exclusive to them."

"For you, it's probably the most suitable metal."

"But you'll need to figure out how to address its flexibility."

"Otherwise, matching the qualities of your previous armor might be difficult."

The Old Kai explained.

"Exclusivity?"

Hearing this, Kaiser's eyes lit up.

Wasn't this the perfect material for his exclusive Sacred Cloth?

If he could successfully craft a new Gold Cloth in the Dragon Ball world, the Libra Gold Cloth from the Saint Seiya world could be passed on to Itea.

His new Libra Gold Cloth would become his personal Sacred Cloth.

Kaiser was already thinking about a new name.

Divine Libra Cloth?

The design could be revamped, too.

The weapons could be made expandable.

"Lord Old Kai, where can I find this Metal VII?"

Kaiser asked.

A metal circulated among the gods... getting some shouldn't be too hard, right?

And since even Shenron couldn't acquire it, it must be exceptionally rare.

"I happen to have some in reserve."

"Enough to craft two sets of armor, I'd say."

With a wave of the Old Kai's hand, two chunks of Metal VII appeared before Kaiser.

"Thank you, Lord Old Kai. If you ever need my help, just let me know."

"I won't hesitate to assist."

Looking at the Metal VII, Kaiser smiled.

"Alright."

"You owe me twice now, kid."

The Old Kai chuckled.

Kaiser had immense potential and was a good person.

Otherwise, the Old Kai wouldn't have helped him.

As it stood, Kaiser might be the strongest being below god-level in the entire universe.

That was certainly a good thing.

Eagerly, Kaiser took the Metal VII back to West City.

"Bulma, take a look at this metal."

"I got it from the Old Kai."

"It has excellent hardness and energy conductivity. We just need to solve its ductility and flexibility."

Kaiser pointed at the two chunks of metal on the ground, speaking to Bulma.

"Oh?"

"A metal circulated only among the gods?"

Bulma's interest was piqued.

"Come on, tool guy, cut off a small piece for me to study."

Poking at the metal, Bulma said to Kaiser.

When Kaiser had left earlier, she tried using instruments to cut parts of the Sacred Cloth for analysis.

But no matter what she tried, she couldn't cut it.

Two machines had even broken down.

Bulma realized that Earth's instruments likely couldn't cut this metal.

"Swish…"

A sacred sword appeared in Kaiser's hand.

"Bang!"

"So hard…"

Kaiser's eyes lit up.

The hardness of Metal VII exceeded his expectations.

In terms of hardness alone, it surpassed Orichalcum, also known as Orichalcum Steel.

"The individual combat power in the Dragon Ball world and the Saint Seiya world is roughly comparable."

"Though their expressions differ, Beerus and the Main Gods are likely on the level of single-universe combatants."

"Beings like Angels or the Grand Priest are beyond that, at a super-universal level."

"By that comparison, Metal VII is likely the material for crafting divine Cloths."

Kaiser's gaze grew more intense as he looked at the Metal VII.

He wondered what it could achieve when combined with the Cloth Gem.

And this was without any energy enchantment.

According to the Old Kai, Metal VII's energy conductivity was exceptional, and its hardness increased when energy flowed through it.

How else could Angels use it to seal god-level captives?

"Boom!"

A small piece of Metal VII was forcibly cut off.

"That tough, huh?"

Bulma looked at Kaiser in surprise.

She knew how strong Kaiser was.

He could kick planets like balls.

Cutting a piece of this metal was surprisingly difficult.

"The hardness of this metal exceeds my expectations."

"It's going to be tough to study it thoroughly."

Kaiser remarked with a sigh.

The sacred sword he just used could easily slice through a planet.

Yet, when it struck Metal VII, he felt significant resistance.

"Alright, leave the rest to me."

"You don't need to worry about it."

Bulma shooed Kaiser out of the lab.

She began her research.

Kaiser headed to the gravity training room, focusing on cultivating his Ki and meditating on his Cosmo.

A week passed quickly.

"Kaiser, are you there?"

Goku arrived in West City with Gohan.

"What brings you here?"

Kaiser was surprised, not expecting Goku to still be around instead of training with King Kai.

"I'm here to entrust Gohan to you."

"You once said he has great potential."

Goku said, a bit embarrassed.

After returning to Mount Paozu, he couldn't stop thinking about Kaiser's words.

Letting Gohan's potential go to waste was something he couldn't accept.

"Of course."

Kaiser smiled.

Gohan's potential was immense.

Even greater than Goku's.

When he ascends to godhood and the Hall of Heroes officially opens, Gohan could become one of its top warriors.

Relieved by Kaiser's response, Goku gave Gohan a few words of advice before heading to the Other World with Kami.

"Let's go, we're starting…"

Kaiser didn't give Gohan any time to settle, pulling him straight into training.

With Senzu Beans available, as long as he didn't die, Kaiser would train him to the limit.

He wondered what expression Goku would have when he returned to find Gohan stronger than him.

Gohan, looking bewildered, was dragged into the gravity training room.

Thus began his grueling training journey.

Time slipped by amid Bulma's clanging experiments and Gohan's grunts and shouts.

A year passed in the blink of an eye.

"Kaiser! Come to the lab, quick!"

Bulma's excited voice reached Kaiser's ears.

Kaiser, deep in meditation, snapped his eyes open.

Gohan, meditating nearby, was also startled awake.

"What's up with Aunt Bulma?"

Gohan asked, confused.

"Has she figured it out?"

Suppressing his excitement, Kaiser hurried to Bulma's lab.

As he opened the door, a metal gleaming like the sun caught his eye.

"Quick, Kaiser, try this metal!"

"After my research, I've maximized the ductility, repairability, and flexibility of Metal VII."

"Not only that, but I've slightly improved its hardness."

"And there's no loss in energy conductivity."

"Try it and see if you can replicate the Gold Cloth you mentioned."

Bulma, her hair tied in a high ponytail, pointed at the Metal VII.

"Alright!"

Kaiser took a deep breath.

He looked at the transformed Metal VII.

The Cloth Gem began to emerge.

It floated slowly toward the Metal VII.

No deliberate crafting was needed.

As if summoned, the Metal VII began to shape itself under the Cloth Gem's influence.

Soon, a gauntlet appeared before Kaiser.

Kaiser grasped the gauntlet and put it on.

"Buzz!"

He infused it with his Cosmo.

The gauntlet glowed with golden light.

"There's no sense of weight, and the comfort is flawless."

"The energy conductivity is outstanding."

"This Cloth is even better than the original Gold Cloth."

"It enhances me even more."

Kaiser looked at the gauntlet with delight.

This meant he had successfully upgraded his Sacred Cloth.

This was a Cloth uniquely his.

Though it still relied on the Cloth Gem, Kaiser had no intention of removing it yet.

A new Cloth appearing out of nowhere would raise questions.

With the Cloth Gem, many issues could be explained more easily.

"Buzz!"

His golden Cosmo flared.

The remaining Metal VII began rapidly reshaping.

"Clang!"

The Libra Gold Cloth enveloped him.

Surging power coursed through Kaiser's body.

"Incredible. This energy conductivity, this defense, and this enhancement."

"This Cloth might not be weaker than a Divine Cloth."

"It could even surpass it."

Kaiser hadn't expected Bulma to achieve this level.

Most importantly, this Cloth was perfectly attuned to him and the Cloth Gem.

The result was far greater than the sum of its parts.

"Bulma, you're a genius!"

Kaiser, overcome with excitement, kissed Bulma's cheek.

"Uncle Kaiser, your armor is so cool!"

Gohan's eyes sparkled with admiration and envy.

Kaiser could never have imagined that this moment would shape Gohan's sense of style.

"With this Cloth and my Eighth Sense Cosmo, I could take on a regular second-tier god."

"Even without revealing my divine artifact, I wouldn't lose easily."

Kaiser clenched his fists, assessing his condition.

This would allow him to act more boldly in the Nine Realms.

Even hunting gods or divine beasts wasn't out of the question.

"Hm?"

"What's that?"

"The Saiyans are coming."

Kaiser smiled.

It was time to test the results.

"Come on, Gohan, time to show the results of your training."

Kaiser patted Gohan's shoulder.

"Got it."

Gohan's eyes were resolute.

Over the past year, he had learned a lot.

From Kaiser, he gained immense knowledge.

Most notably, his combat power had soared.

Gohan's normal battle power had reached 30,000.

If Kaiser hadn't considered that his body was still developing, he could have been even stronger.

Goku returned from King Kai's training.

Bulma rushed to join the excitement.

The group gathered at the landing site of the Saiyans.

"Gohan, you've changed so much."

Goku looked at his son.

The childishness in his eyes had faded.

He looked like a little adult now.

"Dad, it's been a while."

Gohan was emotional.

"Boom!"

The spaceship crashed down.

Vegeta and Nappa stepped out.

"You lot showed up in force."

Vegeta's eyes glinted with disdain as he surveyed the group.

At this point, he was still the untested Saiyan Prince, brimming with pride.

"Vegeta, save me…"

Raditz, lying in the back, looked at Vegeta with desperate hope.

"Useless."

Vegeta's gaze was icy. Given the chance, he'd be the first to eliminate Raditz.

"You're Kakarot?"

Vegeta turned to Goku.

The scouter showed Goku's power level at around 5,000.

That was a level most elite Saiyan warriors couldn't reach.

"Your strength is more than that, isn't it?"

"I recall you saying you can control your power level."

"How much are you hiding?"

"What's your real power level…"

Vegeta's expression grew serious.

Because of Goku's challenge, he had trained rigorously.

His power level now exceeded 20,000, stronger than the original 18,000.

Nappa's power level had also improved slightly.

"Vegeta, you're no match for me."

Goku sensed Vegeta's Ki and shook his head regretfully.

His base power level had reached 25,000.

With the Kaio-ken, he'd be even stronger.

"What a joke!"

Vegeta roared in anger.

Tossing aside his scouter, he charged at Goku.

Kaiser and Gohan sat back, watching calmly.

They observed the fierce battle in the sky.

"This is getting boring."

"Keep an eye on things."

"Let me know when it's over."

Kaiser glanced at the fight, losing interest.

He left the battlefield.

Gohan stayed put, watching.

The others didn't mind Kaiser's departure.

They knew he was strong.

But they still didn't know his limits.

From what they saw now, they might have underestimated him.

Kaiser returned to West City.

"My goal in the Dragon Ball world is complete."

"Now, I need to deal with the World Tree."

"If I can gain the blessing of three Gungnirs and merge them, my power will skyrocket."

"The Ninth Sense is within reach!"

Kaiser's eyes gleamed.

His figure vanished.

Nine Realms… Imperial Capital…

Kaiser opened his eyes in a room.

This time, he hadn't passed through the Hall of Heroes.

"Buzz!"

Eagerly, he summoned his new Sacred Cloth.

"This power!"

Kaiser was thrilled.

Returning to the Saint Seiya world, he felt the Cloth's enhancement was even greater.

"Where did you get that Cloth?"

Athena's presence was stirred, her projection appearing beside Kaiser.

She studied the Cloth, her eyes filled with astonishment.

She could tell the materials were extraordinary.

"Interesting."

"Another of your little secrets?"

Athena gave Kaiser a playful smile.

"Not bad, right?"

Kaiser grinned back.

"Indeed, not bad."

"Its hardness surpasses Orichalcum Steel."

"But it's still missing something."

"Wait here."

Athena vanished.

When she reappeared, Silver Star Sand and Gammanium coated Kaiser's Cloth.

"The Cloth Gem needs these materials to reach its full potential."

Athena said calmly.

Kaiser immediately felt the Cloth transform.

The Libra Gold Cloth now resembled a Divine Cloth.

It looked even more splendid and powerful than a Divine Cloth.

"This is a perfect Sacred Cloth."

"This Cloth's strength rivals that of a Main God's divine armor."

"It just lacks a bit of consecration."

"I can't bless it now."

"But at the next Holy War, I'll grant it my blessing, and it will match a Divine Cloth."

"Even now, it surpasses a Divine Cloth."

"Congratulations, Kaiser."

"You now have the power to confront gods head-on."

Athena said with a sigh.
