Chapter 67 - Remember in your next life, don't provoke Luthor.

"The Luthor Family!?"

The black man was suddenly enraged.

"It's all because of the Luthor Family!"

He shoved Gabe aside and swung the butt of his gun, slamming it hard against Lex's face.

Bang!

The immense force knocked Lex down, the bald man falling and spitting blood onto the floor.

The blow had ruptured and injured his mouth.

"But it's perfect." Earl sneered, walking towards Lex and pointing his gun at Lex's head. "You lead the way, take me to the third-floor entrance!"

Lex endured the stinging pain on his cheek, his mind racing.

He had no idea there was a third floor in the factory.

But now, the Black man, Earl, was in a bad state, on the verge of a complete breakdown. The first thing he needed to do was calm the guy down.

At the same time, he needed to use a trick to lure the Black man towards Gino.

Lex rolled his eyes, feigning weakness, "The, the third floor has already been emptied."

"Then where is it now!?" Having received confirmation from Lex, Earl was even more certain of his judgment. Damn the Luthor Family, they were really hiding the exact location of the room.

Spit sprayed onto Lex's bald head. He lowered his head, his eyes gloomy, "The third floor was moved to the underground basement, right in the elevator."

"Too slow, too weak!"

Boom!

A fierce and swift fist slammed into the pale, gaunt face.

The zombie-like Bizarro crashed to the cold metal floor, one hand covering his cheek as he looked up at Gino with a face full of grievances: "Gino Uncle, bad."

Hearing Bizarro's strange tone, Gino sighed and rubbed his forehead, "Shut up, Bizarro, call me Gino."

"But..."

Gino ignored Bizarro and picked up the water glass on the ground, taking a sip.

"Beep beep~"

A cold electronic voice echoed in the empty laboratory.

Gino turned his head. Through the slowly rising, massive blast door, he saw Chloe, her face etched with worry, standing outside the metal gate, fists clenched, tears welling in her eyes.

"Chloe?"

Gino frowned, turning to Bizarro. "Go back to your room, Bizarro."

Bizarro, obedient to Gino's words, flickered away like a wisp of wind.

Once Bizarro was gone, Gino stepped towards the door.

"How did Chloe know the password to the underground base?"

Gino frowned, pondering the reason.

"Did Lex tell her?"

Boom!

Reaching out to press the door-close button, preventing the metal door from opening and exposing the secrets of the lab, Gino dashed out of the lab at lightning speed.

Boom!

The electronic gate that had been open slammed shut again.

"Chloe."

A gentle voice sounded from behind Chloe.

The girl was startled by Gino suddenly standing behind her, and she even bit her lip in her surprise.

But the next second, the girl seemed to have found her anchor and threw herself into Gino's arms, weeping: "Gino, please, save my father!"

"What happened to your father?"

Gino wanted to push Chloe away, but seeing the crying girl, he silently lowered his arm.

Tears the size of beans soaked Gino's shirt. He patted Chloe's back and asked as patiently as possible, "Tell me quickly, or how can I help you?"

He remembered that Chloe's father was a factory manager, and then he thought about the girl knowing the laboratory password.

A bad guess came to mind.

Sure enough, when he heard Chloe's next sentence, Gino's guess was confirmed.

"It's, it's the Metropolis killer who snuck into the factory. He's holding the students who were visiting hostage, with a gun pointed at my father, and your brother is among them!"

"They're on the fourth floor now. Clark wanted to stop Earl, but he was knocked down." Chloe kept chattering, but strangely, she didn't get a response from Gino.

The girl hesitantly raised her head, only to meet a face as cold as ice.

His eyes, a deep, haunting blue, were filled with killing intent. Gino stood silently, his lips pressed together.

But this invisible silence felt like a mountain of pressure, pinning Chloe down, making it impossible for her to speak.

"Gi, Gino..."

Chloe swore she'd never seen this expression on Gino's face before. His handsome features were twisted with a violent killing intent, silently expressing his current fury.

"Crack, crack, crack."

The sound of bones grinding together, enough to make your teeth ache, erupted, but it was just the sound of the young man slowly clenching his fists.

Gino slowly tilted his head upwards, looking at something above.

His gaze swept across the solid concrete floor, over the tangled lines and steel pipes, and finally locked onto the elevator descending on steel cables.

Inside the elevator, a familiar figure was being held at gunpoint by a Black man, the two of them seemingly engaged in an intense conversation.

Gino's eyes scanned the elevator shaft, and an idea formed in his mind.

The elevator slowly made its way towards the basement level.

Earl's hands trembled involuntarily. It was almost time, so close now, he'd be well again soon!

Boom!

A teeth-jarring vibration exploded within the elevator shaft.

"What was that?!" Earl asked, his face etched with anxiety as he looked up.

Something seemed to have jumped from the second floor onto the elevator roof.

The black man aimed his gun at the metal above: "Whatever you are, I'm warning you! Lex Luthor is in my hands!"

"Thump!"

Another crisp sound, and this time, it seemed to be getting closer.

"Get out of here!"

Earl roared, pulling the trigger towards the roof.

Bang, bang, bang!

Three bullets shot out of the muzzle, whistling as they pierced the metal and disappeared into the darkness above.

In the deep silence, everything seemed to have returned to stillness.

"Dead, is he dead?" Earl breathed a sigh of relief, feeling he'd been a little too tense.

Boom!

Before Earl could even fully exhale, five slender fingers suddenly pierced through the iron plate above his head.

Rip!

The hands tore through the iron plate with ease. Then, Earl saw a pair of eerie, blue eyes glowing with a cold light.

Buzz!

Ice-cold light immediately struck Earl's right arm, freezing it solid at a visible rate.

"My hand!"

Earl let out a miserable howl. The powerful freeze ray might have only caused Superman a slight sting, but for Earl, who was just an ordinary person, it was like being stripped naked and thrown into the Arctic.

Heavy ice encased Earl's entire arm, along with the pistol, which was also frozen solid. From a distance, it even looked like a work of art filled with violent beauty.

"Snap!"

Gino jumped down from the elevator, tearing through the gap.

The young man glanced at Lex, who had blood on his lips, and a shadow passed through his eyes.

Gino raised his head, looking down at Earl, and slowly opened his right hand.

Earl's eyes widened.

Three flattened bullet heads lay in the broad palm.

"How is this possible?"

Earl was momentarily stunned, and he thought of the scene in the hospital, his eyes filled with fear.

"You... you're a devil!"

"Slap!" In response to Earl's words, an iron hand clamped down on his jaw.

"Crack~"

The sound of bones cracking filled the air, and Gino had crushed Earl's jaw alive.

"Mmph mph!" Mixed with blood and broken teeth, Earl's tongue trembled as he made an indistinct sound.

"Good boy, open your mouth and eat them." Gino, with a smile on his face, shoved the bullet into Earl's mouth, and pinched Earl's neck to make him swallow it. "It's not good to throw things around, you Nigga."

Watching Earl swallow the bullet, Gino looked thoughtful, then pointed at Lex and said:

"You punched my brother. I'll punch you now. Fair, right?"

Earl shook his head frantically. He knew the consequences of getting punched by Gino.

Ignoring the whimpering black man, under Earl's desperate gaze, Gino slowly raised his right fist, his eyes filled with indifference: "Remember in your next life, don't mess with the Luthors."
