Argh.
Oh , it's you
You nearly gave me a heart attack I said to her as I made to tighten my towel . looking back at me , without a little bit of care, she replied, smirking, did I?, Subtly making her way up to me unbothered ,while flipped her hair back charismatically
Chuckling at my scrowl, she pulled out some edibles from the cavity of her hoodie, while gesturing for me ,to come have some
And to this gesture I did nothing but wave it off dismissively
No eating any extra food after 8pm, I responded flatly to her
You should know by now that we have ordinances ,erdicts, call it what you must but we have laws
Slumping into my chair, she grumbled,
Augh, buzzkill, stick in the mud, vibe destroyer, and other names I can't say for the fear of parental guidance
I rolled my eyes, getting tired of her antics
What are you doing here, as you can clearly see, I was on my way to be arrayed
Looking at me, she scoffed, I'm not holding you from getting changed, no need to use Shakespeare grammar to explain the situation
Tch
Look!, Sister, I'm wet and trembling, could you grace me the honor of you slipping out
Giggling at my statement, she sat up straight, stroking her chin, and looking at me mischievously, before finally letting out a smirk, That's what she said
"_":huh
With a furrowed brow, I looked at her, clearly confused
Who said?
Chuckling, even more uncontrollably, she banged the desk
Should I remind her that it's late
Calming herself down, she finally sat upright, looking at me.
Ignoring her gaze , I turned away from her, going to get changed, taking in the cover of the closet
For a minute or so the room was filled with sweet silence, well...., That was until my sister decided to jabber her feelings away
How are you so strong, her once loud and enthusiasm filled voice now hushed. perking my head out the covering, noticing her with her head lowered, I replied to her question
What do you mean, still fidgeting she answered, um Dad...
Father, I corrected her
Yes father, she continued, he did hit you right
What does it matter, I replied to her , slightly curious
Why did he, she asked , her questions never ceasing
Realizing she won't rest until I answered her, I emerged from the closet ,fully clothed and with a sigh, i responded to her
It's because I broke a law, yes a law!,and father stands in the mid line, as an executioner, helping those who broke any law to get back in line, or else they'll be shunned not only by society, but by the higher force
Our mother
Knowing we'll be doomed , i continued,if we we were ever to be shunned by them, our lives were as good as over, he takes it upon himself to be the bad guy
See he loves us, and nothing, is contestable to love, well as far as I know , and I know plenty much
With a wavering smile, she walked up to me, and placed a bandage on my head, you are delusional my sister, but maybe that's just one of your perks
Responding with a smile, I bent my knees to reach her eye level , as she placed it expertly
Then , out of the blue, she held onto chest, groaning, worried I made to see what was happening
Suddenly, she started laughing, that smile of yours , it's so sweet , it's giving me diabetes, her statement instantly triggered another smile
Making her groan more, augh, she said holding on to her teeth this time, cavities!
This girl, anyone taking her seriously is jeopardizing their mental health
See, that's a lovely smile, warms me right up,she said as she fell into my arms
You should smile for often, returning back to her once serious self , she spoke up, do you think I could ever be like you,
Diligent, exquisite, fabulous, exceptional, composed and talented
Don't, don't aim to be like me, I'm no good, I'm a defect, chuckling she replied, if you are a defect ,then what am I , a defecter
Giving a slight smile at her purposely placed wrong grammar, I gently caressed her hair, stroking if gently, I hated physical contact as much as the next person , but this was the only way I knew to calm someone down
Resting in my arms, she slept off, leaving her hair in my care, looking at her silly black wavy hair, I realized my sister, did take all the good looks, in the family, but at this point, who am I to mind, as long as she looks peaceful like this
Engrossed in my thoughts, I failed to notice footsteps approaching my door, nor did I notice my door being flung open
When I did look up, my eyes quivered at the sight of such an intimidatingly figure, I tapped my sister awake,as I gulped in some of my saliva
Groggily, she turned, but when her gaze landed on the cold stance of my mother, she Immidiately sprang up
Looking over at the desk , she pointed, who took those snacks from the counter
Not wanting my sister to get in trouble, I interrupted her, I did
My sister turned to me, her expression clearly spelt shock and something more of disappointment, questioning me ,why, while my mother looked at me, her expression filled with disgust
Yes, yes!, I had lied, it felt alien to me, left a bad after taste, why had I done that, I didn't do things without thinking, I just thought my sister would be in trouble, but by the expression she was giving me, I wish I had just stayed shut
Mother quickly instructed, yedwa to get off my laps, towering over me ,not making any signs of coming closer , she said
My biggest flaw is being your mother, with that she looked at me with disgust and left with my sister, neither turning back as they left
mother is not one known to speak much , through out my entire life time she rarely spoke to me and she had no flaws, no flaws, not even one
Her words alone were enough to pierce my
heart, she didn't even care enough to hit me
Coiled in the floor, with my arms hugging my legs, why had Iied, that look they both gave me, I wish I could take it back, I am now too insignificant, she felt too repulsed to even hit, what have I done we don't break laws , only I have done
Maybe I am actually a defect
