Chapter 8 - FIRST TASTE OF CHAOS.

The doors to the library barged open and in trooped a number of students, two tall centurial demons charging ahead of them.

The one on the right was yellow skinned and donned a pair of large round glasses. A long thin tail trailed out behind him flicking in the air and expressing his displeasure. The one on the let was more normal looking with peachy skin, black hair and wide black eyes. The only demon trait he possessed was the small pair of bat wings that fluttered on his back.

"Sloth! What is the cause of so much noise?" the spectacled demon boomed, the annoyance as evident in his voice as it was in his expression. Sloth, the sloth demon librarian scampered to his feet pushing past the throng of students crowding his table and blocking his path to the two academy instructors that stood in the center of the library entrance.

"Instructor Heinz, it is an honor-"

"I don't need your stupid honor, I asked a question and I want answers!" Heinz scolded cutting Sloth off as he adjusted his glasses. The winged instructor laughed. "Calm down Heinz. I am petty sure this hot headedness of yours is what has prevented you from becoming a professor all these years" he teased, black eye brows lifting in amusement.

"Besides, we don't need to question Sloth when the answer is right in front of us" the demon continued as his eyes glanced at the toppled shelves to the far left of the library's ground floor.

His eyes scanned the fallen shelves as beneath them, he noticed two legs sticking out from under. His gaze travelled sideways to rest on the four demons standing together at a separate shelf. Well, three demons and one creature that was definitely not supposed to be within view of the academy students.

Heinz was greatly annoyed by Ysur's words but alas, the winged demon was by far his superior so he could only grit his teeth in annoyance. He was saved the trouble of murdering the demon in his mind when his eyes finally viewed the scene before him. He recognized Water, Erik and Galdot- all students of his, as they stood around a strange boy with half gold and half black hair.

He couldn't feel any mana from the boy and the boy himself was not dressed in the typical black body suit that was the academy's uniform. Rather, he was dressed in a billowy white button up shirt and dress pants that were a little too big. Basically, he was unidentifiable.

Heinz squinted in annoyance once more, index finger going up to adjust his glasses once more.

"Students Erik, Galdot, Water. How nice to join your meeting" he greeted, his voice so menacing, the students couldn't even dare to assume he was being sarcastic. Even though he actually was.

Water sighed in annoyance while Erik, the horned demon with black hair flinched. Galdot, the towering one just turned around to face the new audience.

"Teacher, we found this intruder trying to steal a book. When we tried to stop him, he sent Medes flying with a punch" Water explained, not even blinking at the blatancy of his lie.

'Intruder? How does an intruder get into the academy?' both instructors thought but decided not to call him out as, now, all the attention had been thrown to the strange boy with heterochronic eyes and hair.

A lot of murmuring began to erupt from the students who could not help but follow their instructors to see what had been loud enough to disrupt their classes. Aryan's appearance and lack of perceivable mana had all of them stunned into silence in the beginning but now that they were accustomed to him, they began to talk.

"A mana-less being?" "Do pathetic creatures like that still exist?" "Disgusting... the low being dared to desecrate our school"

Ysur was beginning to get uncomfortable and Heinz was beginning to figure out who was beneath the fallen shelves. He wasn't sure the kid's name but he was sure it was his student and knowledge of the fact that a stranger an possible intruder had attacked his student filled him with rage.

Before Ysur could say anything, Heinz rushed forward appearing in front of Aryan within a second. His hand lifted in the air to strike Aryan, a faint buzz in the air around his elevated palm. The buzz sparked as his hand moved and there was an explosion that sent books flying everywhere and smoke filling the room as some of the books caught fire.

Water and the two other young demons found themselves on the other side of the room in the arms of Ysur. Already, one of the tall, nearly ceiling-high shelves had caught fire surrounding Heinz and Aryan in the smoke.

Water smirked with mixed emotions. He knew that killing the mixed race was an option he might have had to explore but now that it looked that way, he found himself unable to suppress the gnawing feeling of guilt in his heart.

The smoke rose up filling all the floors of the library as the fire aggravated. Both Heinz and Aryan were still nowhere to be found.

P.S

YSUR is pronounced yi-suh
