Chapter 17 - No rules

Skill Zero - One Step.

A dagger appeared at the mysterious figure's neck in an instant. Each time Kyle used his skill, something changed. the mysterious figure adapted, and with every strike, the blade came just a little farther from its mark.

Kyle speak with intrest voice.

"You're getting faster each time, So you can adapt to your environment too? Guess there's no point in holding back."

The mysterious figure kept dodging effortlessly, a playful smirk on his face.

"If your strike is faster than sound then I will ne even faster than the strike itself."

Kyle stepped back for a moment, focusing intently. He tightened his grip on the dagger.

"Skill One - Countless Strike."

In the next instant, a deafening sonic boom echoed across the city. Kyle was already behind the mysterious figure, casually wiping the dagger on his clothes.

"Rest in peace."

The moment he spoke, an unseen force erupted out of nowhere. Buildings, roads everything were torn from the ground, shattered into dust-like fragments. The mysterious figure's body disintegrated completely, reduced to nothing, not even a single cell remained.

The masked girl watched the scene with disappointment.

"This time, you can't come back to life," she said coldly. "He enchanted his dagger with a sealing spell. Not even great myths like demons or devils can escape from it. It doesn't kill you"

she looked at the beautiful moon.

" it seals any soul, even if they don't exist in this world."

Kyle looked at her and walked forward with an almost smug smile stretching across his face.

"Look, sister… I've sealed that sourceless being again," he said, tapping the dagger against his palm. "And I didn't even use my real power. Come on, can't you at least compliment me for that?"

He tilted his head, waiting for an answer, but she stood still, her expression unreadable.

Kyle sighed, shaking his head in mock disappointment. "Hah… as expected from the organization's true slayer. Always cold, never impressed."

He glanced back at the destruction behind him and smirked. "But you saw it, right? No one else in this city could've pulled that off. Not even close."

A sudden, quiet hand reached from behind and gripped Kyle's head, twisting it sharply until a sickening snap heared hrough the air.

A mocking voice followed, dripping with amusement.

"You really shouldn't celebrate so early… the fight has only just begun. Now things are about to get interesting."

With his neck twisted unnaturally, Kyle let out a laugh.

"Skill Ten - Form: Particle Moonlight."

In an instant, a colossal wave of compressed air exploded outward, ripping through the entire country. Everything in its path like mountains, cities and forests was shredded into particles within nanoseconds.

The mysterious figure was sliced apart over and over. No matter how many times he regenerated, the relentless barrage of cuts found him again, carving his body into nothing but dust a million times over.

Desperate, the figure shot upward, climbing higher and higher until he broke through the clouds, ascending to the very edge of the sky. Only there did he finally escape the aftermath of the Particle Moonlight, a storm of infinite slices continued to tear apart everything below, killing millions and reducing countless buildings to nothing.

When the devastation settled, only two people stood unharmed amidst the annihilation: Kyle and his sister. Not a single scratch marred her body. His technique had never been meant to harm her.

Kyle twisted his neck back into place with a sharp crack, smirking.

"Look at him… running from a fight. If killing him once isn't enough, then I'll just kill him an infinite number of times."

The masked girl spoke in a strange tone, her eyes narrowing.

"Isn't it strange how he's still alive? You even sealed his pure soul. That seal can trap a being with a non-existent body and bypass nearly every form of immortality… yet he came back again. He's weird. no, more than weird. He's insanely strong, he is not from this world."

Kyle rolled his shoulders, loosening his arms.

"So that means I don't have to hold back anymore, right? Fine. I'll take this fight head-on."

In a single bound, he launched himself into the sky, closing the distance in seconds.

Below, the masked girl called after him, her voice calm but stern.

"Don't cause too many problems for the organization. Keep your honor."

High above the clouds, the mysterious figure smirked.

"Watch where you're going. Who knows, by coming up here, maybe a stray stone will hit you randomly. Ha!"

Kyle closed in, dagger poised to slice. But before he could strike, a massive metallic door came out of nowhere, slamming into his left side with a deafening clang.

The mysterious figure burst out laughing.

"Told you. you should watch your surroundings."

On the ground, the masked girl watched, quietly impressed. When Kyle launched himself at the mysterious figure, the sheer force of his jump sent shockwaves rippling through the air. Tiny airborne particles were hurled outward, merging into larger fragments that smashed into a distant factory, tearing it apart in an instant.

From the wreckage, a massive metallic door shot skyward . It spun through the air at incredible speed, then slammed directly into Kyle mid-flight, the impact ringing like a bell across the sky.

Amidst the dust and debris, a massive explosion erupted. Kyle slowly stood up from the impact, bones cracking as they healed, fury blazing in his eyes.

"You bastard," he growled, voice heavy with anger. "I don't care anymore. I'm done following this world's rules."

With a fierce motion, Kyle pierced his own heart, breaking a layered chain that bound him. Dark energy burst forth, swirling around him like a storm.

He raised his hand to the sky and then slammed it down with no enchantment.

Suddenly, the moon began to descend unnaturally toward the earth.

Someone was forcing the moon to crash.

The whole world began to tremble as the moon hurtled closer to Earth's layer priecsing one by one.
