"Yes," Cherry answered without self-interest.
Who is this to always humiliate her in front of other people? And even if Elijah wasn't that person, he still had no right to humiliate her.
"Are you really that angry with me?" Gilbert asked again, still not giving up.
Cherry bit her lower lip and didn't answer. She kept looking somewhere and seemed to not want to pay attention to the man anymore.
Silence reigned between the two again until Gilbert spoke first.
"Okay, I'll let you go," Gilbert said seriously, "This is the last time..." Gilbert added.
He was very grateful to her for saving his grandmother, so he would give her what she wanted. But the moment she provoked him again, he wouldn't let her go.
Gilbert turned around and opened the door, but before he could leave, Cherry stopped him.
