Tristan's POV
Aven looked as if he wasn't disturbed by the mate bond and the fact that we all were mated to the same person, and if I hadn't known him better, I would have believed that.
He was so stiff, his brows were inverted, and I could tell he was trying to mask his worry as usual. Damon, on the other hand, having this flirty and playful personality, just had his lips curved up in a cunning smile.
The next set got on the platform to duel. We were late, so we weren't paired, and besides, no one would dare to duel us, so we just watched.
After a while, I felt a sudden anxiety. I wondered what must have caused that sudden anxiety. When it occurred to me, our mate must be in trouble.
I looked towards Aven and Damon. I think they felt that too.
"Our mate," Aven, who looked unperturbed, was the first to speak up. He must have felt the same.
"We have to follow her scent."
We traced her scent to the female restroom. At first, we didn't want to open it, out of courtesy; besides, it was the female restroom, so it could just be women's matters.
But a dozen worrisome questions crossed my mind. 'What if she has passed out in the restroom?, What if she was being strangled in there?' Trevor was so worried inside me and sort of ready to fight.
Then we had a tiny, disturbed voice say, "Let me go" I was sure it was our mate, and someone must be hurting her. We burst the door open just to see another guy in a female's restroom.
Must be a perv after her scent, so we forcefully pulled him out of her. I was about to render different blows on his face before she called out.
"Let him go, he didn't hurt me"
He hasn't hurt her yet, but eventually, he might hurt her. However, looking at him, his face bore an expression that seemed to say we had misunderstood him. Although I couldn't see any misunderstanding, he was a male in a female's restroom, pressing not just any other girl to the wall, but my mate.
But I recognized him; he was Alpha Zade of the Silvernight park. He wasn't known to be this way, so what must have transpired between them?
"How are you doing, mate?" I was out of breath, so the words came out like a whisper. Her expression was passive, but she seemed like she was trying to escape me. She looked amusing right now.
"We came to save a damsel in distress", Damon uttered in his usual flirty and sarcastic tone. It sort of triggered Trevor, because he let out a low growl, but I have to keep my composure and act like I didn't feel a pang of jealousy.
Aven, on the other hand, looked like he was about to kill both me and Damon. His eyes were like he was shooting daggers at us.
"She can't be my mate, and be y'all's too," Alpha Zade voiced out. He had already gotten up from the floor, but I felt like sending him back.
Does it mean I have to contend with three people for my mate? I could tolerate Aven and Damon, but Zade too. I just don't know what went wrong with the moon goddess.
The bell rang and we sauntered out of the restroom. Aria seemed like she was in a hurry to leave. At the door, Tracy's trio was there, taking pictures. I wondered why they always took pictures of us, but anyway, that's the price we pay for being successors.
Our next class was at the lab. I hated chemicals and anything related to that. Miss Linda assigned us into groups of four, and as fate would have it, Aria was in my team.
I could tell that she loved this subject by the way she handled the experiment and Alexa. Alexa also loved chemistry, but sometimes she was careless with results. I could tell because this wasn't my first time in her practical book.
I had a moment of pride. My mate was brilliant and she also knew how to kick ass.
Miss Linda, who was checking the results because her class time was almost up, walked towards our table and commended our work.
The bell for lunch rang, and she wrapped up her lesson.
I walked out of the laboratory first, and soon Aven and Tristan joined me. "Where are you headed this time?' Damon asked me knowingly like he was expecting me to say something, but I'm going to disappoint him.
"We are headed for lunch in our reserved cafeteria" Aven nodded in affirmation. Aven isn't one to talk; he was always stuck up, and he never liked the general cafeteria unless we were out to play our pranks on someone. I wouldn't call it bullying.
"Ok, and maybe after we have eaten, we might go see our mate."
My phone suddenly lit up with notifications. Aven and Damon's own lit up too. What I saw irritated me greatly.
Tracy and her Trio dared to frame my mate; only I have the right to joke with her, and not Tracy or her little mini trio.
I could tell that Damon and Aven were just as annoyed.
We moved with rapid speed to the cafeteria and then the locker room and to the restrooms, where we could easily find the trio, but they weren't there.
We had one last option; they might not have left the classroom. We walked back to the laboratory.
A crowd already gathered there, jeering and sneering. I was so upset, and I could have punched someone in the face, but why was I this upset? I didn't want to bond with her earlier on
We managed to clear the crowd, and there they were gathered around her like hawks, but Aria wasn't one to back down, and it looked like they were about to fight.
"Get my picture out of the social media now or else…" Aria snapped at Tracy, with a firm tone.
"Or else what?" Tracy fired back at her. We were close to them by now.
"Or else you have us to contend with", Aven interfered in their little word fight. Tracy tried to make an explanation, and I strictly warned her not to.
She had crossed the line this time, posting a picture of my mate with such a caption and hashtags.
They reluctantly removed the post.
I was already famished after this whole scene. We left the scene for the cafeteria.
Aven, Damon and I just ordered take outs, so we can make it on time to the general cafeteria.
