Lunch at the cafeteria, Esther paid for her lunch and walked to the corner of the room, trying to avoid attention.
As she settled into the seat, she started dinning enjoying her wonton soup. Earlier that morning,she had received a phone from her manger at the Shalom Technology Company who had said she had to visit Diamond city to sign an official contract with the other party Rose Cookie Inc.
Esther who suggested sending her trusted employee Gerald Li was objected, the manger persisted it was her presence that was wanted.
She was left stuck at the situation, she didn't know how she was going to resolve this sticky problem. She couldn't just travel with the Stokes' later finding out and especially since Lachlan was back in the country.
While pondering, she hadn't noticed a familiar figure approaching her. It wasn't until food was thrown on her did she raise her head up.
Genesis, a sly grin spreading across her face was the first thing she noticed before realizing she intentionally spilled her lunch tray on her clothing. The food stained Esther's clothes, and her appearance became disheveled.Her dress was see thrown at this point, leaving the male population gawking lustfully at her figure.
Genesis smirked, thinking she had finally gotten the upper hand.
But Esther's eyes flashed with anger, and she slapped Genesis on the cheek, sending her flying into the wall.
Earlier she was reading a book about martial art when Genesis intervened, her petty action soiling her book of one million and dirtying the powerful contents inside. She was really irritated by Genesis at this point, she hadn't realize the force exerted in her slap.
The cafeteria fell silent, with everyone staring at Esther in shock. They had thoughts of approachimg Esther and later taunting her but the later action dismissed that idea. Even Lilith was shocked and frightened.
But then a brilliant ideas formulated in her brain circuit, she was going to take advantage of the opportunity that was given to her.
"Someone quick get Genesis to the school clinic. Sister Esther, why would you do such a thing? Even though Genesis acted impulsively, now does that mean you had to hurt her so badly. Although Genesis can be uncontrollable at times, she had never physically once hurt you." Her words made everyone recall Genesis past actions, and it was true. Although Genesis was mean, she only played simple tricks on Esther, which was not harmful, and today's action was no different. Now, it seems Esther's action crossed the line
"Yeah, why did you do that? Who do you take yourself to be."
"Although Genesis was mean she never went this far."
"You are so arrogant apologies to Miss Strokes and accepts retribution. "
"Yes, apologise, your behaviour crossed all the boundaries. "
Their words targeted Esther, with aim at forcing her to apologise. But they being so blind didn't realise that the Genesis they thought was hurt was actually faking. Genesis pretended to be hurt so that Esther would face retribution and maybe expelling. All this schemed perfectly. With Lilith's help, she kept on a show just now to make Esther look like the villan and her the victim. This time, her main agenda was to get Esther kicked out from the Stokes family.
Esther's response was cold and detached. "Why should I apologize? My action now was out of self-defense, and I feel guilty towards what? Should I sympathize over someone who deserves it?"
"What are you saying, Sister Esther? Everyone saw how you harmed Sister Genesis, and we have proof that today you can't escape punishment. " Lilith intervened, acting high and mighty. Out of her usual play of being innocent now, she really wanted Esther punished, unlike her previous behaviour of always backing Esther up.
"You did wrong, and as a responsible sister, getting punishment is the right thing to do. Esther surrendered and confessed to the higher-ups so that you would receive less punishment. "
