Chapter 11 - Chapter 11. Apologize

....

William resulted in mocking the company—and calling it meagre. Why because his second aim for coming to the company —was to defame the company to the world. If they dared act ignorant—he would go out there and complain that due to their rise over years–the Quinze Cooperation had looked down on other businesses and had become increasingly arrogant.

Not only would this bring a bad name to the company —but would also increase his company as well. He continued to pester the CEO—saying bad reviews about the company so that Gerald would break at once.

But it seemed the more he pushed Gerald to the corner—the more frustrated he was becoming. Gerald was too tough of a nut to crack into—and most importantly, he was going nowhere with his stakes.

Had he known he would have done a live video—and called the press, but that is okay he knew many cunning methods to crack this CEO. Just when he was about to put any of his ideas into action, he heard an unfamiliar voice that reverberated in his and his subordinate ears. "Apologize to the Quinze Group and I would spare your company."

...

The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on the woman. As the mysterious voice echoed through the meeting hall, every member present tilted their head to the source of the sound, their eyes widening in unison. The air was electric with tension as they took in the owner of the voice, Lilith Lee, the renowned owner of Eastbourne Pavilion and the number one entertainment industry in Oceancity. The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on Lilith as she walked in, her aura commanding attention.

Her presence was like a storm, making everyone feel inferior and undeserving. The members of the Divine Group and Quinze Group bowed instinctively, recognizing her authority and power. Manager Tang bowed deeply, his words catching in his throat as he tried to speak.

"Lilith Lee... Welcome-" His voice trailed off as Lilith's gaze swept over the room, her eyes filled with disdain as she took in William and his subordinate.

Lilith's smirk was like a cold breeze on a winter night as she retorted, "Apologize to my subordinate, and I may spare you, Mr. Zhang." Lilith clicked her lips together, her eyes glinting with amusement. William stared at Lilith, his face twisted in anger.

"And why should I? And who do you think you are? You are just a kid in the entertainment sector and only a nouveau riche." . "Yes, you are just a kid. Do you think we fear you?"

.

"This is not a place for child play. Go back home." The words hung in the air like a challenge, daring William to respond. William's face turned red with rage as he boasted,

"Do you know who William Zhang is? He is the heir to the Zhang family, part of the six biggest families in the country. With a click of the fingers, he can wipe you out." Lilith's smile was like a ray of sunshine, warm and deadly.

"Apologize?! I, William Zhang, would never apologize to people like you. Just because you own this company doesn't mean you are superior." Esther twirled her pen, her eyes glinting with amusement.

"I can make the Divine Emerald Group bankrupt with just a phone call unless you kneel and apologize to every member of the Quinze while barking like a dog."Her voice was like a knife, cutting through William's arrogance. The room erupted into a mixture of fear and panic as Lilith continued, her voice calm and collected.

The room fell silent, with William and his subordinate bursting into laughter. They looked down on Lilith even more, their faces filled with disdain. "Bankrupt? Pfft! You should stop telling white lies, little girl. If you apologize to me and my people, I may just consider your punishment and spare your company."

Lilith's smile never wavered as she picked up her phone and dialed a number.

The room fell silent, with the members of the Divine Group exchanging fearful glances. After the phone call, the members of the Divine Group ferged fear, their voices like a chorus of despair.

"Oh, save us, we would lose our jobs."

"Sorry, Miss. Lee... We are sorry, please don't make us bankrupt."

"We would do anything."

The words tumbled out of their mouths like a prayer, desperate and pleading. As the news of their company's downfall poured in, William's face turned pale with dread.

"Master Zhang, bad news..."

"All the business collaboration we had secured with other companies had been reduced and cancelled."

"Other projects we secured have been confiscated by the government."

The words were like a hammer, striking William's ego and crushing it. He fell to his knees, begging Lilith for mercy. "Spare us... Forgive us, Miss. Lee. Woof-Woof..."

The other members joined, their voices like a cacophony of despair. Lilith's expression remained cold and unyielding, her voice like ice. "It is too late now." The words struck every member harshly, like a slap in the face. They regretted their actions, but now it was really hopeless.

The members looked at William Zhang, who had made them so boastful, but he was struck dumb. His plans had failed woefully, and he had no one to blame but himself. They were forced to leave, aggrieved and humiliated, their dignity tarnished.

As they left, Manager Tang questioned, "What now, boss?" But William Zhang yelled at him, his face twisted in anger.

"If you are not so useless, would all this have happened?" The words hung in the air like a challenge, a bitter reminder of their failure.
