Bang! Bang! Bang!!!
Now that Orin was no longer dodging on purpose, the aftermath of the battle among the three finally erupted within a certain radius. A chilling cold mist and dust surged upward, swirling into the sky.
The once clear sky gradually turned dark and heavy.
He spun and slashed again—massive black waves of sword energy shot out, cutting down every attack in front of him. After neutralizing the assault, Orin looked up at the sky.
The sky was densely overcast, like the harbinger of a violent storm.
"Orin, is this your doing too?" The other two looked up, clearly noticing the sky's change as well. Their expressions turned grim as they questioned him.
"Can you not blame everything on me...? This is definitely way beyond anything I can pull off. Looks like someone important just showed up."
A terrifying red glow erupted in the sky. Orin's face flickered with surprise—though after thinking about it, it made perfect sense.
Right. Captain Roger's execution was imminent—it was about time.
Still, witnessing a historic event like this... wasn't a bad reason to be here at all.
"Looks like your little plan's about to collapse halfway through. Someone big just arrived at Marineford."
With a casual smirk, Orin sheathed his sword and—with zero regard for combat etiquette—teleported straight to the plaza in front of Marineford.
"Who else but you would dare invade Marineford? Hey! Wait—"
Namira tried to chase him, but Kuzan grabbed her shoulder.
She looked at him, confused.
Turning around, she found that Kuzan hadn't moved a single step. Instead, he was staring solemnly into the sky above Marineford.
Following his gaze, Namira looked up—and cold sweat immediately beaded on her forehead. Her pupils trembled violently.
Th-This can't be real...
A meteorite?
No... more like islands?!
Massive boulders, shaped like floating islands, were breaking through the cloud layers and descending straight toward Marineford.
The two of them could no longer afford to care about Orin—frankly, none of the high-ranking officers at Marineford had time to deal with the disturbance in the residential zone.
They were now faced with a crisis capable of sinking the entire Marineford into the sea.
Golden Lion—Shiki has arrived!!!
"Even though I knew it would be absurd... this ability really is cheating."
Sitting atop the Marineford Headquarters building, Orin watched the sky rain down islands like some doomsday scenario. Under the force of gravity, they plummeted straight toward Marineford.
Nearly every high-ranking officer in the Navy—including a few familiar faces—was already airborne using Geppo, desperately trying to mitigate the damage.
Garp, Sengoku, Tsuru, Sakazuki...
There was a huge gap between forces—but not to the point of hopelessness.
After all, just a young Garp already had the strength to destroy an island with a single punch. And that wasn't counting the other Admirals or the monstrous Logia-type users specialized in wide-area destruction.
After unleashing their attacks, they managed to shatter most of the islands—but even so, Orin's rough estimate was that nearly half of Marineford would be destroyed.
Well, excluding the Marine HQ building where he was currently sitting.
As the clouds shifted, rain began to pour down—and a floating figure descended.
"Golden Lion."
Orin sat on the Marine HQ rooftop, casually greeting the golden silhouette hovering nearby.
"Hah?"
Hearing the voice, Shiki—who had been charging into Marineford in a rage—paused and looked toward the source.
A figure in a windcoat was seated atop the roof, calmly staring back at him.
"You? I remember you. That little monster brat from Roger's ship!"
Surprised to find someone familiar here, Shiki grinned.
"Hey, brat, are you here for Roger too?"
Uh...
Orin was about to explain that he wasn't here to break Roger out. He knew full well that Captain Roger had turned himself in willingly.
But still, he was here because of Roger—he was planning to sneak into the Navy ranks and pay a visit to Impel Down.
"Well... something like that."
"Gyahahahaha! As expected, people with the Conqueror's Haki are always the same. There's no way Roger would let some trash marines capture him—and he definitely shouldn't die in humiliation in the weak-ass East Blue!"
"Join me, brat! Let's show these Navy bastards the true terror of the Great Pirates!!!"
Orin was just about to respond when he suddenly sensed an incoming threat with his Observation Haki.
"You damn pirates! What do you all think Marineford is, huh?!"
BOOM!!!
A blinding red light exploded. Black and red lightning streaked through the air as a burly figure charged in, fist wrapped in terrifying Conqueror's Haki, aimed directly at Orin.
That kind of power—Orin had sensed it before, many times, from afar.
But this was the first time it was coming right at him.
And right now, Captain Roger wasn't here to block it.
The rooftop exploded under the force of the blow, the shockwave sending tremors through the sky and stirring up waves of black clouds.
"That's not fair. I'm a youth of the new era, Garp."
Before anyone realized, Orin was already standing beside the Golden Lion.
The Warp-Warp Fruit's continuous teleportation let him move freely in the air, almost as if he were standing on solid ground.
Hands in his pockets, calm as ever.
Looking at the massive man still standing atop Marineford's HQ with black-red lightning crackling around his fist, Orin felt a chill.
A true top-tier powerhouse.
Even with his own Advanced Haki, standing against someone of this level—it still wasn't quite enough.
At the very least—
A head-on punch was not something he could take right now.
"Gyahahahaha! Garp, are you so old that you can't even move anymore? Missing against some brat—why don't you just retire already?!"
Seeing Garp's punch fail, Shiki wasted no time triggering his taunt ability.
Meanwhile, on the ground, several Marines were lifting Den Den Mushi-cameras, capturing the image of Orin and Golden Lion standing side by side in the sky.
Seeing this, Orin felt utterly speechless.
He was just here to join the spectacle—to witness a historic scene—how the hell did it turn into him looking like an accomplice?
This is like mud falling into your pants—
Even if it's not crap, it is crap now...
Looking down—
Admirals, Vice Admirals, Rear Admirals… and countless foot soldiers.
This lineup wasn't much different from the Marineford War—in fact, it might even be stronger.
Back in that war, Garp and Sengoku—two of the top combatants—plus two Admirals, barely lifted a finger. They basically sat it out. Only Akainu and some Vice Admirals did any real work.
But now? Sengoku, Garp, and many top Navy commanders were going all out—including the Navy's future three Admirals.
Honestly, Orin was tempted to just teleport out of there.
But looking at this unprecedented, grand spectacle...
He had to admit—even if he was overestimating himself...
His hands were itching!!!
Think fast, act fast—if things go wrong, just retreat.
He'd trained for so long—he really did want to test his limits.
And besides, with Golden Lion holding off Garp and Sengoku...
He might as well give it his all!
