"You moron! You're going on dates while I'm suffering with this pile of code?! Peter! You're a terrible friend!!!" Harry grabbed my collar, crying in a fit of anger.
"…Well, sorry, but hey, wanna build a Gundam with me?"
"Sure, why not?"
Both of us laughed hehehe while looking at the Barbatos box, even taking pictures.
"Peter!"
"What, Gwen?"
"Look at this, look at this!"
Both Harry and I turned to look, realizing Gwen had put on Alice's outfit.
"Whoa, looks great!" Harry said, surprised and complimentary.
"Thanks!"
"Pretty cute," it was my turn to compliment.
"Eheheheh~" Gwen happily walked over and hugged me from behind.
"Alright, can you let go now?"
"Nope~"
Seeing the two of us being so lovey-dovey, Harry started seriously thinking about getting a girlfriend.
"By the way, what have you managed to do?" I leaned in to check.
"Hehe, check this out!" Harry smirked, showing me.
Harry moved the camera to a coin and picked it up (this camera is from a first-person perspective, so you can think of it as the character you're controlling).
"How's that? Pretty cool, right?"
"…Did you finish this when we got back, or did you finish it while we were out having fun?"
"Well… I finished it right when you got back."
…
"I think… programming isn't your thing."
"Huh?! Why not?"
"Show me the code."
Right after that, I saw a horrendously long piece of code… just to pick up an item.
"Wow, what a mess!" Gwen looked at it.
"You're even worse than I was when I started!" I scratched my head.
"I've never programmed before! I'm always playing basketball or sports, so how would I know, duh!"
"Fair point."
So I sat down in the chair, resigned to fixing everything myself.
Of course, I also had to watch some tutorial videos for a few things to understand how to do it.
"Maybe I should get a Strike Freedom," Harry said, looking at my Gundam Barbatos box.
"Don't open it. I'm planning to build it after finishing this game."
"Cool."
And… yeah… the sun had already set.
"I'll be sleeping over at Harry's, yes, okay, be careful with strangers, Aunt May, yes, I understand."
I hung up the phone and looked at Harry, who was dozing off.
"It's dark already. Are you really sleeping in this room?"
"Hmm… Are you guys sleeping here too?"
I turned to look at Gwen, who was already asleep under a blanket.
"Yeah."
"Well, then I'm sleeping here too. What's the big deal?"
"Bro…"
"Bro…"
Just as we were getting closer, a brick was thrown, nearly hitting Harry.
We both turned to look at Gwen, who was drooling in her sleep, muttering something.
"Ughh… Die, Harry Osgay…"
"…"
Maybe we should just go to sleep.
***
As the sun rose in the morning, I opened my eyes and sat up.
"…"
For some reason, Gwen had crawled inside my shirt, her drool still sticking to my chest.
Meanwhile, Harry was snoring loudly, hugging my leg so tightly I couldn't move.
These two are so different, yet they have something in common.
"Sigh."
Luckily, after the incident with Alternate, the school gave us three or four days off to investigate what was going on.
So you could say, I was pretty free right now.
[Having fun?]
Oh, and the outer god is back.
"Pretty fun."
[Oh, so fun that you completely forgot about me, going on dates with Gwen while I kept talking to you and you didn't even bother to reply? You're the worst!]
Yup, Nya was talking non-stop during the entire date, but I was too focused on Gwen, so now Nya's mad at me.
"…Sorry?"
[If you want to apologize, you better cause some chaos, you girl-obsessed jerk!]
So I had to wake both of them up. Gwen rubbed her eyes, and Harry yawned.
"Oh wow, six-pack," Gwen said, staring at my abs, only for me to pull her out of my shirt.
After that, the three of us brushed our teeth and got back to work.
"Do you know how to make music?" I asked Harry.
"No… but I can try?"
"Great, then handle the sound effects too."
"Huh?!"
"And Gwen."
"Hm?" Gwen was eating a snack, looking at me.
"…Come here."
"Heh? What's up? Don't tell me it's a confession?!"
"No."
Then Gwen leaned in, and I whispered so Harry wouldn't hear.
"Aren't you supposed to be a hero? What if some criminal shows up?"
"Oh, that? Nah, I'm too lazy. I just wanna hang out with you!"
"Even if people are suffering?"
"Look, if the people are suffering, that's their problem. But if you're suffering, I'd punch even a big purple-skinned guy!"
"…"
Alright, we'll deal with that later. After all, I'm already part of the hero team.
Another day passed…
"Aghhh!! What's this?!" I scratched my head, looking at the game that wasn't running smoothly and had a few issues popping up.
"Well… just keep fixing it," Harry said, patting my shoulder.
"Keep it up, Peter boi!" Gwen, now wearing Morrigan's outfit, cheered me on.
…So exhausting!
Another day passed…
And another…
Day four.
"…"
The three of us looked at the product after four days of grinding.
"Welcome to Baldi's Basic Education and Learning, that's meee!"
That was Harry's voice acting.
Oh yeah, Harry voiced all the characters.
I nervously pressed the start button.
What followed was 30 minutes of testing the game…
"No bugs or anything… the game runs perfectly smooth!"
The three of us looked at each other, then excitedly hugged.
"We did it!!!"
"Peter! Hug me tighter!!!"
"That's my boi Peter!!"
Then all three of us collapsed.
Damn it… those four days of mental and physical exhaustion, especially with all that code and bugs!
I hope this game makes enough money to make up for our four days of suffering.
But where do we publish the game?
Well, let's ask Tony.
"What's up, kid?" Tony's voice came through the phone.
"We finished it."
"Oh, awesome! Let me try it first."
"Sure."
So I sent the game to Tony.
A while later, he called back.
"Groundbreaking graphics."
"?"
"Haha, just kidding. It's solid. The game's longer and more challenging. Looks like an educational game at first, but turns out it's a well-made horror game."
"Oh, thanks!"
"So you want to publish it, right? Go to Google and search for Steam."
"Steam?"
"Yup, it's a platform for publishing games, backed by a studio I recently invested in. It's keeping indie developers and gamers pretty happy."
"Oh, thanks, Mr. Stark!"
Then I hung up, went to the computer, and searched for Steam.
"Is this it?"
"What's that?" Harry asked, confused.
"It's a game publishing platform backed by Mr. Stark."
"What?! That Stark?!"
"Yup!"
We then created an account.
But the problem was, what would our name be?
"Spider Verse!" Gwen suggested.
"No."
"Tomboy lover!" Harry said.
"No."
"PeterXGwen!"
"No."
"Fantastic 3!"
"Absolutely not!"
What kind of names are these??
"So… what do you want to call it?" Harry asked.
"Morrigan."
"…You're kidding, right?"
"Just joking. PP!"
"That's even worse!"
What? I thought my name was creative?
"Outer Park!" Gwen said.
Hearing that, Harry and I looked at each other.
"…Whatever, as long as we have a name."
And so, the studio of three students, Outer Park, was born!
