"Aaaaaah!"
Ezra, who heard the scream from Grace's apartment unit, immediately ran out, banging on the door loudly while calling Grace's name repeatedly.
Not only Ezra, but the neighbors also came out in droves, curious about the scream, then gathered in front of Grace's apartment door with various questions filling the air.
"Grace! Can you hear me?!" Ezra shouted.
There was no answer—only silence.
Just as Ezra was about to break down the door, it suddenly opened. Grace appeared, her face pale with fear, then reflexively hid behind Ezra, ignoring the crowd that was growing noisier in the hallway.
"What's wrong?" Ezra looked down at her.
"There are... lots of rose petals... covered in blood," whispered Grace, her voice trembling.
