Hey, y'all. I'm Bwin, or bxnwin, or whatever you wanna call me.
First off, I wanna thank y'all for expressing interest in my novel. With the release of "Chapter 39: Rest Without Worry," Episode/Season 1 has come to an end. And honestly, what a huge achievement it is for me.
Announcement: So now that we're moving into Episode 2, I wanna get this outta the way. If you've been keeping up with Echoes of the Fallen consistently, you'll notice that I started off releasing one chapter a day, then one chapter every two days, then one chapter every three days. The reason is that I wrote about 25 chapters before officially publishing, so I had a decent backlog to release. However, I'm just about running out. With that being said, I'm transitioning to a steady schedule from here on out. The way I have it planned right now is that a chapter will be released every Wednesday and Saturday at 23:00 (Webnovel time). This will probably change depending on whether I write more or if life starts smacking me.
I'll going around Episode 1 and making small edits wherever I see fit until September 30th.
The cover art commission is still in progress. Hoping to get that out by the beginning of September.
Anyway, that's all for the announcements. Again, thank you so much for reading my work, and I'll see y'all in Episode 2.
The Yappinese Segment:
As you can probably tell, this is where I yap. If you don't wanna read it, totally understandable. I'm just yapping cuz I'm a yapper.
So, I've been writing for the better part of 9 years, and over that time, I've written a lot of pieces that I never got around to publishing. It was always a hobby and nothing more. Nonetheless, it was always exciting.
For the longest time, I've had this fantasy world stuck in my head in which I was the main character, filled with anything and everything I ever wanted. When I'm showering or lying in bed or doing whatever, I'd often go back to that imaginary world and just think of the possibilities. For me, this story is that world, and I am now bringing it to life through words. Along with that, I'm passing the mantle of "Main Character" to Caelus and friends, but hey — I'm not nearly as cool as any of them anyway.
Through the years, my writing has evolved in a way I could never imagine. Sometimes, I look back at my past works and cringe, but it was a telltale sign that I'd improved.
For example, I always try to be careful not to overuse certain words or repetitions. I also try to stray from linear storytelling in which things keep happening and happening, like an endless cycle of "And then." It's tough, but it's necessary for my writing style. More than anything, I strive to make my storytelling as cohesive as possible without losing the charm of simplicity. One time, a friend told me that my writing was "very easy to imagine animated," which, to this day, has been my goal in everything that I write.
I guess to wrap it up, I'm just really stoked that this story is finally happening for me. That's about it. Cya.
