"Okay, so what are these powers we're supposed to have?" someone from the back finally asked, the impatience in their voice breaking the tension.
"Oh, we don't know that yet," Selene replied calmly, hands folded in front of her chest. "Your powers are currently dormant. They must first be awakened."
"Then what are we waiting for?" Daniel said, stepping forward. "Let's begin. We don't have time to waste."
"Very well," Selene said with a gentle nod. "Please follow me."
She turned, her silver hair gliding behind her like liquid silk, and led the class back through the marble halls — right to the room where they had first arrived.
"Please," she said, gesturing to a raised altar beneath the golden-haired goddess statue, etched with ancient glowing runes. "Lie down, one at a time. The altar will read your soul and awaken your gift."
Before anyone else could react—
"Move!"
The otaku trio shoved past the crowd, practically tripping over each other to reach the platform.
"Now, give me a cheat ability," said Jason, the ringleader, throwing himself dramatically onto the altar. "I've been waiting for this moment my whole life."
Selene gave a serene smile and raised her hand.
The altar flared with brilliant white light, wrapping Jason in divine energy.
"OOOH!!"
"An S-Rank Skill!"
"Amazing!"
"Just as expected of a Hero!"
The knights standing nearby applauded. Even a few mages nodded in approval.
Jason stepped off the altar with a smug grin, adjusting his glasses like he was about to walk into a light novel cover.
Next up were the rest of his trio. All of them got flashy reveals — glowing reds, ethereal blues, even one with crackling black lightning. Nothing as intense as Jason's, but still solid A-Rank blessings.
They were way too happy for guys who had zero social lives ten minutes ago.
Then came the golden boy.
Daniel Blake.
He stepped onto the altar with confidence that practically had a soundtrack behind it. The moment he lay down—
FWOOOSH!
The light that exploded out of him was blinding.
"IT'S SO BRIGHT!"
"MY EYES—"
"HE'S GLOWING LIKE A DAMN SUN!"
People squinted, shielding their eyes.
"It's… It's an SSS-Rank Class!!" one of the royal mages shouted, breathless.
"Unbelievable!"
"A divine class… truly, a hero sent by the gods!"
'This motherfucker… He was already a walking cheat code in our world. Now he's got the ultimate power package too?'
'God really just handed him the whole damn DLC.'
The buzz hadn't even died down before the next wave of chaos hit.
Amy Blunt — the class rep, everyone's favorite busty moral compass — stepped up, cheeks slightly flushed.
The moment the light washed over her—
"Another legendary class!"
"SS-Rank! Unprecedented!"
"By the Goddess, what are the odds?!"
'Of course. Of course she gets SS. Can't let Prince Daniel fight alone, right?'
One after another, names were called.
Alyssa — SS-Rank.
Sylvie — SS-Rank.
Lisa, Sara — A-Rank.
Emily — S-Rank.
Everyone applauded, cheered, cried. It was a goddamn circus of miracles.
'What is this? The Isekai Olympics?'
Then… it was my turn.
Selene looked down at her list and called out with zero enthusiasm,
"Oliver Shaw."
I walked forward, trying not to trip over my own anxiety. A tiny sliver of hope still flickered inside me.
'Please… just give me something decent. A-Rank. Even B. Hell, I'll take B.'
I laid down on the altar.
The light activated.
And it was…
Brown.
Small.
Dull.
The glow barely lit up the space around me — like someone lit a cheap scented candle.
"What… color is that?"
"Is that… mud?"
The light faded.
Selene didn't even pretend to be kind about it.
"It's an F-Rank Class," she said flatly. "The lowest possible tier."
My classmates didn't even try to hold it in.
"GAHAHAHAHA!!"
Jason practically doubled over with laughter.
"F-Rank?! What did he get, 'Dumpster Boy'?!"
"Maybe he's got the power to sweep floors!"
Even some of the knights were snickering.
'Thanks, luck. Really appreciate you showing up today.'
I stepped off the altar, numb.
Selene stepped forward, clapping her hands lightly.
"So, now that everyone's power has been awakened, let's proceed to confirm your classes and skills."
"Do we really have to do that? Aren't skills supposed to be private or something?"
The voice came from the back, casual and a little too smug.
Naturally, it was Jason. One of the otakus. Who else would bring that up?
There was a pause. A few students nodded — murmurs of agreement rippled.
Selene seemed briefly caught off guard but smiled again, composed. "You are correct. Normally, such information is confidential. However, in order for us to design individualized training suited to your unique powers, we need to understand what talents you've been granted."
Daniel stepped in with perfect timing. "That makes sense. If this is to help us get stronger, I have no issue with it."
He turned to Selene and gave a little bow. "I'd be honored to share my status with you, Lady Selene."
"Me too!"
"Same here!"
"Of course!"
The usual simps joined in immediately.
Jason sighed dramatically. "…Fine. Whatever."
Selene smiled sweetly, "Thank you, Sir Daniel. Everyone, please bring up your Status. Simply say 'Status Open' in your mind or out loud."
A translucent blue window shimmered into view in front of him, floating like a hologram.

A knight near the front dropped to one knee.
"A blessing from the Goddess herself…"
Another added, "We are saved. Truly… saved."
Selene gave a gentle nod, her voice laced with admiration.
"As expected of a Hero summoned from a higher realm."
Daniel smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head.
"I'm just glad I can be of help."
