"Goblins fight in hordes?" Arthur stared at the system screen in disbelief.
"Why can't you tell me that beforehand?. You are just telling me now"
He didn't know that there were hordes of them. He thought he had killed them off earlier.
Arthur raised his dagger in defense.
As the goblin made a noise
The system can only take me out of here if I complete these tasks.
Arthur looked at the goblins.
"they are just dumb I can do it." he said.
The goblins sneered more until they were silenced.
Then a goblin stepped in front. He unlike the others, wore a rag around his body covering his sensitive part.
"And what do you intend to do with the odds around you?." The head goblin said in a husked voice.
Arthur flinched. "You can talk?"
"What, is this your first time seeing a goblins talk, are you surprised?" the head goblin asked.
Arthur looked at the head goblin. "It's my first time here also."
The goblin let out a creepy laugh. "Well I am Veran, the head goblin, and it is my job to punish any threat to my people" he looked at the dead goblins. "And I think we should settle things here. and since you are outnumbered I would give you an honorary death"
Arthur stepped back and took a defence stance. He had no idea how to fight hordes of goblins; he had only got lucky with the few goblins he took down.
But something is certain.
It either kills or dies.
He never knew if the system could reincarnate him again. So he has to survive this place.

Three goblins rushed forward and with the signal from Veran.
Arthur gripped his dagger tightly, as they surrounded him.
The goblin pounced on him.
He sidestepped and stabbed the first goblin, the second one went for his leg but Arthur somehow knew what he wanted to do, he kicked the goblin.
The third goblin shoots a light of Blue magic at him.
A Goblin that was nowhere to be seen until the last minute jumped out of nowhere, as Arthur tried to dodge the magic, and held his leg. Making it hard to dodge.
The blue light hit Arthur, but instead of flying away like the last time. He stood his ground, and the magic impact only stung him.
What?
What just happened.?. He asked himself.
Is this the system work?

He looked at the screen.
He had leveled up his stats. His strength had gone up a little and so was his mana, endurance.
That explains his agility.
Then in that case…
He grabbed the goblin holding his leg and punched him, smashing his head into the ground.
"I am going to bring every one of you down." He yelled and charged at the remaining goblins.
Veran raised his eyebrows. "Is he sick, can't he see he is outnumbered"
But Arthur didn't care, as he clashed into the goblin. Swinging his dagger and stabbing them, dodging their attacks as they retaliate.
He dodged a shot of magic and countered it with his dagger.
He was faster, and more swift.
He slashed, killed and wounded the goblins.

The system notified. But he still charged.
The remaining goblins sneered in fear but before they could make a run. Arthur caught them and killed them.
Except a kid goblin that hid behind rocks in fear.
Arthur tried to kill the kid, but he stopped.
He shouldn't, he is still a baby.
He walked up to Veran. "I guess you are the only one remaining" Arthur raised his eyebrows.
"I know that is not an ordinary attack," Veran said. He snapped his finger and a sword shimmered into his hand. "But no matter what power or secret you hold. I do not care"
He slashed into the air, a red light burst out of the sword, Arthur jumped away as the magic hit the rock behind Arthur and split it.
"I am not like the other goblins" Veran smirked dangerously.
He rushed at Arthur at a speed more equal to normal humans and Arthur's, he was in Arthur's front in no time.
He countered with his sword, Arthur dodged and countered at his leg.
Veran jumped back, Arthur closed in and went for his head, his dagger only cutting a strand of hair as Veran squatted and kicked Arthur.
Arthur fell on one knee. Veran brought down his sword but Arthur managed to dodge it.
He jumped back.
"I am impressed Arthur, your speed is faster than a minute ago" Veran clicked his teeth.
Arthur panted. His knee wanted to give out. His breath became shorter, he was fatigued.
He couldn't believe this was how far his stats could take him.
Veran smiled. "But this is my win"
He vanished in a speed and appeared behind Arthur.
No, Arthur closed his eyes..
I am not here to lose, I am not here to just get killed after coming this far, after all what had happened.
He can't just give up…
He mustered all his strength and stood up, before Veran could comprehend what was happening.
Arthur was behind him in a minute with his dagger to his neck.
"This is my win Veran, I have lost enough in life. I am not losing this"
With a slash, he slayed Veran.

Arthur looked at the screen, a tear trickling down his face.
If he had this earlier, before he was reincarnated. All of this would have been different.

He had to become stronger.

He bent up and picked it up.

The blade gleamed in Arthur's grip. Its blade is becoming sharper. It stirred in his arm.
But it still hasn't brought a quest completed.
Arthur thought.
A small sound trickled behind him. Arthur turned and held his dagger quickly in defence.
But it was only the kid goblin he had spared a little while ago.
The goblin looked at Arthur holding a cub, but hesitated to attack.

"What?" Arthur glared at the screen.

"But I can't kill a kid," Arthur argued. "It just a kid"

After a few minutes, the smell of smoke, jolted him back to consciousness.
He opened his eyes, the noise deafened him, almost making his ear bleed.
The rays of the sun heated him.
"Out of the way boy" a harsh voice growled at Arthur as he crawled out of the way.
For some reason his leg was back to being crippled.
But he wasn't back in the hospital room.
Instead he was back in the middle of a street with loud chatter and people walking around him.
Some even rode their horses, almost trampling on hi
m. The smoke coming from an old blacksmith shop.
Just what the hell happened.
