Chapter 87 - [CHAPTER 87] Kakashi's Not-so-casual Training For Kirin!

They found nothing in the Naka Shrine's main chamber. This made Kakashi believe he might have to pay a special visit to Danzō sometime to find the scroll for Izanagi. He didn't wish to have any opportunity where he has to use Izanagi, but safety was important. It didn't matter if he had to sacrifice one Sharingan for his own life's safety. Life was more important than one eye, even if it was a Mangekyō Sharingan.

After walking out of the Naka Shrine, Kakashi stopped, turned to Sasuke and Naruto, and said, "We will resume our training the day after tomorrow. I've already given Naruto a Fūinjutsu scroll to learn by himself. Similarly, I'll give you, Sasuke, several Genjutsu scrolls to learn. This time, you both have to train in your respective ninja arts by yourself from the scrolls."

Naruto made a face upon hearing him. He had already shown his dissatisfaction with learning just symbols and other such things, but he didn't have a choice in the matter. Meanwhile, Sasuke looked at Kakashi as if he wanted to say something.

Kakashi noticed his gaze. "Do you have something to say?"

Sasuke nodded. "I actually liked your swordsmanship skills against that enemy in Takigakure. Would it be okay if you replaced my Genjutsu training with Kenjutsu?"

Kakashi was slightly surprised. He then thought, 'Yeah, the Chidori and Kenjutsu also go hand in hand, and Sasuke was good at that in the anime. I already thought of teaching Kenjutsu later, anyway, but Genjutsu would also be good with the Sharingan.'

He then said, "Sasuke, it's your choice. If you want to learn Kenjutsu rather than Genjutsu, that's fine, but I believe that Genjutsu is better with the Sharingan."

Sasuke replied, "I see, but I find Kenjutsu better, and I can also learn my clan's Genjutsu on my own anyway. They're good too and sufficient for now."

Kakashi nodded. "If that's what you want, then rather than Genjutsu, I will give you the Kenjutsu scrolls of my Hatake Clan, the 'Hatake-Style Swordsmanship,' but you have to learn it yourself from the scrolls."

Sasuke bowed respectfully. "Thank you, Kakashi-sensei."

Kakashi nodded, and with that, he and Naruto walked out of the Uchiha Clan Compound.

While walking leisurely, Naruto asked, "Say, Kakashi-sensei, can I also choose something besides this symbol learning?"

Kakashi flatly refused. "Nope. You have to learn to identify and apply all the symbols; these basics are important. Once that's done, you'll have the opportunity to learn many cool Sealing Techniques."

Naruto pouted. "Haa... Sealing Techniques... are they really cool? From what I understand, besides containing a Tailed-Beast, are they useful for anything else?"

Kakashi chuckled. "They indeed are." He held his left palm forward, and several kunai and other weapons emerged on the ground ahead of them, before he immediately put them back in his Inventory Seal.

Naruto exclaimed, "Wow! That was cool! Did all those kunai come from your hand?" He grabbed Kakashi's left hand, checking where he had summoned and sucked the weapons back in.

Kakashi chuckled. "Don't try so hard. That's also a Sealing Technique, an upgraded version of a normal Storage Seal."

Then the Black markings began to form on his left palm as he showed them to Naruto. "So, are you interested in learning Fūinjutsu now?"

Naruto jumped with excitement. "Oh, yeah, Kakashi-sensei!" then again asked, "But... do I really have to learn all those Kanji symbols first? Can't I just with..."

Kakashi didn't let him finish, just shook his head slightly with a smile in denial. Naruto pouted again, but his face held a look of interest and determination to learn Fūinjutsu now, which he hadn't had before.

Few days later.

Naruto and Sasuke were training in their respective ninja arts in the training ground three, that Kakashi had assigned them. Kakashi had already given Sasuke the scroll for his clan's Kenjutsu style.

Even though Kakashi knew that Genjutsu was also a better fit for Sasuke, as an Uchiha with Sharingan, he still let him practice Kenjutsu, which, from his anime knowledge, he knew also aligned well with Sasuke's fighting style.

Sasuke had also picked out a random but good sword, a Tantō, from his clan compound, which he had found after a search the next day, Kakashi and Naruto had helped him find the other Uchiha Clan technique scrolls.

Whoosh!

Slash!

Following the steps and process of the Hatake-Clan's Kenjutsu, he was practicing and slashing his Tantō in empty air in certain patterns and style.

As for Naruto, it couldn't be said that he was training at all. He sat on a tatami mat, under a tree further from Sasuke, grabbing his blonde hair in frustration, as the Kanji symbols were too hard for him to memorize.

"He definitely has a talent for Fūinjutsu, but reading and memorizing this stuff... that's difficult for him," Kakashi chuckled as he sat under the shade of a tree, observing his students. He then summoned his system panel.

[Host: Kakashi Hatake]

[Chakra Pool: 1,687,366/1,698,500]

[Chakra Control: 92/100]

[Chakra Level: Peak-Kage]

[Chakra Affinity: All]

[Chakra Growth: +50,000 per day]

"What is the next level of chakra, or is this Peak-Kage a dead end?" he questioned, already has thought about it for some time, considering that system already mentioned ''Ten-Tails'' reserves, so it wouldn't be believable for him to concluded that ''Peak-Kage'' is a dead-end.

He contemplate but didn't come to any conclusion for now, the difference from Kage to Peak-Kage was already surpassed from the point he reached Peak-Kage. He didn't dwell on this for now, and instead thought about other matters.

"What should I train myself in now, or should I just rest until the Chūnin Exams start?" Kakashi mused. Training in the variants of the Chidori didn't take a single day, and with several Shadow Clones, he was able to create them easily, considering Lightning was his main affinity.

He now had the basic Chidori, his own S-rank variant, Raikiri, and a few other variants Sasuke had in the anime, first one is the Chidori Nagashi, which allowed him to flow the Chidori's chakra throughout his entire body rather than in a single point, creating a defensive shock field.

Chidori Nagashi, also known as Chidori Current, sacrificed the destructive power of a direct hit of Chidori but could disable multiple opponents at once. Another variant he mastered was Chidori Eiso, or Chidori Sharp Spear, which extended the Chidori into a long, concentrated blade. It was slightly less powerful than a direct Chidori, but its sharpness made it incredibly versatile.

Chidori Senbon was even simpler for him to learn. He also recalled Sasuke's Chidori Katana, a variant that Kakashi himself had already mastered even before, which involved channeling Raikiri's Chakra rather Chidori's Chakra into his sword to enhance its piercing and cutting power.

"But these are enough for now," Kakashi mused aloud. "I don't remember any other variants... Although, I do remember Kirin, but that's not a direct Chidori variant. Hmm... I should practice this one now, but I can't have my Shadow Clones practice it inside my Inventory Seal, since it requires natural lightning from the sky."

Kakashi recalled that in the anime, Kirin was Sasuke's the strongest Lightning Release Jutsu, second only to Six Paths Chidori. It was prepared using the heat from the Chidori to create a thundercloud, which then drew natural lightning directly from the sky. It was a one-time use technique, as it consumed the entire lightning bolt.

To use it again, the user would need to create new thunderclouds, using immense Fire Release Jutsu, to heated up atmosphere.

"Well, let's train in Kirin then," Kakashi concluded, making the decision to begin training in the powerful Jutsu.

He created a Shadow Clone to observe Naruto and Sasuke's training, especially Naruto, to make sure he didn't slack off. Kakashi himself flickered away to the Forest of Death.

Swish!

He reached his destination with blinding speed and scanned the entire area to ensure he had an empty, wide-open space to himself, free from any animals or creatures.

"Phew..." He sighed in relief, satisfied that no one was around the area he had chosen.

Kakashi looked up at the clear blue sky. This particular area of the Forest of Death was without the obstruction of a thick canopy of trees, offering a clear view.

"Training for Kirin won't be hidden from everyone's eyes," he thought, "But it wouldn't be much eye-catching, and this is a technique I'm willing to bother myself with, rather than just my Shadow Clones. Huu, alright!"

Kakashi formed a hand seal and created ten Shadow Clones around him. They flickered and stood atop the trees around, forming hand signs as they looked upward.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!"

All of his Shadow Clones shot a large, jointly sustained blast of heat upward. None of them held back, as Kakashi had more than enough chakra. The immense flames from his clones currently might even match and surpass the destructive power of Madara's Great Fire Annihilation Jutsu.

A massive column of superheated air rose rapidly. On the ground, Kakashi nodded in satisfaction, as this was the only method he recalled for creating thunderclouds from a clear, blue sky.

The rising column of hot air and the immense balloon-shaped flames in the sky created a powerful updraft and convection current, which did not go unnoticed by many Anbu and ninjas outside the forest.

Even Hiruzen from his office noticed and sensed the cool morning air being suddenly drawn upward by the heated flames. He swiftly flickered out of his window and stood atop the Hokage Building. Several Anbu appeared behind him and knelt as they all scanned Konoha and saw the humongous flames coming from the Forest of Death, with wide eyes.

"Is it an enemy attack?" Hiruzen muttered, then ordered his Anbu, "Find out who is behind these immense flames."

Without a word, the Anbu flickered toward the Forest of Death.

"Asuma-sensei, w-where did this huge fire suddenly erupt?" Ino asked, stammering, as the flames were rising far high in sky, her expressions terrified.

"I don't know," Asuma said, his expression serious. "Maybe it's an enemy attack."

Shikamaru, who was lying on the grass in the training ground, immediately got up when he sensed the change in temperature. His usual sleepy, dead-fish eyes opened, though not completely wide, before he looked at Asuma.

"Is it really an enemy attack?" he asked.

Asuma shook his head. "I'm not sure, but you should all go to the next training ground and stay with Kurenai and her students. I'll go and check." Despite his serious words, Asuma casually lit a cigarette before moving toward the Forest of Death.

Meanwhile, Choji, still eating his snacks, said, "But it shouldn't be too much of a problem, right?"

Shikamaru replied, putting his hands in his pockets, "Yeah, but we should go to Kurenai-sensei for now."

He and Choji started to walk, but then they noticed Ino's terrified look. "Hey, Ino, what happened? Don't worry, Konoha is strong to take down whoever is behind this."

Ino yelled, "My makeup! Aah, my makeup is useless in this heat! What will happen to my beautiful face?"

Shikamaru gave her a deadpan look, understanding why she was so terrified. He muttered, "Women!"

Meanwhile, Kakashi looked up at the immense flames. "They're way too high," he said. "It should definitely match the destructive power of Madara's Great Fire Annihilation Jutsu. But is this much really needed to create thunderclouds?"

He casually shrugged, but didn't stop his Shadow Clones, unaware that others in Konoha were stressing out, considering it an enemy attack.

"Having a huge amount of chakra is really worthwhile!" Kakashi smiled, nodding in satisfaction.
