Back in the day, Uchiha Indra, the ancestor of the clan, only awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan after killing two of his closest friends in rage.
Sasuke and Itachi's future selves would also be forced to kill their dearest ones through tears to awaken theirs.
Obito, that little brat, awakened his own after watching his beloved A literally tear the heart out of his beloved B. His heart broke so hard, he got a Mangekyō.
As for Itachi, let's not even mention him. His dear curly-haired brother Shisui dove into a river right in front of him. Overwhelmed by grief, he awakened the Mangekyō.
And Madara? Well, with Indra's chakra flowing in him, even a pig could awaken a Mangekyō.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is the proper way to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan.
"So, can anyone explain to me what the hell this was?"
Uchiha Gin sat alone at the edge of the hot spring, striking the pose of a thoughtful philosopher.
His sculpted figure was completely exposed to the air. A gust of wind lifted the towel tied around his waist, giving him a chill where it mattered and interrupting his deep thoughts.
Just moments ago, Gin had been surrounded by a group of devilish women with monstrous proportions—so-called "Bo-Gang" types. Just when his long-protected innocence was on the verge of being taken, an explosion of fear caused a string in his brain to snap.
His brain's self-protection mechanism kicked in, and he instinctively activated his Sharingan and cast a basic Genjutsu: Sharingan.
The effect was immediate. The Bo-Gangs, the moment they made eye contact, screamed like they had seen their worst nightmares and bolted, leaving Gin behind.
He could only pray that no innocents outside had been blinded by those naked monsters.
"Where the hell are my three tomoe? Left eye, right eye—that's six total. Where did they go?"
The surface of the spring, still and mirror-like, reflected Gin's confused face. He pulled his crimson eyes wide open. Aside from confusion, there was nothing inside.
His tomoe were gone.
Yet, oddly enough, his dōjutsu power had massively increased.
"Wait a sec..."
Then he remembered. That tomoe-less Sharingan had appeared before—in a forgotten memory from that little TV he used to watch.
"Holy shit, did I just awaken the Mangekyō?"
That was way too random!
Gin had always imagined that his awakening would come after slashing down his dear uncle Tajima.
Shaking his head to refocus, Gin decided to test whether the missing tomoe were just a visual bug.
He deactivated and reactivated his Sharingan several times. Sure enough, the tomoe were back.
"As I thought!"
He focused his chakra into his Sharingan. A cold, ominous aura began to rise, and he could feel his eyes transforming—an entirely new power was stirring inside.
"Mangekyō Sharingan—Awaken!"
With that thought, the tomoe in both eyes began to spin rapidly, merging into the center point. What emerged... was the most plain Mangekyō design in history.
Finally! I've waited for you so long~
Gin's eyes filled with tears—not for anyone else, but for himself.
He had once been subjected to Itachi's Tsukuyomi for 72 hours straight. He didn't dare even recall that trauma.
But that skill... it had cost him his dignity, and now, it was finally going to be useful.
With trembling hands, he reached into his system inventory and pulled out the long-forgotten Tsukuyomi skill card, its surface thick with dust.
He gently blew off the debris, letting the long-buried skill see the light once more.
"Learn it!"
With a passionate cry, he raised the card high.
Genjutsu: Tsukuyomi – Skill successfully learned.
The system's cold voice rang out, but it warmed Gin's heart like a fire.
"Eh?"
The card dissolved into a stream of light and merged into his eyes. Surprised, Gin watched in the spring's reflection as his plain Mangekyō changed.
His eye pattern transformed into a familiar shuriken shape, slowly rotating with a chilling, deadly gleam.
"It actually materialized the Mangekyō I loaded."
Gin could now feel it clearly—he had obtained Itachi's Mangekyō. Right eye: Amaterasu, Left eye: Tsukuyomi.
He tried switching patterns. The shuriken design faded and reverted to his original plain Mangekyō.
Apparently, his Mangekyō was a blank slate, capable of loading different Mangekyō abilities.
Too bad he only had Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi from Itachi. He wondered if he could switch patterns to change abilities...
"Eh???"
Just as he pondered where to get more Mangekyō skills, his right eye suddenly twitched. A strange, new sensation emerged.
Power surged in his right eye. He felt a sharp jolt—Amaterasu had been kicked out!
In its place, a new pattern emerged.
Amaterasu: am I a joke to you?
As Gin gazed into the reflection, he saw a familiar triangular pattern. His chest tightened with emotion.
It was the Mangekyō left behind by Uchiha Yao—Wangliang, his final legacy.
Though Zetsu had hijacked that Mangekyō, its true power was far from weak.
Gin infused it with chakra. The eye responded with joy. A smirk curled at the edge of his lips.
"Old man... I'll make your dōjutsu shine across the ninja world."
As he explored it more deeply, Wangliang's abilities began to surface:
Stage One: Materializes a shadow-based clone with limited self-awareness. Silent, robotic.
Stage Two: Fusion with the user, enhancing all physical stats and becoming a full battle form.
This... was the transformation power Gin had always dreamed of!
Hehe, next time... they'll see my transformation form!
Wangliang was essentially a space-type Mangekyō, with spatial energy reinforcing each phase.
Way better than Amaterasu.
Amaterasu: still kicking me while I'm down?
"Gin!!"
"Gin-san!"
While Gin was lost in fantasy, two girls in thin yukatas rushed toward him, drawn by the commotion—hoping to sneak a peek at something good.
"Ko, Chiri, you…"
Hearing their voices, Gin quickly retracted his Mangekyō, his eyes returning to normal black.
But as he turned to face them, he froze—and his nose began to bleed.
Indeed... nothing underneath those yukatas.
My life... is complete.
Gin crossed his arms and lay down peacefully, letting the blood flow.
First to arrive was Hikari. She wore a short cherry-pink yukata that clung wetly to her curvy body, offering just a hint of temptation.
She crouched beside Gin, checking his body—her little hands roamed freely across his bare chest. Her face was still flushed, and she drooled a little.
"Gin! Are you okay? Where's the enemy?"
Enemy? Your eyes are locked on his towel—what, you think he's hiding a ninja in his pants?
"Gin-san!"
A slightly slower Uchiha Chiri arrived. A flash of regret passed through her eyes—she was too late; the good spot was taken.
Wearing a light-blue yukata, her long purple hair tied up high, she knelt beside Gin.
She gently lifted his curly head and laid it on her lap.
"Gin-san, feeling a little better now?"
The warm breath near his ear snapped Gin back to consciousness.
Feeling the warmth beneath his head and the improper groping on his body, Gin gave a little twitch out of respect.
"Huh? Is there really an enemy hidden down there?"
Hikari's expression darkened. This was more than she thought.
"Oi! What the hell are you two doing?"
Fully awake, Gin grabbed the sinful little hand right before it crossed the line.
"Gin-san, we heard a terrible scream earlier."
Chiri stood up, disappointed. She looked at Gin and continued:
"We also sensed a powerful chakra coming from here."
Hikari nonchalantly withdrew her hand, face calm.
"That was…"
Gin scratched his head. After thinking for a moment, he offered a very convenient excuse:
"A pervert was caught peeking at women in the bath."
"Despicable! What kind of people are out there?!"
Hikari puffed up in anger. So it's okay if you peek at men?
"What did the guy look like?"
Chiri asked curiously.
"Uh… white-haired old dude. Red vest. Forehead protector with the kanji for 'oil'. Looked as pervy as they come."
Gin spouted it with such confidence, it couldn't have sounded more real.
Several decades later…
"Achoo!"
A lecherous man holding binoculars sneezed hard. Wiping his nose, he muttered,
"Someone thinking about this great sage? Maybe one of the girls back in Konoha?"
Recalling the beautiful girls of the village, he shed a sorrowful tear.
"Ah~ I miss home... but that bastard is still there. If I go back, it'll be boot camp all over again. Better wander a little longer…"
