The moment Micah stepped out of the elevator, he could feels cold gazes almost peeling off his skin.
"For someone who has elaveted fucking up into an art form, this might as well be your Mona Lisa" said Assistant Commissioner Tavengwa looking at Micah with disdain.
"I'm fine thanks," said Micah and he quickly added "Hmmmm, I didn't know you were a Statham guy, well he is my inspiration and I do what he would do were he in my shoes." He looked at Captain Reyes, " If it isn't my favourite FBI Agent, but seriously you guys were you missing me that much that you couldn't wait in the Conference room"
Reyes said softly, "For the arrogant fool that you are, you sure know how to talk. But I'm not impressed, anyways let's go to the conference room and see if the reports are correct."
————————————————-
"So according to the report, you Micah Brooks just happened to bring those guys over here, let them sit the whole day without even talking to them, then before you let them go, they signed non-disclosure agreements." Micah handsomely nodded at Tavengwa's words. Tavengwa's face flushed with rage but he kept his cool.
"I faced backlash yesterday from the higher ups about why there were arrests amd you have nothing." He looked at Captain Reyes and added, "Is this how all Taskforces work?
Reyes replied, "Yep. No questions asked about why we do what we do. Except in this case, I'm not in agreement with what Micah did."
Tavengwa then sighed. He took out his cigarette and Micah quickly snatched it and said, "What I did, perfectly alligns with international investigations, smoking a cigarette in a room with strangers, now thats lack of morals. Micah threw it on the floor and stepped on it. "Now that's better." He smiled at Tavengwa and asked, "So now where were we."
Reyes replied, "We were at the moment you explain your strategy."
"So the issue was never about me having proof or anything.Bruce or however is his boss obviously knows about me and everyone, and due to my fame for having a cowboy style of solving problems, I figured I would bring a slight fear to him. I brought in members of the crew, and the media made it public. He is their lawyer but he could not find their whereabouts. He wouldn't be rattled of course but the other white collared guys in the top floor offices would think the two months you guys have wasted were actually productive amd are now making arrests. So it was to make his other guys pressure him with questions and what he would do. And with nearly 18 hours of him bot knowing where his guys where, he also began to suspect something to have happened. But of course that wasn't the real reason, of other guys think Bruce's end is near, they'd try to help and that's why I heavily publicised those guys being brought in. It was to call attention to myself and damn it worked." At that moment, Micah removed a letter from his pocket and put it on the desk.
Tavengwa said, "And what would that be."
Reyes said, "With what he said, I'm guessing someone with dirt on Bruce and would probably benefit if Bruce falls, contacted you after your stunt yesterday," she looked at Tavengwa then back at Micah and added, "Good jolly boy, now that's being a cowboy with brains. So you aren't just brawn, there's also brains. Hahaha"
"So I haven't read the letter yet, so Mr Assistant Commissioner would you mind doing the honours to read it allowed."
Tavengwa looked dejected and angry as he said, "At least now I've got an answer for my questions." He opened the letter and the read it aloud after first reading it for himself quietly, "Fourth street park, the bench near the pier tomorrow night 7pm. Come alone."
"Is that all?" asked Reyes as Tavengwa handed her the letter. Then there was maybe a minute as noone dared break the silence first.
"Night time the park has no people except a few teens making out. That means it's hard to plant anyone near as peope tend to keep their distance at night. He chose the place so its safe for him. No buildings near so we can't even plant a sniper." said Micah in a low voice.
Reyes quickly asked, "Does this mean you're not going."
"Of course I'm going, it's just that it seems I'm going in blind. But if they called, they want me alive to do the dirty work."
Tavengwa then said, "Ever thought this might be Bruce trying to draw you out to someplace where he can end you quickly. Like you said, away from buildings and going in blind."
Micah quickly replied, "He would never do that. He know Echo and Echo always come back with double force and double ruthless if anything happens to an agent. If something happens to me, they'd being him in without questioning and torture the answers out of him. Also, had you given me my Taskforce alone, this is what I would have done."
Reyes then asked, "So what's the plan for tonight?"
"Well, without fail, I am going and I'm sure that is undisputed."

"Adrian, I think you are joking. So you are telling me those guys are saying they spent the day chatting just wandering in the taskforce with noone minding them, no questions asked, and yet they readily told you about the non-disclosure agreements." Bruce sat down dejected and added, "Is that what they all said and where they no inconsistencies in their reports."
"All three were arrested separately but they met on the way and were put into one vehicle which then drove to the location of the taskforce. They supposedly arrived and mwt Agent Micah who introduced himself and rold them to make theirselves feel at home as all agents were asked to treat them good. So they spent the day chatting general topics with the guys and come 7pm, Micah comes with the agreements, they sign and leave. That's how it is, they were dropped at the law firm and I took them from there. They slept at the base yesterday after intense sessions of questioning with Musa but noone ever stuttered or changed their story so we assume its true."
Bruce walked over to the window and said, "The only thing then is Micah wanted those guys to pressure me yesterday, all those calls and he'd just each of these guys an off day from work. He wanted me to feel him and what he's capable of."
"Also Boss, we may have another problem according to Lorna."
Bruce sat down and said, "Well you're free to share. I just pray its not a Micah induced problem again."
Micah said, "Well actually it is, she thinks Micah's stunt with the media is the real issue. It was supposedly supposed to draw out anyone who hates you to help him with information. He has recently moved into a flat without security cams and we think he wants to harvest dirt on you from your competition. Anyone who watched the news, would think you're about to fall and would want to help accelerate that. Also Thabo's invitation came just after the arrests so in the meeting, we're assuming the worst."
Bruce then smiled and said, "When I heard this boy called Micah was behind the fall of many foreign cartels, I thought they were jokes, seems he's got the makings of a great cop. Did you know he is a Zimbabwean. Its said his mother dumped him in UK at an orphanage as she couldn't take care of him. Except she left him her ID and after a little research, he's supposedly got no living relativesas it seems his mother was an orphan here also. Noone knows how she got to UK but noone is questioning. He recently applied for his paperwork and when the taskforce's duty is done, he'll be one of us."
Adrian quickly asked, "He'll be one of us?"
Bruce said, "Don't overthink it. His mission is me. He'll be one of us Zimbabweans when his mission is done, when I'm done. I'm sure according to his plans, I'll be in jail then, you guys I don't know but probably we'll be part of one gang in jail. Now leave and tell those interns outside, that the advisor's office is now open."
With that said, Adrian left.
