Chapter 14 - Chapter : 13 The Secret Hidden in the Restricted Area

"Come on, sit anywhere, no need to be so restrained."

Hagrid placed a plate of rock cakes on the table and took the lead by sitting down on a chair. The wooden structure creaked, making Ivan and the others a little worried. Fortunately, the chair was of good quality and continued to stubbornly support the weight it shouldn't have been bearing.

"Hagrid, this is Ron, and this is Hermione," Harry said, pointing to the others as he introduced them to Hagrid. But before Harry could introduce him, Ivan stood up.

"Hello, Hagrid, my name is Ivan, it's a pleasure to meet you!"

"Oh, likewise." Hagrid extended his large hand and shook Ivan's, but the difference in their sizes made the handshake look a little comical.

Fang, the big dog in the room, circled around Ron, sometimes jumping on him and covering him in saliva.

Ron had hidden Scabbers in his pocket the moment Fang pounced. Although he had never heard of dogs eating rats, his experiences in the past few days had made Ron a little paranoid.

It was as if someone was deliberately plotting to harm his rat.

Next, Harry and Ron complained to Hagrid about Snape deliberately targeting them in class. Hermione frowned as she listened, but didn't object.

Ivan didn't join their discussion. Snape certainly disliked Harry and was prejudiced against Gryffindor students, but his teaching was still good. Many of the potion recipes he taught had been improved by Snape himself.

Especially since he unexpectedly gave Ivan an 'Outstanding' grade in the first Potions class, which made Ivan feel a little unable to bring himself to curse him.

Of course, it would be even better if Snape could give more questions during class.

"Gringotts Bank Robbery?" Just as Ivan was bored and wondering how hard Hagrid's rock cakes were, a newspaper next to the teapot caught his attention.

Harry and Ron, who were chatting, also stopped and crowded around the newspaper, seeing that it read: 'Major Robbery at Gringotts on the Night of July 31st. Authorities believe it was carried out by certain dark witches or wizards, but the Gringotts goblins insist that nothing was lost.'

"It happened on July 31st," Harry exclaimed suddenly, as if remembering something. "Hagrid, I remember that day was my birthday, and we were there!"

"Was it?" Hagrid said vaguely, avoiding direct eye contact with Harry and awkwardly changing the subject to the rock cakes, enthusiastically inviting everyone to eat more.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione were all suffering from the rock-hard cakes, almost breaking their teeth, but they didn't want to throw them away, seeing Hagrid's earnest expression.

Ivan secretly soaked his rock cake in tea, trying to soften it a little, and reluctantly managed to eat half of it.

When they were about to leave, Hagrid was still incredibly enthusiastic, taking a basket of rock cakes and stuffing them into everyone's pockets, even though they didn't want them.

The four of them returned to the castle together, and then separated at the staircase. Harry and Ron returned to their dormitory, while Ivan took the opportunity to search the castle for the Room of Requirement.

Because in previous experiments, Ivan had discovered that no matter how much knowledge he had, without practical experience, the growth of proficiency might stop.

The search continued until Tuesday morning of the second week, when Ivan finally found some traces on the eighth floor of the castle.

It was a wide corridor with many portraits hanging on it, with a tapestry of trolls beating Barnabas the Barmy at the end.

Ivan walked to the wall opposite the tapestry, focused his mind on the training ground he needed, and walked back and forth three times. A door appeared out of thin air on the originally smooth wall.

The door fit tightly against the wall, without the slightest gap, as if it had been there all along.

Ivan opened the door with a hint of excitement. After he entered, the door behind him closed automatically. Inside was a huge training ground. The hall was decorated brightly and transparently, with two rows of dummies on the left and right for practicing spells.

[Ding, discovered the mysterious Room of Requirement]

The voice in Ivan's mind was within his expectations, but Ivan hadn't expected that the exploration progress would increase by three percentage points.

You should know that the library that inherited knowledge only increased by five points of progress, which shows how important this place is.

"Diffindo!" After warming up a little, Ivan waved his wand and practiced the spells he had learned.

The white light struck the dummy directly. With a "bang," one of the dummy's arms swelled and burst open. Wood chips flew all over the air, and Ivan restored it with a Reparifarge spell.

In the next half hour, various colorful lights swept back and forth in the practice room.

Transfiguration Spell, Petrification Spell, Accio, Lumos

After nearly half a month of crazy study, Ivan had learned all the basic spells. Although the level was not high, they had all been raised to the first level, so they weren't always hit-or-miss.

However, after trying it out, Ivan quickly discovered that his spell hit rate was a little worrying. Fixed targets were fine, but with moving targets, he might not hit even once after firing several spells.

Ivan also tried exchanging a Genius Experience Card during a practical exercise and found that this learning BUFF was also useful during practical exercises.

The improvement in the brain's comprehension and analysis speed allowed Ivan to be faster and more accurate in releasing spells, greatly improving his hit rate. He could even predict the movement of distant targets and the trajectory of spell light.

This meant that even though he had the same spell level, Ivan's strength was much higher than usual in the state of the Experience Card.

"I've become dumber, and stronger,"

Ivan couldn't help but sigh as he exited the experience mode again. The decline in the brain's comprehension ability after each use always gave Ivan the feeling that he had suddenly become stupid.

After practicing for a morning, Ivan's brain was already dizzy and his magic power was close to being exhausted. Considering the flying class in the afternoon, Ivan rested for a while before leaving the Room of Requirement and found a secret passage on the eighth floor that he had never walked before, intending to return to the Great Hall of Hogwarts all the way.

No sooner had Ivan stepped out of the secret passage than the long-awaited system prompt sounded again.

[Ding, discovered an unknown secret passage, the progress of exploring Hogwarts has reached forty percent.
