Tai moved towards the cliff he knew that as long as this abomination was alive, they would never make it out alive. Even if they were to scale the wall what would stop the creature from causing another collapse of the cave by ramming the cave walls.
Tai sighed and looked down at the abomination that seemed to be following their scent he tightened the grip on his sword and jumped sliding down to meet the injured monster. The beast turned limping as it finally faced Tai the red foam from its mouth drooling out even more.
Tai braced himself and the beast prepared to lunge at him and then in the moment the two clashed. Tai fought with as much skill as he could master striking the points of the monster where it had been damaged by the crystals. He struck out at the beast as his sword met its claws the beast was stronger and faster but it was only a mindless beast while he was a man who could calculate and plan for his next strike.
The beast lashed out with its claws as Tai dodged side stepping most of its attacks he slashed, he thrust as he brought down his sword on his enemy but its scales were impenetrable his blade as it bounced off the beast's scaly body. Tai gritted his teeth and bolted forward towards the enemy he struck out landing a blow to the beast's injured body.
It wailed and lushed out to wards him he sidestepped and blocked the creature's sharp obsidian claws causing sparks to fly out and pushing Tai back he steadied his body and looked up at the beast that carefully examined him "You idiot what are you looking at" the beast growled and then lunged towards him string with its tail Tai dodge and run to meet the beast.
Their battle was gruesome to Tai each time he blocked he was met with a force that threatened to tear his entire body apart and each time he dodged he felt the fear of losing his life creep nearer but he couldn't he was not going to allow it. The creature wailed as Tai dealt another sinister blow to one of its injuries causing the beast to become more violent.
They lashed out in an array of sparks and scales Tai trying his hardest no to be struck cause unlike his opponent he didn't have a protective armor of scales on his body he dodged, blocked and struck making sure to use any opening he was presented and soon one came to him.
A shattering sound resounded behind him distracting the beast for a moment and in that moment, Tai bolted forward sliding under the beast's tail before leaping on its body he ran across it and reached his destination at the beast's chest where the biggest injury to the abomination's armor, he raised his blade and thrust it into the creature's body sinking it as deep as he could.
The next moment was hell for Tai as the abomination let out an ear piecing shriek that caused Tai's entire body to ache, he felt his senses slowly leave him, he could feel the blood flowing down his right ear. He's mind began to slip into unconsciousness but he couldn't, he wasn't he gripped his sword harder and gritted his teeth "You won't get rid of that easy".
Tai held on firmly as the beast tried to shake him off it raced around and violently shook its body but Tai held on as the beast grew more violent, he felt his sword begin to nudge begin to slip from the body of the beast he fought until once again he felt his body become weightless before falling down onto the glowing floor of the cave.
Tai's entire body was in pain he vomited blood as his limbs struggled to lift him from the ground, he opened his eyes and saw the beast casting its murderous gaze upon him preparing to lush at him at any moment. "Seriously" his sword felt heavy in his hand he was going to die here.
"Hey Tai don't think just run" the voice sounded from somewhere behind and without thinking he bolted aiming one of the many openings that lined the walls of the cave his movements were sluggish but that was not going to stop him he had a desire that pushed him through every step it was a desire to live to fight another day he entered the opening before and as soon as he did there was chaos.

Tai's words echoed in Hal's mind he thought about them lingering on every word "What does he know" he bit his lip as the words of the handsome boy now seemed to hunt him.
He wondered who he really was why couldn't he just die and end it all he had no reason to live so why should he but then a memory flew into his ear "If you really don't like what I said the prove me wrong".
Hal gritted his teeth the memory that slipped into his mind causing him to quiver those green eyes that emotionless stare an image of himself that now terrified him he held his breath and ground his teeth only for his rage to slip away from him.
Again, another memory flew into his mind "Every one needs it, everyone wants it". As far as he was concerned, he was worthless, he had never been worth anything but was he satisfied with that fate he thought about it for a while his mind finally growing to a conclusion "No, am not"
Hal wanted to be worth something, he wanted to prove that look-alike wrong, that was going to be his reason to live to find a purpose to prove his worth. And with this reason he was going to kill the beast that stalked them".
Hal looked down at the battle and from the looks of things there was no way Tai was going to win a battle with such a ferocious beast he looked around and saw a leather bag left behind by Tai he rushed to it and rummaged through it taking out a dagger from it. Hal turned to the crystal covered wall of the cave and ran towards it a plan forming in his mind.
As far as Hal knew he was below average in many things from his looks to his grades but there was one thing that Hal trusted that he was the best in a talent that only he could make use of and it was his attention to detail his senses always seemed sharper than most which his eyes saw further and his ears heard more.
It all helped him to fully be aware of his surroundings to always know what was going on in what ever place he was to some extent at least he's on version of spatial awareness an ability that made him good at reading the world.
Hal reached the wall and picked a large stone carefully placing the dagger in his mouth if he was right then this experiment would work.
Hal musted his strength and struck the wall with the stone sending vibrations revibrating all throughout the crystals Hal smiled he was right. He struck the wall again and again causing the vibrations to grow more violent.
From what Hal had examined the crystals seemed to carry vibrations in a strange manner each crystal seemed to amplify the vibrations sent into it before passing them on to the next crystal continuing the process. That's why the crystals easily shattered and that knowledge was going to help him reach his goal.
Vibrations spread through Hal's mind causing them to ache with agony he resisted the urge to scream as he dealt one final blow to the wall causing a loud shattering sound that pushed Hal back and after a loud shriek burst forth causing the crystals to shatter more as they fell to the ground.
He let out a groan as he got up knowing too well that his job was not done, he got the dagger and plunged his dagger into the cave as he began to scale the wall his body felt heavy but he kept going knowing that giving up now would mean death he pushed his body and scaled the wall sweat falling from his forehead.
He reached the top of the wall taking in the light the permeated from the opening at the top of the cavern but this light was different from the light of the cave it was daylight Hal could just leave Tai behind but he knew he needed him he knew nothing about this place or if he could but Tai did so whether he liked it or not he would have to help the handsome swordsman.
Hal moved towards one of the stalactites hanging from the ceiling it crystal surface shimmering with a dazzling radiance the rose the dagger to the giant stalactite and with a stone began to hammer the dagger into the stalactite causing vibration to revibrate through the entire cave.
All the crystals in the cave vibrated becoming more intense with every strike cracks began to spread throughout the cave reaching a critical state. He bolted towards the edge and shouted "Tai don't think, just run" he saw the boy run towards an opening as the beast was in hot pursuit of him.
Hal bolted back to the stalactite and with one final struck every crystal in the cave exploded in an array of tiny shards that danced with sparkling lights all displaying an array of brilliant colors as the crystals on the ceiling and walls fell to the ground leaving the him dazzled by its beauty.
