Tai turned back and gazed at his ferocious beast chasing after him and his eyes widened as he let out a weird terrified sound as he realized the monster had gotten closer the beast was a large lizard like monster with dark blue scales and obsidian black claws with spines of the same color running down its spine it had a powerful tail smashed against the walls of the cave causing the entire place to rumble as pieces of rock and crystal fell to the ground.
Tai was not in the spirit of dying young he had always imagined himself finding a pretty girl getting married, growing old and dying in the arms of his beloved and sadly he had achieved none of that so right now dying was not an option, he felt his breath grow heavy with every step, he slowing down something he could not afford but before all hope was lost he saw a bright light and ran towards it with what little energy he had left.
His legs carried him forward as the beast behind him inched ever closer to him as it foamed at the mouth the mere thought of its prey getting slower fueling its blood lust even more. Tai sped up and so did the beast until finally he shot out the tiny opening in the cave wall, He felt his entire body grow weightless for a moment until it wasn't. he fell landing on his feet as he began to slid down the slope.
Had he finally escaped the beast, a smile almost spread upon his lips until he heard the opening behind him be smashed open as what followed was an ear-piercing roar the was followed by a huge rumbling that sent several cracks through the crystals on the walls of the cave. As tai sloped down, he saw a giant stalactite hanging from the ceiling.
But before the majesty of it could sink in the rumbling and roar sounded again, he turned back and saw the beast break free and began rampaging towards him "Damn you" Tai's eyes moved again and saw something strange curled up on the floor was "A boy" the boy had golden brown hair and seemed not to care about the destruction happening all around him.
Almost as if it was instinct Tai called out "Hey kid!!!! GET THE HELL UP!" the boy shifted as he rose and gazed up at Tai and his pursuer with his clear blue eyes but even though the boy's face looked almost depressed as if he wanted to "Die" Tai twisted his face into a frown and gritted his teeth leaping forward to start running again behind him the cave burst into chaos as the beast followed in his footsteps causing more of the cave to crumble as a huge crack appeared in the large stalactite "Not much time"
He bolted forward and grabbed the boy by the collar dragging him along he felt his muscles strain but kept going dodging the falling pieces of crystals as he headed towards another opening in the cave the beast roared and sweat dropped from Tai's forehead until he slid into the opening pulling the boy with him as the abomination smashed against the opening causing the entire cave to shake and as it did the entire room came crumbling down on the beast.

Arwin if that was his name anymore had suddenly found himself in this cave he didn't know how he got there nor who this boy that had saved from the abomination was. The boy though had a handsome face with light purple hair with beautiful eyes of the same color "Why did you save me anyway" the handsome boy turned with curiosity as if realizing that the boy in front of him could actually speak.
"Well, I really don't enjoy seeing people die for no reason" the boys voice sounded somber as if the thoughts that came with these words weighed him down immensely the boy smiled soon after and reached out his hand saying "The name is Tailow Roseheart but you can call me Tai and what would yours be".
Arwin's lips parted slightly as he looked away from Tai and answered in a somber tone "I have no name or anything else for that matter" Tai looked confused after his words as he stroked his cheeks gently "You seriously don't have a name" to which he simply nodded. Tai seemed to think for a while before he finally spoke "They would you mind if I gave you a name makes it easier to communicate".
He thought about it for a while but did it really matter he turned to Tai trying his best to feel something other than pain. But maybe at least having an identity would help improve his condition, so he took his chance and nodded to Tai who smiled and wasted no time coming up with a suitable name for him.
"How…about Hal" Hal didn't retort the name instead he simply kept his opinion to himself the two boys wondered through the cave as glowing dust fell from the ceiling of the cave Tai had tried his best to start a conversation but Hal chose to keep his words to himself.
The boys reached another opening and went through it out side was a cylindrical room that stretched down with multiple openings lining its walls hey were somewhere around the middle. Suddenly Tai pulled Hal back into the cave as he signaled for him to keep quiet.
The handsome young man peeped out side the cave a terrified look upon his face Hal traced his gaze and saw the same abomination that had been chasing Tai though this time its entire body was covered in bruises and deep wounds it bled from the mouth as the foam from it was now a crimson color. "Why is this bastard still alive" Hal could see the amount of disbelief plastered on Tai's face as the boy then said "Its wounded so I may be able to take it down and get you a home".
Hal shook his head as he said "Just save yourself I'm just a worthless boy with nothing to live so my life is pretty useless", Tai's face twisted into a frown as he said "No I refuse what do you mean you want to die that you have no reason to live well listen up do you how much effort was needed put in to getting here from your mother's pain to your father's struggle they all did something to get you here so why are you trying to throw it away"
Hal spoke with a somber tone as he said "I told you I have no reason to live" Tai face suddenly twisted into a more wistful person as he soon spoke "According to what I know you seem not to have your memories so you're confused so you claim not to have a reason to live well hear this everyone needs a fuel to drive their interactions if you don't a reason like to become hero".
Tai unsheathed a silver sword that was attached to his belt buckle and moved towards the entrance saying "Everyone needs it everyone wants it so Hal when I get back please tell me your reason to live".
