Chapter 32: Looking For Trouble

"Here you go, Harry." Hermione handed him a cup of tea that she had just brewed using a magical instrument.

Harry was sitting on a patch of grass and resting his back against a tree while enjoying the cool breeze of the school grounds.

He took the warm tea and began drinking it.

The weekend had arrived, and he had decided to take a moment to rest and enjoy the scenery.

It had already been a week since his rebirth, and so far, he had been working nonstop, preparing for his return to power.

But it was also important to take a break once in a while and appreciate the fact that he was alive once more. This is why I came up with the idea of relaxing for a bit on Hogwarts' ample fields.

He had moved to a spot quite far away from the castle so he wouldn't be bothered.

"Are you sure this is okay?" Hermione asked him while she was putting away the tea kettle. "We still haven't done our homework. And next week we have the finals."

"Homework, tests?…" Harry rolled his eyes. "Why should I concern myself with things like those? My time is too valuable to spend trying to please the useless wizards and witches who call themselves our professors."

"But Harry… tests are important. How else are we going to prove that we have learned the lessons?" Hermione asked.

Even under the influence of the slave collar, her personality was still the same. And studies ranked very high on her list of priorities.

"Besides…" Hermione continued. "If we don't pass our OWLs, the Ministry of Magic will not allow us to do magic. I read that those who don't pass the test after three tries have their wands snapped and are forbidden to use magic again, just like they did to Hagrid… I don't want that."

"Pff… the Ministry of Magic." Harry huffed. "You think I will allow those charlatans to tell me what I can or can't do?" One day, he was going to tear that place down and kill everyone inside.

Those were the bastards who took over his home and destroyed his magnificent collection of books and artifacts.

"Harry, you shouldn't say things like that out loud. What if someone hears you? You could get in a lot of trouble." Hermione said as she looked around.

Just then, she spotted a group of four boys walking directly towards them. "Someone's coming."

"Hhmm?" Harry lifted his eyes from his cup of tea and saw the boys.

They looked like sixth or seventh-year ones. He did recognize the one walking at the front.

"They are seniors," said Hermione. "That one is Marcus Flint." She glanced at the ugly boy with crooked teeth.

He was also the current captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team.

The boys approached them with smirks on their faces and an attitude filled with confidence.

"Having a good time with the mudblood, Potter?" Marcus stopped a few feet away from him and moved his eyes between Harry and Hermione.

"Look at that, he's having tea with his girlfriend. How cute," another added with a mocking tone.

"It looks like tea time is ruined…" Harry sighed and handed the cup to Hermione. "Here, store this up."

"Don't think that you can just leave, Potter." Marcus held his wand in his hand.

"Put that away. You can't use spells outside of the classroom," Hermione told him. "You're going to get detention if y—"

"Shut up, you muggle bitch." Marcus pointed the wand at her.

Harry stood up. "I suppose this is related to what happened to Malfoy. You came here for some payback because that blonde idiot is too useless to do it himself… am I correct?"

Marcus grinned. "You really don't know when to shut up, huh? You have no idea how powerful the Malfoy family is."

"Powerful?" Harry raised an eyebrow. "Boy… you're the one who has no idea what power is."

"What are y—"

"Confractus." Harry performed a simple gesture with his hand.

The next instant, there was a loud cracking noise, and Marcus began to scream.

His hand had bent ninety degrees, and the bone of his wrist could be seen poking out while blood poured from the wound.

The wand fell to the grass, and Harry picked it up while everyone tried to understand what had just happened.

The other three boys were in shock. They had never expected Harry to use such a nasty curse right off the bat, and to do it without even a wand.

"Silencio." Harry shut Marcus's screams before turning his attention to the others.

They were scrambling to get their wands out and defend themselves.

"Reducto." Harry sent a spell at the first one who managed to grab their wand.

The Blasting Charm is designed to obliterate solid objects, not to cause harm to people.

However, when you reduce a wooden wand into splinters, these tend to fly away, piercing the skin of whoever is nearby.

The unfortunate boy ended up with a large fragment of wood stabbed into his hand and another one on his face.

The remaining boys held their wands in trembling hands and aimed them at Harry. Their faces were pale, and the previous smirks were nowhere to be seen.

"Well? Go on." Harry told them. "Show me what you can do."

"Y-You're going to be exp—"

"Reducto." Harry destroyed that wand as well.

The boy fell to the ground, screaming in pain.

There was only one left.

Harry gave him a passing glance. "I said that I wanted to see wh—"

"Expelliarmus!"

The boy's spell hit an invisible wall and bounced off.

"Seriously?… you expected that to work?" Harry shook his head. Even if his barrier wasn't there, that charm would have done nothing, as he was more than capable of using wandless magic.

"Useless…" Harry then broke the hand of the last boy, followed quickly by a silencer.

"I have to say that even Malfoy put up a better fight than you four. At least he used something more serious…" Harry walked up to Marcus, who was glaring at him with fear in his eyes.

"Got anything to say?" Harry removed the silencer from Marcus. "Don't start screaming or I will shut you up again."

"S-Stop! You… you are going to be in so much trouble when we tell t—"

"No, I don't think I will," Harry interrupted him. "Because you won't speak of this to anyone."
