Chapter 19: You Look Like Her

Professor McGonagall returned after completing her own business, picked up Harry, and brought him back to the castle.

She never asked about his new wand, which was a good thing for him.

Harry was resting against one of the large windows on the sixth floor while holding the wand in his hand.

The yew wood that formed the wand, showed a light brown color with a reddish undertone when the sun's light shone upon it. Inside it, was a single hair from a thestral acting as its core.

'The old Ollivander was quite surprised when none of the wands that he brought me were compatible. Only then, he began to show me different kinds of wands, until we ended up on this one.'

He knew enough about wand lore to understand what these choices represented.

The yew wood symbolized resurrection and immortality. And thestrals are closely tied to the concept of death.

It was a very appropriate wand for the current him, and he felt that it was a perfect match the moment he touched it.

'I have to give props to that old wandmaker… he did create something marvelous.' He had only gone along with the idea of buying another wand because he knew it would be something necessary to keep this pretense.

But this wand was going to be something worth keeping.

"Definitely worth the trip…" Harry said.

"What are you mumbling about, Potter?"

He heard several sets of steps getting closer. When looking at them, he saw a blonde boy with a sneer on his face, there was a girl with short black hair at his side, and two large boys walking behind them.

Harry recognized these people in an instant. There were many memories about them in his mind, since the first time he met Draco Malfoy in Diagon Alley.

"Feeling sad, cheater?" Draco chuckled and held his 'Potter Stinks' badge.

"You know… I heard something interesting about you and Cedric Diggory…"

"What do you—" His words died in his mouth when his green eyes moved in the direction of the girl, Pansy Parkinson.

He did not recall interacting with her a single time in the four years they had attended school together, but he would sometimes see her hanging out with Draco's crowd.

However, the moment he took a good look at her, he felt like he had been hit by a bolt of lightning.

She was the vivid image of the young woman who had ended up causing his downfall.

"Helena…" He became completely fixated on her. There were some differences, like the clothes and haircut. But their faces were so similar that they could have passed as twin sisters.

'Could this be a case of reincarnation?' This was not a very researched topic, but one that greatly interested him during his previous life.

And now he wondered if natural reincarnation was possible after all.

"W-what did he call me?" Pansy looked at the other boys with confusion, thinking that she must have misheard Harry.

"I think he said Helena," Goyle muttered.

"Yep, definitely said something like that," Crabbe agreed.

"Potter!" Draco shouted at him, feeling angered by the fact that Harry's attention seemed to be completely on someone who was not him.

"Hey, I am speaking to you!"

Without realizing it, Harry had already taken several steps toward Pansy, as he wanted to get a closer look at her.

"Helena… it's really you…" Even after walking closer, he could not spot a single distinction.

And he would know this well, as he had examined the face of that girl for countless hours. Without her knowledge, of course.

Many times, he had used invisibility charms to sneak around the royal capital and observe the girl while she played an instrument, read a book, or took a bath.

He had memorized every inch of her body even before taking her for himself.

"My name is Pansy! W-what are you doing?! Potter?!" Pansy took a step back when she saw him get too close.

Draco already had his wand in hand. "That's it! I'm going to put you in your place!"

He had already come here with that intention, but he would have liked to get a few insults in before having to curse Harry.

Malfoy pointed his wand at him and cast a Hurling Hex. This one had the immediate effect of making someone vomit uncontrollably.

The hex came out of Draco's wand in the form of a light green spark and moved towards Harry, who was merely a few feet away.

An evil grin had already started to appear on Draco's face, anticipating the nasty effect his spell was about to produce.

However, against all predictions, the spell did nothing more than fizzle before it touched Harry, as if it had impacted on some invisible wall.

"What did you do?!"

It was just now that Draco caught Harry's attention, allowing him to take his eyes away from the beautiful girl.

This displeased him greatly, as of right now, he wanted to do nothing more than to stare at that face.

His expression turned grim as he raised his left hand, aiming his naked fingers at the blonde Slytherin boy.

Draco panicked and tried to call his two bodyguards. However, no words came out of his mouth, and when he tried to scream, he realized the terrible fact that he could no longer breathe.

"Ahh!" Pansy cried when she saw some ghostly hand grasping Draco's neck.

"Let him go!" Goyle saw that his friend was in trouble and promptly rushed at Harry, along with his companion, Crabbe.

Harry felt like it would be a good opportunity to give his new wand a much-needed test, so he held it in hand and moved at a sharp angle.

Goyle felt his knee breaking apart and rotating backwards. The large boy fell to the ground, screaming.

Crabbe took his eyes off Harry just for a moment to check on his friend. Before he understood what was happening, he felt something hitting his back, and everything went dark.

"Silencio." Lastly, he had to put a silencing charm on Goyle, as his screams would have alerted the entire castle.

"Now… where was I?" His eyes returned to Pansy. "Ah… yes. Beautiful indeed."
