anzo watched silently as Sarutobi Hiruzen's figure disappeared into the distance.
A cold glint flickered in his eyes.
"Not suitable for my darkness, huh?"
Heh.
What a righteous, noble, awe-inspiring Third Hokage.
But if it weren't for him, for Shimura Danzo—
Would the Hidden Leaf Village still enjoy this peace?
Would Hiruzen be able to sit comfortably in his office every day, puffing away on that damn pipe?
Danzo's gaze sharpened.
Think of it.
White Fang, driven to suicide under public pressure—whose quiet encouragement made that happen?
The Uchiha Clan, wiped out in one night—who insisted it had to be done?
The Senju. The Uzumaki. Every fall has my shadow behind it.
What about you, Sarutobi Hiruzen?
You just smoke.
Day in, day out.
Puff. Puff. Puff.
One day, Danzo thought darkly, I'll beat you to death with that pipe.
After finishing his silent rant, he cast a glance toward Mitarashi Anko, his expression unreadable.
It wouldn't be long now.
Hiruzen... your era is ending.
The future of the Hidden Leaf belongs to me—Shimura Danzo.
After both the Third Hokage and Danzo departed—
Yoruha stood in place, lost in thought.
It seemed…
Danzo, that shadowy schemer, had truly taken an interest in him.
But that was fine.
From the battle earlier with Anko, Yoruha had made a quiet evaluation.
With his current strength…
If he went all out, he was already near the level of an elite jounin.
And with his family background and reputation?
Even someone like Danzo had to acknowledge his worth.
He could handle him.
"So now that our relationship is official," Yoruha turned to Anko, tossing the bell back to her, "what's the plan for tomorrow? Do we start doing missions right away?"
Anko caught the bell with a lazy grin, slipping back into her usual flirty, casual demeanor.
Gone was the earlier wild intensity.
"Tomorrow? Let's take it easy. You already passed your test. The other brats still have to wait for their evaluations tomorrow," she said, twirling the bell in her fingers.
"By the way, you sneaky little brat—you never told me. How did you know I planted that snake underground?"
Yoruha gave her a shrug and a grin.
"Why don't you take a guess?"
"Tch. You annoying brat," Anko huffed, though not without amusement. "Fine. If you won't tell me, then you owe me dinner as compensation."
She wasn't the type to dwell on curiosity.
But she was the type to take what she could get in return.
"Tonight might not work," Yoruha replied. "I already made plans with my friends to celebrate graduation."
"How about tomorrow? I'll treat you to something good. But hey… not too much, alright? Girls who eat too much—well, they might get fat."
Anko paused.
Then let out a snort and a playful, exaggerated scoff.
"You little punk. What do you know about women?" she smirked. "This goddess here? Even if I eat a whole cow, I only gain weight in the right places. That's called talent!"
Yoruha shook his head, helpless.
Tragic.
A woman this bold, wild, and lively… destined to become a chubby, round lady in the Boruto era?
No. He wouldn't let that happen.
Yoruha turned to leave.
But before he could go far, Anko suddenly called out again.
"Wait! There's still one more thing we haven't done yet. Time for the Ninja Three Questions!"
He turned back, blinking.
"Seriously?"
The "Ninja Three Questions"—a traditional formality when starting under a new instructor:
What do you like?
What do you hate?
What are your dreams for the future?
The kind of thing that sounded deep…
But really?
It was completely pointless.
"It's protocol," Anko said with a shrug, grinning.
