The two of them cleaned their hands with the towels but didn't immediately leave. Leon pondered for a while before asking,
"What do you mean by damaged?"
"You don't know?" Amber raised an eyebrow. "I thought you might have already visited the top doctors and healers."
"We did, but the most we found out was that the problem with her voice lay in her soul," Leon sighed. "Other than that, nothing. That's why I'm asking what you mean by damaged."
"Well, I can't tell anything without properly checking, but one thing is for sure," she said. "Her soul is damaged. Whether it was by accident or intentional, I don't know, but it's a miracle she's alive and doing this well."
"Her soul is that damaged?" Leon frowned even more.
"You understand Corruption very well, so you should also understand what even a slight damage on the soul can do to a woman."
Leon stayed silent. He knew it, but he didn't want to admit it.
