After defeating the Shadow Beast in the Hall of Shadows, Merslin's party advanced toward their next objective: the Cursed Halls. This was known as the most sinister and dangerous section within the Fortress of Darkness, guarded by corrupt sorcerers.

The corrupt sorcerers were waiting for them in the depths of the hall. They used the power of darkness to try and throw the allied forces into disarray.
"These Cursed Halls will be your tomb!" one sorcerer shouted, casting a powerful curse. The hex slowed the allied soldiers' movements and caused them to suffer from hallucinations.
Merslin used his magic to dispel the curse. "This curse has no effect on me. We will bring you down with our power!" He hurled a fireball, attacking the sorcerer.
The corrupt sorcerers attacked the allies alongside the cursed wraiths. Daren used the power of nature to entangle the wraiths and summoned tree roots to attack the sorcerers. "The power of nature will purify this curse!" Daren shouted.
Adeon used the holy power of a paladin to subdue the sorcerers. His shield reflected their curses and magic, protecting the allies. "I will purify this darkness with holy power!" Adeon declared.
The battle unfolded fiercely. Though the sorcerers threatened the allies with powerful magic and curses, Merslin's party fought on tenaciously. Ria supported the battle, healing the wounded soldiers with her spells.

Arriving at a grand ritual chamber in the deepest part of the hall, the party confronted the final boss of this section: the corrupt sorcerer, Jared. Jared's appearance was horrific, transformed by the power of corruption, and he threatened the allies with powerful curses and magic.
"I did not expect you to make it this far," Jared said in a cold voice. "But your journey ends here. The darkness will swallow you. I will devour you all!" His voice echoed like a piercing shriek.
Jared attacked the allies with powerful curses and dark magic, throwing them into confusion and weakening their strength. Merslin attempted to neutralize his magic with Chain Bind, Fireball, and Lightning Arrow.
