Zion acted quite normal the next day, I guess it was all just in my head, he definitely doesn't have a crush on me.
"No Limah nothing you say right now will change my mind"
"I can't leave you all by your self in this state" Zion added.
"Zion seriously I'm fine"
This was me trying to convince Zion he doesn't have to miss school because of me and he wasn't having any of that.
"Geez Limah stop trying to convince me, I'm staying with you and that's final." He said sternly.
I sighed tiredly, nodding to him.
"Good"
"And where is Xavier by the way" Zion asked me the question that have been on my mind since forever.
"I don't know" I whispered.
"I hope he's okay tho" he said this time I could see the worry in his eyes.
"How do you guys normally communicate with one another"
"Do they use phone in the ghost world too, oh shit that sound stupid I'm still trying comprehend all this you know"Zion said under his breath.
"I never had to reach out to him, he's always around"
"But now he's not" I said trying hard not to cry.
Zion softly took a hold of my hand squeezing it tightly I know he's trying to comfort me but I just need comfort from one person right now.
And that person is Xavier.
"Hey Limah we are here" Zion announced.
"Oh alright" i said coming out of the car.
The doctors called saying my mom woke up crying looking for me she was having a serious panic attack they had to give her injections to calm are down.
"Hey mom" I called out entering my mom's hospital room.
"Oh my baby" she's said pulling immediately into her arms.
"Are you okay, are you hurt" my mom asked worriedly.
"Mom I'm fine I promise"
"Oh my baby, I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you" my mom said crying.
"Mom please stop will all these tears, I hate seeing you cry" I said trying hard not to cry too.
"I have missed you so much" my mom said kissing my cheeks sweetly.
"Where is your dad?" she asked this time.
I could see the fear in her eyes.
"Hey mom dad won't ever hurt us again, never" I said taking a hold of her hands.
"Oh who's that?" My mom asked pointing to Zion he was still standing close to door.
"Mom that's Zion my friend, he saved us yesterday" I said turning to look at him smiling.
"Oh my please come here" my mom said hugging Zion tightly when he came closer.
"Thank you so much, I'm really grateful for what you for us"
"I'm just glad you both save now ma'am" zion
"Oh please just call me Anna dear" my mom said smiling at zion sweetly.
Zion and I spent some more time with my mom before the doctor came in saying my mom needs to take her medication and rest.
"Mom I will come by later again okay"
"Limah dear oh please you don't have to, you also need to rest"
"You can just come by tomorrow evening okay" she added pulling me into another hug.

"Limah go upstairs and rest I will prepare something for you too eat" Zion said smiling at me.
We came back to my house and Zion still haven't left my side for a second.
"Hey you guys don't have much here I will go and get some stuffs" Zion said walking out of the kitchen.
"Oh alright"
"Now go come on Limah you also need to rest" he said urging me towards the stairs.
"See you later" and with that he was out the door.
I sighed tiredly walking up the stairs sluggishly.
When I finally got to my room I pushed open my door and saw Xavier standing there staring right back at me.
"Why are you here" I snapped at Xavier closing the door behind me.
"Limah I'm sorry I know I told you I will be b-ack" he tried apologizing.
But I cut him off quickly.
"Just leave me alone Xavier, when I needed you the most and you were not here" I said with tears already streaming down my face.
"What happened to I got you huh?" I asked mockingly.
Xavier tried coming closer, and I moved back immediately. I could see the hurt in his eyes.
"You know my dad was here Xavier, I was so scared I called out your name countless times wanting you to appear and come save me, b-u-t yo-u nev-er came" I said.
"Limah fuck"
"I'm so sorry did he hurt you" Xavier asked worriedly.
And with that I told Xavier everything completely breaking down and when Xavier pulled finally me into his arms I melted into the hug clingy to him like my life depends on it.
"Are you okay" Xavier asked after sometime.
"I guess so"
"Limah I'm so sorry, the council head called that I had little time left if I wanted to be human again I have to act fast"
"That there is a powerful spell to break the portal my soul lies within but it can be dangerous so it all depends on on my body that my soul lies within the human and the ghost world.
"So I have to look for my soul and body since my body was never found when I died, but I have to be very fast because if I don't before the time runs out and my soul gets lost I will remain a ghost forever" Xavier explained.
"But if I'm able to beat the time I will wake up as human again exactly were I died in the human world. I'm so sorry I wasn't here to save you from your dad" Xavier said.
"The ghost council heads are preparing for the ritual that's to be performed on me which would take me to the other realm, Limah I can't wait to spend time with you here all the time and to be seen with you, I want to be able to show you off to the world you"
"So that's why I'm doing the ritual today and I would do whatever it takes to get my body and soul back to be with you I promise" Xavier added looking at me intensely.
"Sorry" feeling foolish I lower my eyes and stare at my hands folded in my laps rubbing at my knuckles absently with my thumb trying to process everything I just learned. Regret filled me, I was angry at Xavier over nothing but I could help it I was hurt.
"Hey please don't say sorry" Xavier said taking a hold of my hands kissing them softly.
"And your mom hope she's good?"
"The doctor said she will need therapy, apart from that she's okay I guess"
"Oh I'm just glad you both okay" Xavier whispered kissing away my tears.
"Limah I'm back" I Heard Zion call from behind the door.
"Limah are you okay" he added
I stood up quickly opening the door.
"Hey Zion that was fast" I said looking at him.
"Geez Limah were you crying?" he asked worriedly.
"It's nothing I'm fine" I said smiling a bit...
"Hey Zion" Xavier called out from inside the room.
"Oh hey Xavier you are here"
"Yeah I am, Limah told me everything thank you" Xavier added.
"I didn't do it for you, so you don't have to thank me " Zion said quite harshly.
"Sorry fuck, I didn't mean to sound rude" he added apologizing quickly.
"It's fine" Xavier said
"Ok I guess I should go, since Xavier is here" Zion said looking at me with expressions I couldn't quite explain.
"You don't have go you know" I said.
"Yeah you don't really have to go and moreover I need to tell you something" Xavier said looking at him.
"We should talk better downstairs" he added.
"Alright let's go" Zion said about heading back downstairs.
"Save your self the stress bro"
"Huh" Zion said looking at me with a vivid confuse expression on his face.
"Just do your thing Xavier" I said chuckling slightly.
"Come here" Xavier said smirking at me.
"And you too Zion"
"Huh me" he asked pointing at himself still confuse.
"Geez bro you slow" Xavier groaned dragging Zion closer.
"We are here, now get off me" Xavier said pushing Zion away sitting on the couch and bringing me down with him.
"Did we just disappear here?" Zion asked flabbergasted.
"Yeah now sit your ass down, I need to tell you something"
With that Xavier explained everything to Zion as he earlier did to me back in my room.
"Geez man that's insane, I'm still finding everything about this so hard to believe" Zion said
"I know but this is reality, I'm a bit scared not gonna lie, but I'm gonna do what ever it takes to be human again" Xavier said staring at me this time.
I offered him a small smile, I honestly didn't know what else to say I was scared also what if Xavier doesn't make it on time. I guess I can only pray for the best and that he does.
"I need to start heading back to the ghost world anytime soon"
"Zion can you remember the location your dad took us camping, the place I died rather" Xavier
"You know since I'm gonna wake up in the same location I died here in the human world" Xavier added.
"Yeah sure I remember, I normally go there once in while expecting some kinda miracle to happen" Zion said sofly.
He was feeling guilty it was written all over him.
"Mm maybe you could wait for me there?"
"Yeah sure bro of course" Zion replied.
"I better get going" Xavier said standing up.
I stood up immediately clingy to his arms.
"Hey you good?" Xavier asked
"I don't know" I replied honestly.
Xavier immediately pulled me into his arms hugging me tightly.
"The next time I would be hugging you like this, it will be as a human and not a ghost, I promise" Xavier whispered into my ears.
"Alright you better get going" i said pulling away slowly
"Alright Zion see you soon" and with Xavier was gone.
"I better get going too"
"The location is quite far" Zion added.
"I'm coming with you" I said looking at him with pleading eyes.
"Oh alright, let's go, but firstly go grab a jacket it will be cold out there.
I ran quickly to get my jacket.
"Hey I'm back"
"Alright let's go" Zion said walking out the door.
"You probably hungry we grab something on our way yeah"
"Thanks Zion".
We drove for about an hour before we finally got there. Everywhere was surrounded with lots of tall looking trees, the place looks kinda scary.
"We will have to walk further" Zion said coming out of the car.
"This area belongs to dad, the place is safe, you don't have to be scared.
"Mm"
"Come on let's go we will be walking for about 40mins"
when we finally got the place i Immediately plopped my self down on a rock breathing heavily. I was really exhausted.
"I think I need to start exercising" I said gasping for air.
"You sure do" Zion said chuckling slightly.
"This is exactly the spot Xavier fell off" Zion said pointing at a rock opposite where we are sitting.
"I will always regret this day you know" Zion turned to look at me with a sadden expression on his face.
"It's not your fault, I have told you countless times already and moreover look at the bright side you and Xavier are on good terms now"
"Thank Limah"he mumbled smiling a little.
Zion and i have been waiting for hours and yet still no sign of Xavier it was already dark.
"One more hour till mid night" Zion said looking at me with a worried expression on his face.
"What if he doesn't make it on time Zion?" I finally said out loud the thought that has been on my mind all day.
"Let's just be positive, and Xavier he is a fighter" Zion said.
"God I'm freezing" I whispered shaking slightly.
"See that's why I asked you to bring a jacket"
"Come here I will warm you up"Zion offered.
I moved closer to him and he immediately wrapped his hand around me pulling me closer to his side.
We sat there in silence for awhile.
"What's the time now?" I asked Zion breaking the silence.
"It's past mid night" he replied.
"I think we should head back" he added looking at me.
I didn't reply for sometime.
"Li-ma" Zion tried saying but a sound coming from the water interrupted us both.
"Hey hey Zion look, I think there's someone in the water" I screamed excitedly.
It was quite dark but the figure could still be seen
"I think he's floating" I added getting scared.
Oh my God Xavier can't swim.
"I'm gonna jump" Zion announced. Already pulling his shirt off.
"But you ca-nt sw-im" I tried saying but he was already jumping in the water, leaving a splashing sound..
I started pacing around I was scared I couldn't hear anything anymore. No sign of Xavier nor Zion.
"Zion" I called out but still nothing.
"Ok I'm going in" I said to myself.
About jumping, I Heard Zion vioce "Hey Limah, we are fine."
"We will be up soon" he added.
"Oh my God!!" I said laughing and crying at the same time relief washing over me.
After awhile Zion and Xavier climbed right up with Zion supporting Xavier.
I immediately walked towards them hugging them both so tightly.
"I was so scared" I whispered.
When I finally pulled away Xavier was looking at me with tons of emotions on his face.
He was looking different and he doesn't look pale anymore.
"Xavier" I said but he doesn't reply.
"Come on Limah let's help him back to the car, he's exhausted"
"He drank a lot of water down there I had to force it out of him" Zion said.
"Xavier" I tried calling again but still nothing.
When we finally got to the car, we helped Xavier get into the back.
"You can stay with him there if you want to" Zion said.
"Oh alright" when I got in Xavier head immediately fell on my shoulder he was fast asleep.
His body temperature was a bit high.
"I think Xavier got a fever" I said.
"He will be fine" Zion replied.
"Zion" I called out again after sometime.
"Mm"
"I thought you couldn't swim?"
"For the past three years i have been learning"
"I wanted to ease my guilt so I have been learning how to swim still haven't over come my fear of water but I'm getting there" Zion said slowly.
"It wasn't easy but I guess it's worth it right"
I turned to look at Xavier who was sleeping soundly on my shoulder snoring slightly, I smiled at the sight.
"Yeah right" I said.
