"HP: Too Late, System!"Chapter 359: Hogwarts Administrative Assistants

Neville gazed at the study schedule and neatly annotated notes, gratitude lighting up his face.

"Thank you, Hermione. This plan is a lifesaver—I was just worrying about how I'd manage to remember all this."

Hermione gave Neville a brief, warm smile before turning back to the other two, her expression snapping back to stern.

"Don't even think about slacking off. I'll be checking after term starts, Ron. And Harry, I'll drop by to check on you over the holidays if I have the time."

Harry—on behalf of himself and the already-glazed Ron—offered a hasty promise.

"All right, Hermione, we'll… do our best."

Clearing his throat, Neville spoke up, a little sheepish.

"Um… about the Gale Sword Society, I've put together a summer training program too."

He pulled a parchment from his pocket. It wasn't as thick as Hermione's, but it was packed with tiny, earnest handwriting.

"It's mainly drills for basic swordwork and reaction time, plus some physical training. When term starts, I'll organize an internal assessment to see how everyone's progressed."

His voice was quiet but carried the steady responsibility of a true club president. As he spoke, he handed his schedule to Hermione.

"Hermione, could you take a look and let me know if anything needs tweaking?"

Hermione accepted it and began reading carefully.

Ron and Harry leaned in, curiosity piqued.

The parchment was filled with training items—"Basic Sword Footwork Practice," "Wand and Sword Coordination for Spell Accuracy," "Gryffindor Courage Charge Simulation," and more.

Neville explained, voice growing firmer as he talked about his club.

"The Gale Sword Society is all about fighting like the old Gryffindor warriors—wand in one hand, sword in the other."

Ron glanced over and muttered, "Sounds way more fun than slogging through History of Magic… At least you get to move around."

Hermione looked at Neville approvingly.

"It's a great plan, Neville. You need goals to make progress. But just a small note—your club members aren't all Gryffindors. You've got Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws too, so maybe add some training that fits their house strengths…"

Seeing Neville so organized, Harry suddenly felt his own Charon Detective Society ought to have some summer activities and plans.

He looked at Hermione, who was still analyzing Neville's schedule.

"Any plans for the Charon Detective Society?"

He shot a glance at Ron.

Ron tilted his head, giving Harry a sidelong, half-lidded look.

"Aren't you the club president?"

Then he seemed to realize something, turned, and stared at Harry in alarm.

"You're not thinking of making a plan too, are you? Harry, Merlin's beard, we already have enough to do!"

Hermione turned toward Harry. "I've already asked my parents to send over some detective books. The owl should deliver them tomorrow. We can hand them out to society members on the train—give them something to read and learn over the summer."

Harry scratched his head. "I was thinking… I want to fix up my house in Godric's Hollow. The one my parents left—the old place that Voldemort destroyed."

The air grew still for a moment.

Ron's eyes went wide.

"Fix up the old house? Harry, that's… that's where You-Know-Who attacked."

"I know." Harry nodded. "But it's still my home. I want to restore it."

Hermione frowned, thinking hard.

"That's a big job. And there might still be traces of unstable Dark Magic there."

"Exactly. That's why I need help." Harry looked around at his friends. "I want to invite the Charon Detective Society to help out this summer—if everyone's up for it."

Seeing their hesitation, Harry quickly added,

"It's just an idea for now. I'll need approval from Sirius and Professor Holmes first."

After he finished, a flicker of uncertainty crossed his face. Would this be too much to ask? Would they even allow it?

Neville frowned in confusion.

"But we aren't allowed to use magic during the holidays."

Harry adjusted his glasses.

"That's why I need their approval. They'll have to handle the dark magic bits. The rest, we can do by hand."

He leaned in and whispered, "If the Professor can help us use magic there without the Ministry finding out, that'd be perfect. I know he can pull it off."

Ron immediately puffed out his chest. "I'm good at fixing things—I'll bring some of Dad's tools from home."

Neville nodded vigorously. "Count me in, Harry. I'm not great at repair spells, but I can do the heavy lifting…"

Hermione handed Neville's plan back and said, "Restoring magically damaged buildings needs special knowledge and spells. Maybe we should check the library for resources in the next couple of days."

Harry nodded. "I'll go talk to Sirius and the Professor later."

Ron stroked his chin. "Professor Holmes probably won't mind, but are you sure about going to see Sirius—I mean, Director Black? He's been after you lately, always finding reasons to dock your points."

Harry hesitated…

Hogwarts Administrative Office.

Sirius beamed at the four young people before him.

Clapping his hands, he looked around the nearly empty office, hesitating a moment before speaking.

"Welcome to the Hogwarts Administrative Office… well, to the family, I suppose."

Seeing their nervous faces, Sirius chuckled,

"From today, you're the first-ever Administrative Assistants in Hogwarts history! Isn't that something to be excited about?"

"At the very least, give yourselves a round of applause. Not even graduated, and you've already landed jobs that let you stay at Hogwarts—that's impressive."

The four exchanged looks, each with a different expression.

Jack Williams of Gryffindor nodded enthusiastically;

Emily Winston of Ravenclaw was already jotting notes in her journal;

Augustine Jones of Hufflepuff smiled sheepishly;

While Victoria Green of Slytherin wore a frosty look that practically screamed, "Why am I here?"

"Well, looks like only one of you appreciates the honor of this job," Sirius sighed, shrugging as he picked up a piece of parchment from the desk.

"Let's see your Heads of House recommendations.

Professor McGonagall says Jack is great at organizing events;

Professor Sprout thinks Augustine's knowledge of plants and potions is impressive, and he's got a knack for emergency healing magic;

Professor Flitwick praises Emily's spellwork;

As for… hmm…" He paused, holding up a parchment. "Snape used a whole sheet just to write one line: 'She won't cause trouble for the school.' Truly touching."

After reading Snape's recommendation, Sirius realized his patience had improved—he hadn't even ripped it up on the spot.
