His feet couldn't handle his weight. His mind went blank for a moment and before he realized it, he lost his balance and crashed his back against the pillar. He slowly fall down, before half of his body sunk underwater.
His breathing slow and rigid, almost like he just swam in a frozen lake.
'I gotta... Move.' he said slowly. The fact his line of thought grew slower and his clarity faded away. He stood still, letting the water getting higher and higher.
'Come on! Move!' He screamed, trying to move his muscles, anything! Yet–
'Damn it! Get going you useless piece of shit! Shun exclaimed inwardly with desperation and grief. His body wouldn't still move, however.
Realization soon struck.
'Is this it?' His heart filled with despair, but he felt relief. Perhaps it bloomed for the fact he finally relished from everything? His worries, future, goals.
Though he felt guilt from the things he hadn't done yet.
'Sorry, grandma, everyone, but I've done my best,' he said inwardly. A line to calm, and justified himself, 'I'm allowed to rest, right?'
At this point, he accepted his death. Coming into terms with it, even.
He closed his eyes, and embraced the eternal slumber with his heart beating faster than an ordinary athlete.
Fear of death, or maybe uneasiness of the unknown. He wouldn't know, but at least he'd be freed of these things for eternity.
As the above occured, the water slowly reached his chest, then his mouth and slowly to his bridge nose.
