Because of Reina's stabbing of Selene's thigh, she was not allowed to do any heavy labor in prison. She was only allowed to help wash dishes in the kitchen and she did this while sitting on a chair.
This is deliberately done so that Caelum is not considered unfair by other prisoners. Even though it was clear that the reason why Selene could not help with prison work was because of her injuries. The prisoners would still talk bad about her and they would probably hate her even more.
For four days, Selene slept in the medical room until she was finally allowed to return to her own cell. When she returned, she used two crutches to walk.
Selene felt something strange when she returned to Block E where her cell room was located. Everyone suddenly fell silent and no longer talked bad or made fun of her when she walked into Block E.
"Look at that, she's back!" one of the prisoners whispered to another.
"Right, looks like she can't walk like she used to," said another prisoner who was still whispering and not shouting anything at her.
"Welcome back to your cell room. Next time don't make a scene again until you have to get hurt like this," said the warden on guard in his block.
"It's not my fault. But that damn woman challenged me first. She even cheated in the middle of the fight." Selene looked at all the prisoners in the same block as her with a smile.
"You've all witnessed the end result of my fight with that loser. And you can see for yourselves who the winner is here. That's if you don't want to end up like her," she said again.
Of course they all understood that, they themselves had witnessed how Selene had beaten Reina right in front of all the prisoners in the prison. And it made them realize that Selene was not just a weak-looking woman, but there was indeed a monster behind that beautiful face.
Even when she was still injured, she still managed to smile as if nothing had happened. But they realized that they couldn't cross the line, especially when they heard about Reina being put in isolation for two weeks by Caelum.
It was like a death sentence that had been given to the woman indirectly.
"You can go back to your cell room now. Get some rest so you can recover quickly," said the warden.
Selene nodded and walked with both crutches to her cell and sat on the bed. She sighed as she lay down on her bed. She was relieved to be back in her cell as Caelum and the prison doctor kept coming in and out of the room which made her uncomfortable.
She had no problem with Caelum, but she was suspicious of Doctor Smith who didn't look as nice as he seemed. She could see that the doctor was very calm and kind, but it seemed that only in front of Caelum but not to others.
"I'd better watch out for him."
She finally closed her eyes and fell asleep.
When she fell asleep, the other prisoners were finally directed to do their work while Selene was left in her cell room alone in the block.
Although some of the other prisoners were jealous of her, they also did not want to be hurt just to stay in the cell room. The female prisoners started gossiping about her again in this regard.
"Who are we anyway? She's the Chief Warden's woman. It's no surprise that she gets special treatment from him. You see Reina, did any of us get even more than five days of solitary confinement?"
They all nodded in agreement because no prisoner in the prison had actually been sentenced to up to 2 weeks in solitary confinement.
"If we were the victims of that stabbing, I'm sure we would still be forced to work because we were the ones who accepted the challenge."
"But do you think that bitch did it on purpose? I mean, from the moment she walked into this prison, she threw herself at Chief Rothwell, remember?"
They tried to remember that Selene had approached Caelum openly, even flirting with him right in front of everyone when they first met in the cafeteria three months ago.
They began to feel that Selene had deliberately approached Caelum so that she could gain privileges from him.
As the saying goes, 'If you enter a wolf's den, get close to the leader. Then you will be safe.'
They could imagine how Selene smiled slyly when she thought of that plan. Imagining her laughing above them as she managed to conquer the leader of the dangerous prison.
"That woman is really cunning!"
Later that afternoon, while Selene was still asleep, someone came and stood right in front of her cell door. It was none other than Caelum, the Chief Warden.
He was staring at her, with his piercing brown eyes. He would look at her beautiful face that was fast asleep in front of him at the moment.
"My black rose."

A few days later, the prison guards started talking about a new prisoner who had arrived that day. Their leader Caelum wanted the new prisoner to be put in a special block of his choice.
"I heard that the new prisoner committed a major crime, something to do with money. Maybe money laundering or maybe she committed a corruption?"
"But why would Chief Rothwell want to put her in that block? That block is already full of other prisoners. The other blocks still have many empty cell rooms," said another warden.
Selene, who was walking towards the field at the time, overheard the guards talking about the new prisoner.
However, she did not seem very interested or curious about it even though the prisoner seemed to sound interesting.
She continued walking with only one stick. Just then, Ronald calling her and helped her to walk towards the prison grounds.
"How's your leg? Does it still hurt a lot?" he asked while holding Selene's arm.
"It's just a little sore. Luckily the stitches have started to dry up," she replied.
She then continued her sentence by asking about the new prisoner who was said to have arrived at the prison.
"I haven't heard any details about the new resilience either. But what I do know is that she is a woman," Ronald replied.
"Hmn... New female prisoner, huh?"
As soon as they reached the field, Selene's eyes were immediately drawn to the crowd on the sidelines. She realized that the other prisoners were later crowding around someone who was there.
"Is that the woman they're referring to?"
