The Justice Brigade was attending a concert when the stage caught on fire. They then went into the restrooms and changed into their superhero costumes. The audience ran out the front door, but there were too many to get out through the doors. Heatgirl then destroyed part of the wall, creating a giant hole. Then the audience ran out of the hole Heatgirl made, and Aquaboy used his powers to put out the fire, and Iceboy helped by blowing out the fire with his powers.
After they got everyone out, Sungirl got grabbed and said, "Hey." Then the person holding her threw Sungirl against a wall. The rest of the Justice Brigade turned around and saw a lady with a man twice her size. Iceboy pointed at the lady and said, "Who are you? What do you want?" The lady said, "Name's Penny. Mr. Muscles over there goes by Samson. And we want to join The Super Crew." Iceboy said, "Good luck, they can't beat us either." Penny grabbed Iceboy and stretched her body up high. Then she blew out some knockout gas, and Iceboy fainted.
Meanwhile, Samson was trying to punch out Heatgirl and Aquaboy. Heatgirl then kicked Smason away with both her feet, and he flew up in the air and landed in a dumpster. Penny then flew around Heatgirl, blew out some knockout gas at her like she did to Iceboy, and Heatgirl fainted just like Iceboy did. Aquaboy then tapped Penny on the shoulder, and when she turned around, Aquaboy punched her hard, and she crashed into a wall. Sungirl then got off the wall and grabbed Iceboy. Aquaboy grabbed Heatgirl, and they flew back home. Once they got home, Sungirl and Aquaboy put Heatgirl and Iceboy in their infirmary and waited for them to wake up.
Meanwhile, Lance was with his team at their hideout, coming up with a plan to destroy the Justice Brigade. While they were planning, there was a knock on their door. Serpent slithered over, and before he answered it, Penny and Samson blew the door open and walked in. Lance said, "Who are you two?" Penny said, "I'm Penny, and this is Samson. And we want to join this group." Lance said, "We'll give you a spin. But to prove trustworthy, you will have to pass three tests. Test #1: Prove this isn't a setup. And to do that, you must pull a heist and not get caught by The Justice Brigade." Penny said, "Done."
Penny and Samson went to the museum in the middle of the night. Samson used his strength to break down the wall and destroy the alarm. Once security caught them, Penny released knockout gas from her mouth and rendered them unconscious. Then they started to steal things from the museum and ran off with them. Once they left the museum, they returned to The Super Crew's hideout and gave Lance all the jewels they had stolen. Penny kept the charm necklace they had stolen around her neck, and Samson held the magic sword they had stolen. Lance said, "Impressive. You robbed the museum." Penny said, "And we didn't see any sign of The Justice Brigade." Lance said, "Good, time for your second test. You'll have to steal only one thing of great value. And if the Justice Brigade tries to stop you, shake them up enough to get away. Fail and get busted, and you don't join the crew."
While Penny and Samson talked to Lance, the Justice Brigade investigated the museum. The police chief said, "No battering ram. That wall went down with brute force." Sungirl said, "And the security guards are all unconscious." Iceboy looked at the collapsed wall and said, "They also smashed the alarm." Heatgirl said, "Well, maybe they'll strike again tonight." Sungirl said, "Maybe." Penny and Samson went to one of the town's jewelry stores that night. When they arrived, Samson broke down the door, setting off the alarm, but then he smashed it to pieces. Penny and Samson then spotted a giant, one-of-a-kind ruby. Penny then used the necklace she stole to destroy the display case, and Samson stole it. After stealing the ruby, they escaped and returned to The Super Crew's hideout. Penny took the Ruby from Samson and gave it to Lance. Lance said, "Excellent. You two have done well. But there is one test left." Lance pushed a button on his control panel and showed Penny and Samson a hologram picture of Super Hunter. Lance said, "This is Super Hunter. She kicked our butts and The Justice Brigade's butts single-handedly until The Justice Brigade beat her and had her arrested. So, your last test is to find, fight, and beat this girl. Do so, and membership into The Super Crew is yours."
Meanwhile, the Justice Brigade was investigating the jewelry store for clues and saw it was just like the museum, except the only thing stolen was a ruby. Sungirl said, "You were right, Heatgirl, they did strike again. So maybe they'll go again tonight." Iceboy said, "And when they do, we'll be waiting for them." That night, Penny and Samson began to showcase their powers and wreak havoc with the items they had stolen. When the Justice Brigade heard screaming, they flew down to where it was coming from and saw Penny and Samson causing mayhem. Iceboy said, "Penny and Samson, we should have known." Sungirl said, "Come on, let's take them down."
The Justice Brigade flew up to Penny and Samson, yelling at them. Samson then turned his magic sword into a wand and blasted the Justice Brigade. Samson said, "Batter up." Samson then turned the rod into a baseball bat and hit the Justice Brigade away. While shaking up The Justice Brigade, Lance watched them on the news, and there was still no sign of Super Hunter. Once Super Hunter showed up, she tried taking the magic sword from Samson, so she kicked him away and took it from him. Lance said, "Now we're talking." The Justice Brigade got up, and Sungirl and Iceboy handled Super Hunter while Heatgirl and Aquaboy tried taking out Penny. Penny stretched her arm out and wrapped Super Hunter in it. Then she spun Super Hunter in circles until she dropped the magic sword, and Penny caught it. Then Penny let Super Hunter go, and she fell to the ground. Then Penny blasted Super Hunter with her necklace, but Sungirl protected her by putting a Sun Shield around her.
Penny said, "I'm going to destroy you for that." Sungirl grabbed the magic sword and tried to take it from Penny. Then Samson pounded the ground, and Sungirl fell. Then Penny changed the blade into a wand and hit Sungirl with it continuously. Then, a gusty wind from Aquaboy blew by Penny, and the rod turned red and levitated out of her hand. Iceboy then jumped and took it from her. Once he did, Super Hunter kicked Iceboy away, took the wand from him, and turned it back into a sword. Penny said, "Let's try this again." Penny blasted Super Hunter with her necklace, and Super Hunter screamed when she got hit. Then Super Hunter fell to the ground and dropped the sword. Heatgirl then blasted the back of Penny's neck, and the necklace fell off her neck. Heatgirl grabbed it. Then Penny looked ahead of her, and Aquaboy punched her while Heatgirl kicked Samson away and picked up the sword. Once everyone was defeated, the police took Super Hunter, Penny, and Samson to jail. They also took back the sword and necklace. Sungirl said, "That just leaves the jewels they stole. Where are they?" Penny said, "We gave them to The Super Crew. We're members since we lost to you, but she lost to us." Lance said, "She has a point. I may as well return this with a note. My guests will be here soon."
The Justice Brigade broke down The Super Crew's door. Sungirl said, "OK, Super Crew, hand over the jewels." The Justice Brigade looked around but saw that the Super Crew wasn't home; however, they had left something behind for them. Sungirl went to Lance's chair and saw the stolen loot with a note inside the bag. Sungirl read the letter and said, "Caught you on the news. I didn't want to end up in jail like my new friends, so I escaped and took my crew with me. But don't fret, we'll meet again someday, and here's all the loot Penny and Samson took. Lance." Iceboy said, "Lance was just an innocent bystander in this. Let's go." The Justice Brigade took the bag of loot, left the Super Crew's hideout, and turned the stolen loot over to the police.
