# Chapter 98
Eutostea tapped his chest a couple of times with her palm. Ares lingered for quite a while, then took his face off her. Eutostea heaved a sigh and loosened up the tension in her arms.
Right behind her was the mattress. Before her back reached the bed, Ares supported her body. He sat next to her and helped her to get up. Then carefully stroked her disheveled hair. Her rosy face slipped into his hand.
Eutostea dropped her gaze to avoid eye contact. Her eyes were going red and she blinked too often.
“Why are you crying?” Ares asked in a low voice. He could see her eyes moving under her eyelids.
Eutostea breathed a long deep sigh. Then raised her eyes and glanced down his chin.
“Because it’s sweet. This fruit is too sweet.”
Her voice sounded depressed. Ares didn’t think she was making up those reactions on purpose. She just didn’t finish her sentence. He wondered what she was trying to hide.
“Tell me why you are depressed. Was my kiss that bad?”
