A big piece disappeared into her mouth. When she squashed it with her teeth, the flesh of the fruit burst and tasted sour. It was juicy and had a sugary sweet finish. She had never tasted something like this before. Eutostea picked up another one unconsciously from the basket he was holding.
“It’s delicious. Where on earth does it come from?”
“They say it’s a special fruit growing near the Nile river. Because it requires a lot of water. Good that it pleases your taste. There’s plenty of it, so have as much as you like.”
While he was explaining, Eutostea also swallowed the second one. Ares removed the green leaf and stalk on top of another fruit and handed it to her.
