"Why didn't you wake us up?"
Ruis spoke with his clumsy tone. With that he scratches his hair. Trailing together with them.
"Well. I thought you guys had slept late. So I didn't disturb."
Ender said with a smile. Not looking at him.
"Yoo, have you guys meet that girl. Lisa."
Zack who was wondering about something spoke with his causal style.
"Huh?. You have meet her."
Ender asked him with curious eyes.
"Of course. She was the one who told us to came here. You have meet her too."
As Zack question him but found Ender lost in himself. His usual undreadable face.
~ Why didn't she tell me then?.
As he sighs before saying.
"Yeah, just cross her by accident."
Now the hall were the statues of knights were placed had come. Zack took a good of his surroundings. The statues even the chandeliers. As for Ruis and Ender they were lost in themselves. Walking like puppets. As they heard footsteps coming to saw Sara coming from front. She was grasping for breath as Zack goes to her.
"W– Where's Mr Sherlock room. I forgot."
She mumbled with her pleaded eyes.
"Just take a left turn and go straight."
Zack spoke firmly.
"Can one of you come with me. I– I got lost in the main hall but luckily Mr azon told me to come here."
"Fine.. I'm coming with you."
Zack spoke with a sigh as if he had plans for today. As he guided her, Ender and Ruis could only saw them disappearing from their sight.
"Well.. What now?."
Ruis said with confusion. Looking at where they both had gone.
"The world hasn't end idiot."
Ender spoke with a smirked. Where Ruis glared at him with blank face.
Suddenly they both heard collision of metals as they looked everywhere but couldn't saw any problem.
"I think these statues are alive."
Ruis whispered to his ear.
"Well let's keep going then.."
Ender sighs.
Nevertheless, they both started trailing together to the ground floor stairs.
After countless stepping stairs. They both finally reached the door which was the way to counter. Where Iris was sitting as usual. Wearing a light green off white elegant dress, with sleeves.
Ender and Ruis leaned to the wall, some sweat still visible on their forehead. As Ender started taking some deep breaths.
"You forget we can teleport."
Ruis spoke with a grin as Ender flabbergasted.
"You're telling me this now!"
They both started arguing as Iris called them.
"Hey boys. Come here."
With curious faces they looked at her before walking towards her. She had some envelopes in her hands as she gradually offered to them with a warm smile.
"What's this?"
Ender said while he was taking the envelope from her.
"Open it."
She spoke gracefully. As Ender gradually open it. It had some yurums stacked in it. As Ender takes out the yurums as started counting them. His eyes widened when he finished counting.
"20 yurums!."
He exclaimed with excitement as he rubs the money on his face delightfully. The sharp smell was quite graceful for him. Ruis was amazed too as Iris also handled it to him. Watching Ender who was fill with joy. Ruis takes out the yurums from the envelope and the same amount as of Ender. He chuckled pleasantly.
The door opened and Zack and Sara appeared. Watching Ender behaving like a child, their starred at him with blank faces.
~ Is this really this guy?.
Zack thought as he reflectively turned over Iris who handled him two envelopes, he gracefully gave one to Sara as he kept his one in his coat. The door opened from outside as Misha appeared, she reflectively brushed her hair over her ear as her eyes turned upon Ender. Seeing him like this, her face was startled where as her eyes were confused what was he witnessing.
– You bitch! See around yourself.
Ender inner voice echoed through him as he looked around. Seeing his friends even Iris witnessing him acting like a child. His face became red but he snorted.
"AHEM!"
As he goes beside Misha to the exit door of the building. Leaving the door opened but it gradually closed by itself.
"Well.. Is he like this?."
Iris asked Ruis softly.
"This is the first time I've seen him acting like this."
Ruis spoke in his usual tone. With that Zack stated.
"He is the most mature among all of us."
With that Misha walked towards them. As Iris who was wondering about something. Her eyes became bright the very moment.
"You guys will have classes on how to learn to control your powers, plus also about this world and other essential things."
She giggled.
"Classes?"
Ruis said with confusion. As he continues with a pause.
"Who will teach us then?. And will we all learn together.'
He wondered about the consequences as a small smile appeared on his cheek but he hid it by putting his hand over his lips.
"Leon will your teacher and you all will learn together."
She spoke with her smile. With that they started bantering together. The room grew chummy.
Meanwhile on outside Ender was walking around the town. The cobblestone streets aligning with narrow alleys where whispers were coming from, he was in a crowd of people near food stalls. His expression undreadable as he looked here and there. Maybe to distract himself.
~ Damn. What should I do?. No one is with me right now.
He thought to himself as he was quite bored.
– Let's go to bridge and eat some fish.
His inner voice advise to him as he starts walking. He was quite tall for the crowd as people were flowing from his back.
As after a while he reached the bridge where there were food stalls on bridge. Not just of fishes but diary and other stuff too.
He scratches his hair as whether to eat. He had a desire to eat a fish this day as he goes to a shop where shopkeeper was cooking finger fishes. The smell throughout the air. As Ender ordered him.
"3 fingers fishes."
"5 dom."
Ender nods as the shop owner started cooking fresh fish. He sat in the stool, seeing the view of the water flowing through the bridge. The cold winds calmed his heart and he could think of only one thing now.. Himself..
The sunlight shuffling on his hair as he leaned to the iron fence near the bridge.
~ Well. It really doesn't matter. I could enjoy by myself.
He smile but another thought came to him.
~ But whenever I spent time with them. It feels like it's only been a second. While hours have been passed.
He wondered why? . Why does it feel so good?. So real that he feels he is alive?. A feeling he can't experience now.
He looked around his surroundings, people bantering, kids running from here to there while mothers were scolding them not to, while looking his eyes glanced upon a homeless boy who was polishing shoes of men and in return they gave him one dom. He gracefully takes the money and keep it in a small wooden chest. Waiting for his next customer.
Ender eyes fixed at him, as the boy had a younger sister beside him who was wearing much better dress than him and eating some popcorns. She gave it to her brother but his hands were dirty so she told him to opened his mouth as she dropped popcorns on him as he chewed gracefully. They giggled for some while.
Ender goes to them and offered a yurum to the boy. Surprised by the amount, the boy shakes his head and spoke smoothly.
"I don't take money like a beggar. I earned it. If you want something then I can polish your shoes."
"Okay then.."
Ender smile as he gave his shoes to him as the boy started polishing them with a sponge and spray. After a while he polished and gave it to him as Ender gave the yurum to the boy.
"You don't have penny?."
The boy asked with his pleaded eyes. As Ender sighs.
"Well next time I will do it for free. How's that?"
He smile, a exaggerated smile. As the boy wondered but gradually takes it for him. A smile on his face as his sister embrace him.
Ender move out and goes to the fish owner who gave him fry fishes plate. This time he saw a wooden bench which was empty, deciding to sat there with finger fishes plate. He gracefully takes a bite of hot finger fish.
As he leaned to the bench. Looking at the blue sky. He thought.
~ I'm a monster.. For I couldn't save my own blood. Then how?. Why do I exist in the first place?. Maybe I don't and this is just a dream.
He sighs and smirked, his head down. As he heard a voice echoing from him.
– If you're a monster then will you hunt other monsters. Or be the prey of monsters.
Ender wondered for some time as he takes other bite of the finger fish.
~ I will hunt other monsters. This is what I have been told to do since I was born. This is my nature.
He takes the last bite of one finger fish.
~ It really doesn't matter to me if I exist or don't. The thing is I don't bound to anyone. Not even myself.. These bounds are chains to me.
As he heard footsteps and reflectively turned on his side. Seeing Zack and Misha standing there. His eyes widened.
~ Maybe even if I don't exist. I want to feel this emotion. Even if this is the last dream I had.
