Chapter 2 - party

But Tarahi still hadn't allowed him to enter.

Just then, one of the boy's assistants stepped forward and showed a letter, which was actually an invitation. Seeing this, Tarahi respectfully bowed his head and gestured with one hand, allowing them to go inside.

Inside, a man was already waiting to welcome them. In a commanding tone, he asked about the man standing outside—Tarahi—and the person next to him explained everything.

The boy was welcomed into the city with great celebration. The entire city had gathered just to catch a glimpse of him. Everyone was staring at the hero before them—they had heard many stories about him. Whether they were true or false, nobody knew, but as far as they were concerned, it was all true. He was riding a beautiful horse and was escorted with great pomp and grandeur all the way to the palace.

After all the guests were welcomed, he finally met the king. Meanwhile, Tarahi had returned home. Upon arriving, he saw his wife walking through a large garden full of white flowers and pulling out the grass that couldn't bloom. He called out to her—he had given her the nickname "Billi" (Cat). In a loud and authoritative voice, he shouted:

"Billi! Billi! The Maharaj has returned home. Come and welcome him!"

His wife, standing at a distance, heard this and looked at him angrily. Walking over in frustration, she said:

"How many times have I told you not to call me by that silly name? Yes, I like cats, but I'm not a cat! Just call me Ammu."

Hearing this, Tarahi raised his hands in surrender and replied:

"My Queen, forgive me! My mistake—it won't happen again. Now tell me, when will you be ready? We have to go to the party too!"

Hearing this, his wife nodded in agreement.

Then both of them got ready and left for the party that night. Many other warriors, their wives, and children had also arrived. The city's elite were present, along with many important figures and dignitaries.

Leaving his wife alone in one corner, Tarahi went to speak with some of his friends. Their son was with his wife. From a distance, a man noticed Tarahi's wife.

Wrapped in a saree, Tarahi's wife caught the attention of this man. He turned to the assistant standing next to him and asked:

"Who is this celestial beauty?"

The assistant looked at Tarahi's wife and then, with a slight smile, said:

"Prince, she is the wife of the same man who had that scuffle with you on the road."

Hearing this, a wicked smile appeared on the prince's face and he said:

"I wanted her for myself… but now, kill her."

The assistant was shocked and frightened. He replied hesitantly:

"Prince, this is not possible. That warrior is incredibly powerful. It's because of him that this place is still safe. If we dare to offend him like this, he will kill us all."
