Nolan smiled.
"Good."
He looked at them curiously.
"So, what's your name?"
The boy remained silent for a moment before finally speaking.
"My name is Louis, and this is my sister, Luana."
He pointed toward the girl beside him.
"We're twins."
"Oh, really?"
Nolan looked between the two of them.
"No wonder I noticed the similarities."
He smiled.
"How old are you?"
"We're both nine."
Louis answered while Luana nodded beside him.
"Oh, really?"
Nolan nodded.
Then—
Grrrrr.
Both children's stomachs suddenly growled.
Nolan's stomach growled at almost the exact same time.
He paused.
Then he laughed.
"Hahaha."
The twins lowered their heads, embarrassed.
"Don't be embarrassed."
Nolan reached out and took both of their hands.
"Come with me."
He smiled.
"You arrived at the perfect time. The food I was preparing should be ready by now."
The twins followed him through the forest.
Nolan pushed aside several branches.
"There we are."
Their eyes widened.
