No one expected Marlo to own Lantherion. The epic variant of it at that.
"Yeah," he said after the slithering serpent fully materialized behind him. It lingered like a ghost, almost hiding within its own freezing flames. "Mom's is weaker than mine. I got really lucky."
'So that's how it is,' Noa realized.
"What?" Kael exclaimed. "That woman is your mother?"
Marlo nodded. "Don't we resemble each other?" he said and pointed to his eyes.
They both had emerald green eyes that shone the same way mana around them did. But that was about it.
There were no other similar features between them.
And Marlo's eyes shimmered even more only after the Lantherion showed itself and completely affected the room.
Yet, there was something off about him.
The way he agreed with Noa that tamers came first and beasts came second now sounded like total bullshit.
He had an epic-ranked creature by his side.
