By the time Alexander returned home, it was late already.
Leaving his father's house, he headed straight to the office, resorting to his favorite means of distraction. It was still a Monday anyways and even with a few hours left before work hours became officially over, he could still spend all that hours working.
And he did. Until it was past 9pm and finally, he decided to head back home.
He read Lana's messages one more time, his fingers hovering over the keyboard as he thought of a response. He couldn't come up with one though and he eventually flipped the phone over and focused on driving.
It had only been a couple of days since he and Lana last resided in the same house but it felt like it had been longer. Despite the fact that they barely spoke to each other, there was still something about knowing she was in that regardless and now, that feeling was about to resurface.
