Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: This is Warhammer! Are Saiyans Even Human?

Axis was totally confused.

Seriously, was this really happening? He crossed over to the Dragon Ball world, only to get thrown straight into the Warhammer universe?

'I don't even have any top-tier system cheat or golden finger!

'All I've got is a Saiyan bloodline.

'I don't even know which great being sent me here, but could you please do me a favor and send me back? Honestly, the Dragon Ball world was actually pretty great!'

The scenery there was beautiful, the landscape pleasing, and there were all sorts of hilarious characters.

'The only real threat was the big boss early on, but as long as I played it smart and kept away from Earth, I could pretty much avoid him without too much trouble.'

'With my Saiyan blood, if I trained steadily and maybe managed to transform into Super Saiyan, as long as I stayed far from Earth where all the plot happened, I could easily be the king of the universe somewhere.'

'Even if I didn't have the potential for Super Saiyan, as long as I trained up to a battle power over ten thousand, ruling over a planet or two was totally doable.'

'When Earth entered a period of peace, I could just sneak in and collect the Dragon Balls, make a casual wish for immortality or something, and live the easy life.'

'As long as I didn't do anything outrageous, no one would bother with me. The Z Fighters would take care of all the problems anyway, I wouldn't need to worry about a thing.'

But switching to another world… 'Can I just say I don't want Warhammer?'

'Come on, you could've sent me to Marvel! Even DC would've been fine, sure, both universes have world-ending crises, but at least there are someone to rely on!'

'But no, I get tossed into the Warhammer universe…'

'Leman Russ, Fenris, the signs were all there.

'The guy who picked me up and ended up as my adoptive father wasn't some freakishly strong mutant native. He was a Primarch, one of the Emperor's gene-sons, the Primarch of the Space Wolves, Sixth Legion.

'Just my luck!

'And the man sitting here now, even taller and more imposing than my so-called adoptive father, it wasn't hard to guess who he was!'

The Emperor was collecting his Primarchs!

"Axis, my little wolf cub, what's wrong? Why are you suddenly asking about Earth? And you, stranger, do you know where Earth is? You called it Holy Terra?" Russ asked.

"Russ, I checked out the info on the old computer you brought back, and found that Fenris used to be a human colony from Earth. So, basically, we're all humans," Axis replied.

The Warhammer universe is notoriously unfriendly to non-human life, especially the Emperor himself.

He wouldn't even bother calling them aliens; they were simply xenos.

Whenever a xenos species was discovered, the Imperium would wipe them out first thing, and for the next ten thousand years, that's exactly what humanity would do, following the Emperor's Imperial Truth, carrying out a ruthless extermination of all xenos!

So right now, Axis felt like he absolutely had to pass himself off as human.

'I mean, Saiyans just have an extra tail at most. Worst case, I'm just some subhuman.

'Besides, my skull is perfectly round, and Saiyans can even have children with humans; there's not even reproductive isolation! Pretending to be human shouldn't be a problem.

'No—scratch that! Starting today, I am human!

'Luckily, I hadn't exposed my Saiyan identity before. Otherwise, with the Old emperor's personality, I'd be dead for sure!'

"Oh? So you're saying we're all human after all! I always thought everyone outside looked like us!

"Well done, my little wolf cub! You've made an amazing discovery. Do you want a reward?" Russ burst out laughing, completely unaware of how nervous Axis was at the moment.

Axis smiled back at Russ, doing his best to steady his breathing.

He used his ki to control his body, trying to act as natural as possible.

His original tail had already been cut off.

During a previous spar with Russ, he'd seen the moon, not the real Fenrisian moon, but a fake moonlight projected by his small spaceship.

You see, Saiyan pods, after landing, would project an artificial full moon to help young warriors quickly conquer a planet, triggering the Oozaru transformation.

During a bout with Russ, Axis had accidentally looked into the beam and transformed.

But since he'd already warned Russ that the tail was the Oozaru's weakness, Russ had managed to cut it off, preventing Axis from causing massive destruction on Fenris.

At that time, Axis's power level was over 400.

Once transformed, it shot up to 4000, more than enough to flatten a planet!

His tail never grew back after that.

'Good thing, too! The Emperor's attitude toward pure humans versus subhumans is very different.

"Russ, save the reward for later. Are you entertaining a guest?" Axis asked.

He wasn't sure how far the conversation had gone.

Had the Emperor revealed his true identity to Russ yet?

"Yeah! This stranger said he's from a faraway place. We were just about to chat when you came out," Russ replied, gesturing toward the Emperor.

The tall man gave him a strange sense of familiarity, an unexplainable closeness.

"Is this your adopted son? He's a sturdy little guy, no sign of radiation mutation, and a nice round skull. Hmm, a pure human," the Emperor said offhandedly after a brief glance at Axis.

Just a human child, he thought.

The hairstyle was odd, but nothing that caught the Emperor's attention.

While Primarchs were technically human, in essence they were a lifeform that transcended humanity.

They couldn't reproduce with ordinary humans, after all.

So this boy could only be an adopted son.

Perhaps he could even join the Astartes one day, the younger you are, the better the chances of surviving the transformation.

Hearing the Emperor's words, Axis secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Thankfully, Saiyans really were close to humans, and since he could have children with human women, from a biological standpoint, he counted as human too!

"That's right, he's my little wolf cub," Russ said, smiling and ruffling Axis's hair.

"It seems you've been living well on this planet. Now, let me tell you who I am.

'I am your father, your true father, and also the Lord of Humanity. I require you to kneel and swear allegiance to me," said the Emperor.

Pfft!

"Hahaha! This guy actually wants the great Wolf King to kneel and swear allegiance?

"Haha, that's hilarious!" Despite the Emperor's imposing presence, the warriors of the tribe couldn't help but laugh out loud.
