Inside Lord Elrien's private chambers, Yuta sat before the mirror as the eunuchs made a fuss over his appearance again.
Unlike the previous time when he'd completely dreaded meeting Lord Elrien in his study, this time, Yuta's stomach squeezed with something like anticipation, his heart making small flutters in his chest.
Yuta still felt like a doll, being prepared for display. His hair had been brushed until it shone, the Phoenix beauty mark adorning his forehead and his skin scented like orchid petals.

"But it's too revealing to serve in the throne room, didn't his lordship say not to…"
Yuta's ears perked at the mention of Lord Elrien.
His head lifted to stare at the eunuchs through the adorned mirror, his reflection showing eyes bright with curiosity.
