With the close of the first official day for the investigations into the murders of the future chosen heroes, the detectives returned to their personal lives. Most had their own families and plans for having fun — all except Kael Neren.
Dave had dropped him off at his apartment complex. Naturally, Dave tried to get Kael to follow him out. Unfortunately for the young detective, Kael did not have it in him to socialise. Moreover, going out would mean getting drinks, and Kael wanted to avoid it, at least for now.
The young detective had also passed on Riley's findings to him, giving Kael something to think about. The only issue with the witches' angle was that the connection between them and mind tampering was weak.
Witches did not equate to mind manipulation. Although further investigations would have to be carried out, that was a job for the other ARISA agents. Kael and Dave had no obligation to follow every little thing... that was what subordinates were for.
