Chapter 7 - 007: Time Skip

Xero walked through the pathway towards the Big door of the Safe Zone. Before the Big door were two heavy body builders who wore a black robe and had long guns strapped along their waist.

"Pff." Xero muttered to himself lightly as he stared at the doormen. His mind raced with possibilities. These men were armed with dangerous weapons and he had once come across them with his mother.

These men were strict with who went out of the Safe Zone and for what reason. Though that did not mean that they controlled their movements but their movements were checked by the security doormen who wanted to secure their safety.

They were a short branch of the Super Military who were assigned to every Safe Zone unit. They were still part of the Super Military but received orders from their own special unit force.

He stopped in front of them and they didn't react. He stared at them expecting them to open the door. Instead of doing that, they closed their bodies on the door.

"Please I want to get outside." Xero said as politely as possible. The doormen did not respond to his request and that infuriated Xero.

"I said I want—" he was rudely interrupted by one of the doormen.

"No one is getting out of here. At least not until the demon gate is cleared." Xero stared at him in shock

Was he seriously trampling on his right to movement? The fact that the doormen were actually acting bluntly against the orders of their superior cadet was still stunning to Xero.

"What happens to the order given by the Super Military? What happens to the order for us to get out there and help some dying heroes? We can't let them die out there. Or can you?" Xero asked but second doorman turned to him and smiled.

"Kid, they signed up for death. Their lives are in the battle field and they know that. Their lives must end in the battle field one day and this might be the day for many of them."

Xero stared at him in shock. Was he actually serious? Were the Super Military now a special form of human assigned to die? These were voluntary heroes of earth who did their best to save earth from the clutches of the demons. These were souls who had laid their lives at risk for ingrates like them?!

Xero smirked widely. A dark smirked that tore through his lips that made him look deadly. the first doorman stared at him in horror.

"What's with the glare boy? Hope you aren't going to do anything stupid?" the first doorman said as he as he stared at Xero. Xero smiled.

"Stupid? Have you thought of what would happen if the Super Military got wiped out of existence? Have you thought about what would happen if the Super Military decided to go against the humans? What would you say if the Super Military decided to leave humans at the mercy of demons?" Xero asked with a wide grin.

The first doorman stared at him in shock. He hadn't actually thought of it that way. Infact, he hadn't thought of it. The Super Military had enough ammunition to wipe out humanity but they used it for selfless services. They decided to protect humankind.

"Just shut up and get back to you poor mother. I'm sure your dad would be horrible if he saw you this way. You seem to be a drunkard, little boy. No wonder she doesn't let you out, you are a damn crazy chick." the second doorman thundered at Xero.

He stared at the second doorman in shock. He had just done what?! He had called upon his parents as rudely as that? Even if he had plans to attempt to sneak his way past them, he wasn't sure he would keep up with that silly act.

He launched a powerful dive at the second doorman and that moment, time skipped up to become his own pace.

For some reason, it was like he controlled time but he did not really care what he did. What he did care for was putting this man in the right place.

He walked fast even though the time had totally stopped in a mini second. He got to the man and grabbed his stacked gun. Snatching it, he pulled the trigger twice at him but the bullets were slower than the time and as such, it didn't flow out immediately.

"Damn you!!'' Xero exclaimed and time skipped back to normal.

In that brief moment, all Xero's acts zipped through. It seemed like light flashing through the difference between him and the second doorman.

Xero stood next to him with the gun in his hands. The bullets struck the doorman even before he could assimilate his situation.

"Arghh!!!!'' he screamed in pain as the bullets tore through his body. Xero smiled at him. He didn't understand his power or what it was but the satisfaction it gave him at this moment was all he needed.

"How did you..." the first doorman stammered in shock and fear. Xero smiled at him as he walked towards him.

"You would tell no one this or else I would kill you at the spot. Form up any lie. I'm going out there to have a good sight of what I have been missing all these years.

"Yyyess...yes. Yes..." the first doorman stammered in fear. Xero smiled, loving the new power he exuded. The doorman quickly opened the Big door for him to leave.

Xero smiled at him. His mysterious power was still a mystery but he was sure this was related to why his mother had kept him away from anyone for the past seventeen years.

"Damn. What was she thinking? That I would remain under her obedience forever? That damn woman. Only she knows why she has been hiding this from me. I will find out why but first, I've got to explore the outside world." Xero resolved as he stepped out of the Big door.
