Chapter 252 - Chapter 253: Purge the Traitor, Eliminate Akaba!

Have two kids, and the eldest takes a knife to slaughter the entire clan while the second lives in pain and hatred.

It couldn't possibly get any worse than this!

If it weren't for having already unlocked the Kaleidoscope Sharingan, Motonami Uchiha would've thought he'd awaken it just from watching this.

Don't get angry. Don't get anger.

Taking several deep breaths, Motonami Uchiha gradually calmed himself.

He flipped back a page and looked again, his temple throbbing painfully. If my son really is that stupid, he might as well die. Playing mind games with Danzo? Does he even take a piss in a cup and look at himself first?

This is pure desperation.

Although the full details of the Uchiha massacre hadn't been completely revealed yet, he could already guess quite a bit.

Based on the prior state of internal affairs within the Uchiha Clan, clearly the warmongering faction had taken control, forcing Fugaku to go along with their extreme approach.

No!

That wasn't all.

If it were purely an internal conflict, they wouldn't have reached this point—it must involve other factors too.

Motonami wracked his brain until inspiration suddenly struck.

Back then, the Nine-Tails originally came from Madara's summoning technique, so the aftermath of the Nine-Tails attack resulted in the Uchiha taking the blame. This was actually the deeper reason behind the Uchiha Clan's irreversible downfall.

He took a deep breath.

If that were true, then Fugaku really had no choice—he either rebelled or waited passively for death, because the village would never trust the Uchiha Clan again.

Of course, if this clan leader in the manga weren't named "Fugaku," but something else instead, he probably would've just blurted out "what an idiot."

"Clan Leader..."

Eno Uchiha called out cautiously.

The leader's expression shifted unpredictably, making it hard to tell what he was thinking. One thing was certain though—Motonami Uchiha was clearly in a terrible mood.

"It's fine."

The story wasn't over yet. Once this flashback of the Uchiha concluded, perhaps some plot-related confusions would become clearer.

Even if he did have to settle things with that punk kid sooner or later, there was no need to rush it right now.

Besides,

it's just a manga.

Despite its relation to the Uchiha, that audacious little brat had long stopped playing favorites when satirizing powerful clans in the village.

From the Senju down to the Hyuga, Akimichi, and even the Inuzuka clans—all had appeared in these comics before.

Moreover, the massacre itself had already been common knowledge beforehand; now they were simply revealing some of its circumstances. The impact on everyone wasn't particularly strong.

Motonami was upset purely because the clan leader shared the exact same name as his son.

But if he knew what was coming next, he definitely wouldn't remain so calm anymore.

In the manga shop, Akaba hesitated greatly over what was coming.

The next chapter was crucial—it involved an extremely secretive location—the stone tablet at [Naka Shrine].

[Naka Shrine] was a very special place indeed. It had once belonged to the ancestral lands of the Uchiha Clan far back in history, where the great battle between the Uchiha and Senju Clans had also occurred nearby.

Thus, [Naka Shrine] was actually the ancestral temple of the Uchiha, with the tablet's location hidden especially well. Outside of a few select Uchiha members, most people probably didn't even know such a tablet existed.

Drawing it wasn't difficult, but how could one explain knowing about this tablet in the first place?

Akaba was deeply troubled.

The plot seems unable to convince all readers if it ignores this point, making Sasuke's behavior towards Naruto appear even more bizarre and absurd.

"What should I do!"

Akaba had a splitting headache.

There was no doubt about it—if he revealed the exact location, every Uchiha in the village would come knocking, demanding to know how he had uncovered such a deeply buried secret.

Akaba couldn't mention the specific spot!

He took a deep breath and dismissed his initial idea of writing something like "the seventh tatami mat from the right." Instead, he decided to use the "secret" of the Naka River as a substitute.

"This is the only way. Otherwise, everyone in Konoha will suspect me. By replacing it with the Uchiha clan's secret, I can simply claim it was a deduction or logical inference. It might sound ridiculous, but fortunately, I've always acted smart and had access to some Anbu and Tobirama Senju's leftover records."

Akaba murmured to himself.

Then, he started drawing.

This chapter was crucial. To prevent any interference from shadow clones, he personally decided to draw this issue himself.

Once his plan was set, he began sketching.

After editing, a few scenes depicting the interaction between Itachi and Sasuke were cut, while later content was moved forward.

What remained was just a brief mention by Itachi of "Uchiha secrets hidden beneath the Naka River," without specifying an actual location, and Sasuke discovering the so-called secret entirely on his own.

Of course,

those parts were glossed over, never clearly stating exactly where.

To keep the manga on its original path, Akaba had truly wracked his brains—finally, everything seemed to work out.

Although the Uchiha would surely be upset, it wouldn't be a major problem.

The remaining Uchiha members held a relatively friendly stance toward Konoha and weren't nearly as extreme as the Uchiha loyal to Madara. If he had drawn this back then, the next day they probably would've staged a rebellion shouting, "Purge the traitors! Slay Akaba!"

After finishing all that, Akaba finally breathed a sigh of relief and sent Sakuma Yunlang to deliver this volume to Izumi Yamano.

With the update complete, Akaba could finally get some sleep or go out for fun.

But as he thought more carefully, he realized he'd forgotten to finish something.

He stepped out of the manga shop and began strolling along the street. After a few steps, he saw a figure flash briefly ahead.

"Hmm, right. The graduation training test."

Akaba patted his head.

These past two days had been hectic—his memory just felt worse than usual. Truth was, he hadn't really cared about the test at all.

This graduation test was nothing more than a formality, similar to a placement exam, meant to assess their progress during this period. No one was really going to be eliminated.

It wasn't like the final exam anyway—just a half-hearted effort would suffice.

A wave of drowsiness hit him.

Before, he thought his tiredness came from physical weakness, but after boosting his physique several times, he realized the real cause was plain laziness.

Understanding didn't help though—laziness was a habit he genuinely couldn't shake.

Caught between whether to go or not, he finally sighed lightly and said, "Shishio won't be leaving for his mission for a few more days. I'll train in his place for a while—at least let him have a break."

One shouldn't be such a slave driver.

Akaba activated the Flying Thunder God technique and instantly teleported to the Preparatory Division using his signature jutsu.

Shiso was still overseeing training, showing remarkable dedication. The way he looked at these Genin carried a sense of satisfaction and joy. He embraced the role of a training instructor even better than Akaba.

"Huh? Why are you here?"

Shiso showed surprise.

As teammates, he considered himself quite familiar with Akaba. Normally, this guy wouldn't come to the Preparatory Division unless there was something important.

"You know about the mission already, right?"

Akaba whispered.

He could already sense his own Flying Thunder God technique pattern on Shiso, proving that Shiso had received the mission but simply hadn't departed yet.

"Yeah, we're leaving in a few days."

Shiso nodded.

"Also, I remember your second nature transformation is Earth Release. Since Earth Release beats Water Release, I'll teach you one or two protective Earth Release techniques."

The Land of Water was known for its abundance of Water Release users, while Earth Release was renowned for its defensive capabilities. Learning more Earth Release techniques would enhance Shiso's ability to protect himself.

Akaba intended to teach him two ninjutsu techniques.

[Earth Flow Wall] and [Splitting Earth Turning Palm].

The first was an unquestionable defensive ninjutsu, while the latter was a relatively convenient Earth Release offensive technique.

They required only a small number of Points to exchange for them. Compared to what Akaba earned regularly, it was barely worth mentioning.

"In that case, I won't be polite then. Teaching classes for a while, getting some payment isn't excessive."

Shiso half-joked.

These two ninjutsu techniques were relatively simple and could be mastered within a short period. Moreover, Splitting Earth Turning Palm clearly bore the style of Rock ninja.

His talent wasn't bad at all. Compared to ordinary ninja, he could be considered exceptionally gifted. It didn't take long for Shiso to grasp these two relatively easy techniques.

Akaba didn't make him stay any longer. Instead, he waved him off to take a break while personally continuing to guide these Genin.

Their combat abilities had improved significantly in just a short time.

Putting others aside, Uchiha Ryo's Taijutsu had definitely improved greatly. As for Loe, his physique appeared noticeably sturdier, completely unlike before when Loe looked so frail.

What great progress!

Of course, he ignored the resentful gazes from these students.

Everyone went through that phase when they were young.

Akaba acted as if he hadn't seen anything and continued making them train. In the end, he announced plans for a test in three days.

After announcing the test schedule, he left behind a shadow clone while secretly sneaking away himself.

Since the jutsu formula was set up at the Manga Shop, Akaba exited from the Manga Shop and casually glanced at the comment board by the entrance. From the moment it was set up until now, increasingly more people had left their comments here.

Every time new chapters dropped, they had to clear out old comments or risk running out of space for new ones.

Just like usual, Akaba gave it a casual glance.

However, soon he noticed something unusual—there was an unusually large number of recent comments referencing [One Piece].

Many mentioned the "Seven Warlords," "Ace," and the "Whitebeard Pirates." Numerous comments expressed interest in Ace and Luffy's encounter, as well as Smoker's upcoming actions.

It seemed that as the story moved forward, more people were finally starting to see just how great [One Piece] really was.

Akaba felt delighted.

Although it couldn't rival the sheer number of stickers related to Naruto, compared to the past where only one or two existed featuring Sakumo, this was already tremendous progress.

He believed that as the plot deepened, readers would grow to love this manga even more—not just those like Sakumo or Nightdance, swordsmen who initially became fans due to personal reasons.

In the end, things will slowly start looking up!
