Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: Ninja Rain

The capture of the Two-Tails' jinchūriki by a single enemy sent shockwaves through the ranks of the Hidden Cloud Village. Their forces faltered at the sight of Yugito Nii, the powerful jinchūriki of the Two-Tails, being effortlessly subdued. It wasn't just a loss of manpower—it was a devastating blow to morale and a critical strategic disadvantage.

Mabui, personal assistant and secretary to the Fourth Raikage, stood in stunned silence. Her normally composed and resolute expression gave way to panic. Her skin, already dark-toned, now looked almost ashen with worry.

"What do we do now?" she muttered, panic creeping into her voice for the first time.

Their greatest asset, a full-tailed beast host, had just been overpowered and captured. And worse—the enemy who had done it was still in the battlefield. That meant there was someone among the opposing forces strong enough to defeat a jinchūriki in full transformation.

This realization shifted the entire balance of the war. If Ryosuke—this unknown but terrifying Uchiha warrior—were to break into the front lines, it could mean total disaster.

Darui and C, two of the strongest elite jōnin in the Cloud, arrived moments later, expressions grim as they assessed the situation. Mabui turned toward them, already calculating their next move.

"There's only one thing we can do," she said, her voice steadying. "The three of us need to hold him back until the Raikage and the Eight-Tails can defeat their opponents. We cannot let this monster reach the front lines."

Both men nodded solemnly. There was no time to hesitate. Originally, the three had been tasked with confronting Ryosuke anyway, but no one had anticipated this level of power. Still, they had no choice now.

Darui, known for wielding the unique Black Lightning of the Third Raikage, and C, a genjutsu expert, prepared to engage. Mabui, despite not being a frontline combatant, steeled herself.

The trio moved to intercept Ryosuke.

Ryosuke, meanwhile, had already taken notice of the three closing in on him. A woman with dark skin and sharp eyes—Mabui. A lean, golden-haired man—C. And the third, a calm, white-haired shinobi with darker skin—Darui.

Ryosuke recognized them. These were not unknowns. C and Darui would go on to become the Fourth Raikage's most trusted lieutenants. While they were not yet at their future peak, they still represented formidable talent. Mabui too—while not known for raw combat ability—was a key tactical asset of the Cloud.

He tilted his head slightly. Interesting... I suppose capturing one of them might be useful. His gaze lingered on Mabui. She'd make a fine bargaining chip.

Mabui stepped forward boldly and barked, "Release Yugito Nii. We'll be your opponents now."

To their surprise, Ryosuke smirked and casually tossed the unconscious jinchūriki toward them. C caught her, but the force of the throw staggered him. He gritted his teeth, making sure Yugito wasn't further injured. After checking her breathing and confirming that she was merely unconscious, he passed her to Mabui.

But before anyone could react further, C sprang into action, hoping to seize the initiative.

"Lightning Style: Lightning Flash!" he shouted, forming hand seals.

Bright golden light erupted around him—his signature genjutsu technique. The flash wasn't just visual; it also carried subtle chakra signals meant to disorient and ensnare the opponent's mind in illusion.

Darui, recognizing the opportunity, followed immediately.

"Let's end this quickly."

He formed his own set of hand seals. Dark, pulsing electricity began to swirl around his arm. "Black Panther!" he roared, launching a jagged wave of high-intensity black lightning straight at Ryosuke.

The plan was simple—C would disorient Ryosuke long enough for Darui's most powerful technique to land cleanly.

But Ryosuke wasn't just strong—he was also experienced. The sudden light from C's genjutsu momentarily blurred his vision, and his mind felt a faint tug. But his body, reinforced by the Eight Gates technique, surged with chakra far too wild to be controlled by external illusions.

With a pulse of will, Ryosuke shattered the genjutsu's hold.

Foolish. He thought. You can't bind someone whose chakra is bursting through their own limits.

His Sharingan spun violently as he tracked the incoming black lightning. He shifted his body sideways at the last second. The bolt missed him by inches and exploded against the ground, kicking up dirt and leaving a smoking crater.

Ryosuke blinked once. That could've hurt if it hit directly.

Before the two shinobi could react, he launched himself at them.

A blur.

A crack of air.

And then—impact.

With two precise punches, he slammed his fists into both Darui and C's chests. Their bodies went airborne, blood spurting from their mouths as they were hurled backward like ragdolls. They landed hard, limbs twisted, groaning before passing out.

Mabui gasped.

That... that was inhuman.

She froze. Her body refused to move. Her instincts screamed at her to flee, but her legs were locked in place.

Ryosuke calmly stepped up to her. He said nothing—his eyes were devoid of hesitation.

A hand lashed out, gripping her throat. She choked, gasping, her vision swimming. He kneed her in the stomach, and her body gave out. Unconscious, she slumped to the ground next to her teammates.

Ryosuke looked down at the defeated trio, then turned his gaze toward the rest of the battlefield.

The Hidden Cloud forces had stopped moving.

They had seen everything.

A single man had taken out three of their finest without even drawing a weapon. C, their genjutsu specialist. Darui, the only inheritor of the Third Raikage's Black Lightning. Mabui, the tactical backbone of the village.

All of them—beaten in under a minute.

Whispers broke out among the ranks.

"Is he even human?"

"What kind of monster is this guy?"

Their will to fight cracked.

And yet, among the fear-stricken forces, one voice rose in defiance.

"Are you all scared of one man?! We're still Hidden Cloud shinobi!"

A jōnin stepped forward, sword drawn. "If we let him go unchecked, this war is lost!"

He charged Ryosuke, sword flashing. Others followed—more jōnin, desperate to stop the inevitable.

Some unleashed lightning-style techniques. Others engaged in close combat with blades and kunai.

Ryosuke met them all head-on.

His Sharingan allowed him to predict their movements. His speed, enhanced by the Eight Gates, outpaced every attack. Lightning bolts missed him by inches. Swords clashed against air. And with each counterattack, shinobi were sent flying.

One after another—bodies hurled through the air like dolls.

The battlefield echoed with crashes and screams.

Within minutes, it began to rain—not water, but bodies.

Cloud ninja falling from the sky, unconscious, bloodied, broken.

The name that would echo after this day was whispered for the first time:

"The Uchiha who rained down shinobi."
