Chapter 45 - 45: Another Premium Ten-Pull

"Look at that—the Half-Blood Prince's notes." Louis patted the dust off the old book and flipped to the first page.

"This book belongs to the Half-Blood Prince. Just how edgy was Snape when he wrote that? And the fact that he kept it... If it were me, I'd have burned this blackmail material eight hundred years ago." Louis shook his head and began flipping rapidly through the annotations.

As he read, he could feel his left Sharingan eye trembling. Ever since the last illusion he cast using the instant Mind Enhancement Serum, the replica Sharingan had become unstable. It probably wouldn't last much longer.

He needed to find a replacement illusion technique soon.

After ten minutes, Louis had finished reading the entire book and memorized every annotated revision. As for that spell called Shadowless Phantom Blade, Louis couldn't use it himself, but he committed it to memory—it could be passed on to someone else for self-defense.

Returning the book to its original place, Louis found a discreet seat and prepared for another round of draws.

Time for another Premium Ten-Pull!

> [Premium Draw: 10 attempts, Trick Points consumed: 5,000. Remaining points: 14,320]

Golden light flashed before his eyes as one item after another appeared in front of him. Louis quickly swept them into his storage space.

After all, this was a public area—better safe than sorry.

> [You received Miscellaneous: Death Crystal ×1, Dragon Blood Body Wash ×1]

> [You received Skill: Teleportation ×1]

> [You received Enhancements: Concentrated Spirit-Form Mutagen ×3, Gene Enhancement Serum (Avian) ×1, Qi Magic Seed ×1]

> [You received Special Items: Sherlock Holmes' Pipe ×1, Mejai's Soulstealer Scroll ×1]

Louis began sorting through the items by category and usefulness.

First up—something entirely new: Skill – Teleportation.

More accurately, it was a summoner's skill.

That's right, it originated from the game League of Legends. In-game, it allowed a player's champion to teleport to an allied unit, making that unit invulnerable during the channel.

In reality, the skill allowed the user to select a person or object. After a four-second charge, they would be teleported to that target, and the person or object would remain invulnerable during the process.

Even better, the ability wasn't limited to Louis—it could also be applied to anything under his control. For instance, if he were operating a puppet, he could teleport the puppet to a desired location.

A practical ability, combining mobility and protection. If Louis wanted to shield someone, he just had to tag them, then teleport in the moment he sensed danger—invulnerable for four seconds, arriving just in time to wreck the enemy.

The only drawback? Louis couldn't perceive danger to a marked target. He'd need the target to actively reach out to him—that was the one limitation.

Then came the Miscellaneous items.

One was the dramatic-sounding Death Crystal, the other, a bizarre Dragon Blood Body Wash.

> Death Crystal: A mysterious crystal that lets the holder see visions of their own death. Warning: It is sentient and may influence or even control its user.

The Death Crystal came from Rick and Morty. Pretty useless overall—and even dangerous. Definitely a dud.

"But not bad for torture," Louis muttered. "Didn't Harry's sidekick have a pet rat? I could throw this at it sometime."

As he held the crystal, his vision fragmented into countless small panels—but each one was blank, no image at all.

That was because Louis couldn't die. His immortality made it impossible for the crystal to foresee his death.

He tossed the crystal into storage for now and turned to the other oddball item.

Dragon Blood Body Wash? Sounded like a scam.

But when he read the description, Louis realized he'd underestimated it.

> Dragon Blood Body Wash: The latest product from an industrialized lab in another world. Synthesized from dragon blood via flesh-and-blood magic. The dragons in the lab have not sustained any physical harm. Each use in measured doses slightly increases resistance to fire and physical damage.

Though it emphasized "slightly," the bottle looked like it contained 100–200 liters—enough to kill a regular person with a soak.

"Now this… this is great. I'll hold onto it and give it a try tonight." Louis planned to repackage some into smaller bottles and send them to his parents. With no usage requirements, it would be a great way to give them some basic protection.

Then came Louis's favorite category—Enhancements.

Even the normal-tier ones had been decent, so the premium ones shouldn't disappoint.

> Concentrated Spirit-Form Mutagen: Do not ingest or inject. Minors must use under supervision of explosive ordnance disposal unit. Usage: Soak the head. Greatly enhances user's spirit-form. Risk of explosion if user's body is too weak.

Although this wasn't the illusion skill Louis had been hoping for to replace his Sharingan, this new mind-enhancing item was powerful. Risky, sure—but with the powers of the Horse and Dog Talismans, Louis wasn't worried.

He stashed the mutagen and planned to test it that night in the washroom.

> Gene Enhancembent Serum (Avian): Tailored to birds. Removes redundant genes and enhances muscle, bone, and feather expression.

> Qi Magic Seed: The beginning of Qi-based magic. (Qi Magic: Uses the natural energy of "Qi" in conjunction with ritual and materials to achieve magical effects. Comes with introductory knowledge of Qi Magic.)

Another gene serum—and one Louis could actually use. Fafnir may have the name of a dragon, but not the build. Hopefully, this would toughen the little guy up.

Then there was the Qi Magic Seed. At first Louis thought it might be related to the magic of the Harry Potter world, but the description revealed it came from the same world as the Twelve Talismans.

Qi Magic was a unique system from that universe. Whether gods, demons, or ordinary wizards, all relied on "Qi"—a universal life energy.

And it had a clear moral alignment: good people used righteous Qi; evil ones used dark Qi.

Louis considered it for only a moment before deciding—he'd absorb it.
